I got a gel manicure and obviously they try to persuade you to do SNS, which I find slightly bothersome because one should not question which services you want. I got the gel manicure and my nails are uneven, not the same shape and the gel is not evenly coated on my nails. As for my toes, they forgot I asked for a pedicure (which is fine) but then I waited for 15 minutes to get a pedicure when I scheduled this appointment a day in advance. The pedicure was fine, but I had to correct the woman doing my toes to remove the huge chunk of fuzz that came off the tip of the polish brush onto my nail. I'm super bummed. Tried this new place and figured based off the store location and appearance it would be top quality. I called for an appointment and was told it was 50 for a liquid gel fill. A little high but was willing to pay anyways. It ended up taking 1 hour and 45 minutes! The gentleman completely took off my entire old set and put on a new set. I was so confused the entire time but I couldn't really stop him.. all my nails were gone. I kept repeating.. "I just want a gel fill" and he said yes.. this is how we do it. I said I wanted thick as I'm hard on my nails.. and he does them super thin. I asked for another layer but he kept insisting "this is better". They were out of 2 colors I selected and took 20 min just to find a color that was similar. But that's no big deal. The thing that bothered me most was upon leaving.. they tried to charge me 65 dollars!!! Because they did a full set? When I never ever ever asked for that. I politely refused to pay for something I didn't agree or ask for. I was almost in tears as I live 40 min away and had to get home to my baby. I just wanted to get out of there! And a simple gel fill that could have taken 45 min.. took 1:45! Not to mention.. I'm on day 3 and the color is wearing on the ends and they look like they've been on 2 weeks! So disappointed and unhappy. The ONLY thing good about this place is the very kind young guy working at the front desk who was nice.. polite.. and personal. If it weren't for him.. I just got a full set from Tom and he was great! I like short and natural which I find sometimes is hard to get perfect. Kevin at the front reception was awesome! So friendly, professional and he checked in on me to see if I was getting everything I needed. He helped out the other technicians and cleaned up after them when they were done. I don't always have the friendliest experience at nail salons but Kevin and Tom made me feel comfortable. I have been here 3 times and the last two times were really bad. SNS was completely rushed and when he finished he didn't check his work, clean up my nails, no cuticle oil and no hand lotion/massage. It has been three days and the corners of my nails are chipping. The sides of my nails where he didn't file down the excess SNS powder is chipping off as well. The only reason I am giving three stars is because the pedicure looked decent and that's because I had a different lady doing them while my nails were being done. read more

Usually love this place. Pedicures were great, but waiting on someone to do manicure with nails soaking in acetone for an hour. No one was coming to do my nails. Finally just said I would pay for pedicures and daughters manicure. They apologized and said they would give me 50% off pedicures and would charge for me for soak off. My pedicure was done by Billi. He cut my nails uneven. He seemed rushed and like he just did not care at all. He did maybe one coat of polish? It looks like he only put on a clear coat. Then he up and left after painting the one coat. Didn't give me a ticket to check out, didn't say he would be back or tell me I was done. I was so confused. The pedicure was not worth $35. She can always do any design I want and is so nice It's the best salon for SNS (pricey, specially with designs, but you get what you pay for!!) This is one of my favorite nail salons in the Arcadia area! I was happy they were able to take me as a walk in last week. The service here is top notch. You sign in , ( although I don't leave my phone number as a trust issue !) ; and I was are greeted with a request of water or ? Who doesn't need a fresh bottle of water in this crazy Arizona heat this time of year? I was ushered to my pedicure chair and given a menu for treatment options. I like that most treatments are organic and above all, the place is clean and sanitary. This time of year , I usually get a more 'high end' pedi due to wearing flip flops; no flops or shoes in my home and heels at work coupled with the fact it's dryer than 1000 lizard skins , callouses arise in no time and well, that's just not pretty. I opted for the pedi that has it all. My favorite part are the hot stones and warm towels that have applied pressure. I put away my technology and just try and relax. I was also given another menu at the beginning of my pedi for a drink option. Yes! They serve all types of gratis libations here like beer; wine and even mimosas. They also have hot tea. Driving , I would stick with my water, but nice touch! The powder dip and gel polish options are also HUGE! I could not believe how many swatches I was given for powder dips. Now, I will say that this isn't the cheapest salon to get a mani / pedi at, as my pedicure and powder dip was $93 before tip and even having a pedi with scrub; stones ; massage ; callous removal and basic polish , I think that's a tad steep.And my callouses were done SO well, they were a little sore for two days .. so maybe not SO much pressure next time. But I will say, in my opinion, quality over quantity matter to me in a nail salon. Here , you get both! My mani with powder will last over 3 weeks and the techs , ( an older gentleman and younger guy), were so nice and polite and professional that is worth a lot to me! Bring cash for a tip! read more

