I have gone there for sometime now. This past week I had my nails done by one of the people there and it was not a good job. Contacted the manager after I left the salon. I told her what had happened she told me to come back and they would redo them. They assigned a girl by the name of Angel she did an excellent job. I got a pedicure from this nail salon and am currently sitting at urgent care because my toenails were infected during my pedicure. The Urgent Care doctor advised this type of infection is most common when tools are not properly cleaned between customers. Go at your own risk. read more

When I came in I was informed that it was a first come first serve and I waited 2 1/2 hours and watched 4 - 5 customers who came in after me get seen before me. When I asked the receptionist she said it was because they only have certain nail techs that do acrylic. That information would have been nice to know when I asked to be put on the waiting list. The place was very clean and the people were all very friendly. My kid and another kid were there and the employees were so great with them. Neither of them got their nails done, but they do offer kid manicures and pedicures for children under 10. I was having a great experience until the guy who was doing my pedicure caused my big toe to bleed. This happened toward the beginning of my pedicure so you could imagine how much it burned every time a lotion or spray or anything was applied to that toe. He didn't even acknowledge that he caused my toe to bleed. I'm not even sure how he made it bleed, but my toe ended up hurting for several days after that. Other than that part though, the pedicure was good and relaxing. Just be mindful that they take their time. For example, my pedicure was over 45 minutes. The place is also fairly expensive. It cost over $40 for my basic pedicure. They do have a first time customer coupon for 20% off, but when I told the lady at the front desk that I had the coupon she got kind of rude with me about using it. Also, some of the other reviews mentioned that they have alcohol and other drinks, but I was only offered water. read more

I wanted to like this nail salon so bad, I hope you have a better experience if you find it worth going too. I've never had any issues with my nails until this salon and I'm 25. I got gel in which started peeling off in two days. Not just one nail was peeling off but multiple. They drilled my nails down so far my nails are left so weak and painful. Worst experience ever. Went in with my 2 daughters and entire staff was rude. Overcharged me for kids. Got SNS done on my nails. Wish I got the guys name. He did a terrible job. He didn't use the electric file to flatten them out so my nails look like hills, they are clumpy, a couple were filed crooked and after telling him NOT to clip my nails that I like them long he clipped my entire pinky nail off. I have never gotten a manicure where they don't put lotion on at the end. He just got up and walked away without saying a word and I sat there for 5 minutes thinking he was coming back to file them down and then do the massage only to look over to see he went into a room next to me to start on another persons nails. I was referred to this place by a colleague and decided to try them out. This place is SO gorgeous, the decorating and even the pedicure bowls that light up down to the cool sink in the bathroom, they really wanted to make this a beautifully designed place and they nailed it-get it, nailed ;) ok so anyway, this place was pretty busy for noon on a Friday but there were a lot of technicians and I didn't have to wait more than 2 mins. I was sat in front of a sweet man Tony who gave me a pretty big sized basket of SNS colors to choose from. I'm always looking to change colors and LOVE having many options to choose from so this was great! Tony did an amazing job making sure that each nail was perfectly shaped and even, I'm very happy with the service and the only thing I would add is that I didn't find out until I was leaving that they serve alcohol. I wasn't offered a drink of water let alone a glass of wine. That would have been an added bonus but I'm guessing you have to ask for it? read more

The nails I asked for were not what I received. The nail tech I also had did not do her job well, she was so rude and short and wouldn't listen to what I had to say for what I want. She rushed my toe nails as well as my SNS dip they both turned out to be so bad and I ended up hating them so much that I had to go and get them removed and redid at different salon! read more

Long time customer of herbal nails on Scottsdale Road. I decided to give the new Arcadia location a try today and I was disappointed. First of all I will tell you I did enjoy the gentleman who did my nails ( can't remember his name) He was very friendly but rather slow. I went in for a SNS removal and regular mani and walked out an hour later! Too long in my opinion for just a mani and removal service. My previous SNS wasn't coming off too easily I guess but still a pretty long service for what I got. The place is very nice and clean. Very upscale feel. Hence the 2 stars. I opted out of getting nail polish on because of timing. I have attached pictures of what I paid $25 and 1 hour of my time for. I was a bit upset with the price. $18 for mani & $7 for SnS removal. This $18 mani was overpriced and I am not happy with my nails. I did mention the price to the receptionist checking me out and showed her my nails. She brushed it off and tried to run my card. My chip wasn't reading for some reason and she didn't seem to know what to do so I asked if she had a way to just type in my number. I paid my $25 and just left. I do not mind paying a higher price for a good product. Like I said I usually go to the Scottsdale location and have never walked out with nails I wasn't happy with. I went here today because my regular place was booked. I went in requesting gel removal and a regular manicure. The establishment is clean and fun. However when they brought me back the receptionist told my nail tech what I wanted and laughed at her. The nail tech gave a horrible face and was resistant to come sit down. The manager with the dogs spoke to in a language I couldn't understand to the nail tech and then I was questioned on why I didn't want a gel manicure. I'm assuming the nail tech wanted me to get something more expensive for a bigger tip. The last rushed my manicure... I was in and out in 20 mins. The so called massage didn't last 1.5 minutes for both hands... I felt questioned and the entire manicure was uncomfortable. Will never go back. I simply wanted a manicure. This was my third time going to Herbal Nails. My previous two experiences were fine, but this one was very upsetting. I'm not a regular so I don't have a specific person I like to go to. I went in with gel polish on from a different salon. I had them take it off and apply SNS instead. Not only was I scolded several times for having gel on my nails (because of how damaging it is), it took forever for the nail artist to remove it and she didn't even do a good job. She was all over the place. She cut me THREE TIMES after I told her to stop because it was hurting. All I got was a "woops! Sorry!" Followed by two more cuts. One finger was so bad it was bleeding. Her she continued to be rough and careless. My nails were nowhere near ready for the polish, they weren't even buffed properly and bits of my old gel polish were still on. $50 later and my nails look horrible. There are hairs stuck to them, they feel grainy and bumpy and one of my cuts is still irritated/ swollen. Could I have complained and stayed/ have them redo everything? Sure. But the last thing I wanted to do was sit there for another hour and repeat this nightmare. I've never had such a bad experience with getting my nails done and I have no intention of going back to this place. While I'm sure that there are better nail artists at the salon and I got stuck with the worst one, this woman completely ruined the salon for me. read more