I returned to have my nails fixed and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Gracie, my nail tech, recommended that I try SNS on my next visit. I will be back to try the SNS. . . . The salon is super clean, the staff is personable and there is a wide variety of colors to choose from. I strayed from the salon that I consistently go to and love for this closer alternative. I went here twice in a row (spaced between two weeks in between)for a hard gel fill with gel polish. I rarely have issues with chopped/broken nails and this happened to me twice in a row after their services. They do offer a 7 day guarantee, which is great, that I did not take them up on, which was my mistake/choice. However, getting my nails done isn't one of my most favorite activities and it's a drag for me to go weekly for touch ups/fixes. Will return when in a pinch but will stay loyal to my OG salon in North Scottsdale, Desert Nail Spa. read more

I'm sad to leave this review. I used Tracy initially for my SNS and she was so sweet and good at her job! To the point that I initially left a 5 star review for this place JUST for her! But since Yelp only lets you leave one review per business, I am forced to edit my initial review based on my last experience. I went in to get a fill on my SNS. I called beforehand to make an appointment. I was told that Tracy was out of town and that i would be put with another lady. I go in, I tell the lady I want "ballerina shape." She starts my nails, then another client comes in and she doesn't say a word to me, just gets up and moves a chair over to start the other clients nails! Then a man walks up and starts saying "ballerina, ballerina" in a condescending tone. Grabs my hands and starts shaping them. I'm completely thrown back. I told him the color I wanted and he says "no, that'll look weird." Umm, ok, these are my nails! So HE PICKS another shade. Puts it on my pinky nail and I don't like it. I told him I wanted the dark red still. He drops, literally drops the powder, stands up pissed off, rolls his eyes AT ME and walks away! I was in DISBELIEF. I look over at the girl that was initially doing my nails and she said "oh he didn't understand that you wanted that one." Umm, yes he did. And even if he didn't, that gives him no right to be so rude to a client! He was silent during the rest of the manicure. Rushing and huffing and puffing. Cut up 4 of my cuticles. This experience was so bad I was put into tears. He tells me "wash hands!" Not "go wash your hands please" or "don't use soap just water." Just "wash hands!" in his rude voice. Afterwards he finishes and just gets up and walks away. Not a word. Not a single word! I'm sitting there like "ok? Am I done?" The girl next to me says "wait 5 minutes then you're done." Ok, the jerk doing my nails couldn't have told me that?! I go to the front to pay and I made it clear to the lady at the front desk how much of a horrible experience I had. She said that guy was Tracy's husband. So there's that. I'll never return to this location again. And I literally cannot believe this guy is still working there! They charged $70 every time I went there. Which was many times before this horrible experience. My son and I would go in just for pedicures! I went to the Herbal nails on Scottsdale Rd. and paid only $44 for the same SNS nails but with a BETTER experience where I was actually treated like a customer! I'll never return to the Herbal Nails on Indian School again and it's a shame that all of the bad reviews posted are ACCURATE. read more

Coming from Fort Bragg, NC where TONS of nail salons flood the streets, We are happy to be back in town today to get her nails done here! This place is AMAZING!!! Well this was probably one of the worst pedicures and manicures I've had in a while , the chairs didn't work , they rushed my mani and pedi they didn't care to do it right, the French I got done on my mani was super crooked they were rude to my mom and told her she was too old for the color she chose ,then they just left us there sitting and never came back to check if our polish was dry and ready to go, as soon as I walk outside my nail polish smudged because it was still wet, they out the wrong color on my nails and told me it just looks different because it wasn't dry, they thinned out the nail polish so my color didn't even last a day. Being a person of color we ALWAYS have to deal with racism EVERYWHERE but at this place the employees treated us great! We got stares from the high class whites but that's expected. This place has the worst customer service. The first time I went I had every single nail cuticle bleeding on my hands. The stylist told me he had to cut me to give me an almond shape. Literally blood on the towel. The receptionist fought me on it and I ended up paying and leaving upset. I went back again months other and made an appointment and asked for a different tech and I sat for 35 min waiting to get started and then it took 2.5 hours to get an SNS fill. So a total of 3 hours for a fill. I didn't go back for months and I finally decided to go in for a polish change on my toes because of the location near my home and called ahead and the receptionist (Jenny) told me to come by now. I get to the salon 5min later and I stood in the waiting area for 10min until someone finally came to talk to me and she told me it would be 35min now before she could take a polish change and when I said ok and went to leave she started laughing with her fellow employees like it was funny that I just wasted my time. Don't go. Very rude reception and management. ----- In response to the manager comment trying to dismiss this review: I've also been to the chandler location and it's much nicer. Awful service, awful nail job. Within one day my partner's gel nail job was chipping. Within three days it was gone completely. All she had done between day one and three was drive out of state, nothing else. When we came in we were pressured into getting the nails redone because 'the technician didn't know what he was doing last time'. It took a lot of complaining before they offered her a refund. I came here for mani w/dip and a peti and I'm so glad I took a chance on this place. I had a bad experience at a different nail salon in Mesa so I was a little afraid of trying another place in AZ. Lynn did my nails and she did such an amazing job! Paul did my pedi and it was one of the best I've ever had. They were both extremely friendly, skilled and quick without giving me that feeling of being rushed.