Was able to get a list of prices and an appointment time before they opened through messaging them on Facebook. They were accommodating to me being 15 minutes late. The pedicure was okay, not the best or worse I've ever had. The guy went to wipe the extra lotion of my leg, and there was something so sharp on the towel is made a good 12 inch scratch down my leg. Worried about an infection so going to keep an eye on it. The manicure was also sub par, id go back to give them another chance though. I showed the receptionist the scratch on my leg and she said they will look at the towels when they have time. Fine, i just hope it doesn't happen to someone else. read more

My first time going I was placed with joe. Joe needs a bit of help with how to deal with customers. The set did not come out the way I wanted. When I went to go check out the lady did offer 25% discount. The next day The manager contact me asking if I was willing to go and get a fresh set. I got a new set with David. I was so disappointed in my experience here. Both my friend and i went to get a pedicure and we chose the cheapest one which was 30.00, when we went to pay they said that we did the #9, which was 40.00 one. When i clarified that my friend and i asked for the 30.00 one they did charge me for that one which i was thankful for. It isn't my fault their employees chose to do something extra. During the pedicure there was nothing "herbal" about it except that they used oranges on my legs before the massage. The nail polish was OPI. After I left and my polish was textured like he didn't even smoothly apply the polish. I thought I give Herbal Nails a shot. I heard many people hype up about the North Scottsdale location (never went due to its busy entrance). Anyways.....walking in you know your in a high end salon. I was greeted by receptionist. Took my name and phone number (which I totally understand .....but little unsure why my phone?). Then she asked what I wanted, I told her I wanted a gel mani and regular pedi. Right away without listening/comprehending asked what type of mani. I said gel mani and regular pedi. I sat down and waited. First receptionist had me move to get my gel off my hands. Then someone walked to the door, she left and had me look at colors. I waited I knew I wanted DND but the swatches weren't with the rest. I asked her politely if she knew where they were. She shouted at on of her coworkers and had hard time finding it for a couple seconds. I understand when your flustered or multitasking but you shouldn't act out with facial extensions or breathing heavy for customers to notices. Nope, sat for a second and moved ready for my pedi. Not once was I asked how I liked my water for my pedi which was full before I was sitting in the chair (I like mine HOT). Receptionist told me she be back to have my gel polish soak off (that never happened). As I got my feet in the pedicure bath. I then looked at the menu/services they have. The pedicure options shouldn't be scattered around like they had it. It's confusing cause the prices don't go low/high first. It should be easy. The man who did my pedicure was great. Fantastic service and his coworker next to him helped notify him I'm ticklish. The massage was just right and I didn't feel like he rushed which is good for how busy it was. After pedi was done I waited 8minutes until they staff was ready for my gel mani. Receptionist shouted across the room at 2 more coworkers. Had an issue with an appointment unsure of what they wanted and making facial extensions or breathing hard. When they were once ready for gel mani I believe her name on her cart was Anna which she never told me. I told her I wanted the same color as my toes. She like let's find something that matches and I told it was DND. And grab whatever looked like it. Finally her coworker told her to ask the guy who did my pedi. Like why didn't you do that to begin with. Instead of assuming what you choose was right. I told her I always get 3 coats of color and I wanted 3 coats that was fine. Along the way nail polish from her hands went on top mine. I would of whipped it off right away no she didn't. I did myself and she said it's fine. I told her I'm sick of looking at it for 3 minutes now and idk if that's yours or someone else's. Like it's not fine. Then as she got the 2 coats of color on I told her I didn't want 3 coats of color I wanted to put a glitter as the 3rd. She interrupted me as I was about to tell her she said no you can't right away. I told her sternly can you let me finish what I'm saying and this is my mani. Overall it was great when they were done. The only thing was her responding no while interrupting me. It's my service and I'm paying for it. And what I'm not hyped up is 32$ gel mani when I normally pay 30$. It's no different nor do you do something more. Yes it's high end spa but surely none of your employees treat others as if it was high end. I'll be back and give you more shots but not if this rudeness keeps up. read more
