You have to watch EXACTLY what they're charging you for!!! I went today and took my 4 year old daughter. I got a pedicure which I knew I knew would $60. But my baby got her nails polished (NOT a manicure) just polish. I told the tech that she wanted pink sparkly polish and one nail silver polish. That's it. I said nothing about a design. The tech put a few white dots on the pink nail. I get to the front to check out and they charged me $40 for her polish!!! FORTY DOLLARS!!!! I said "why are her nails $40?!" He said because of the designs...oh you mean the designs that I didn't ask for?!?!?!?! Ok cool, I'm not one to make a scene, but I ALWAYS make a mental note...never again. I hope that you needed those few dollars that much. Oh! And not to mention, when the tech that did her nails heard me ask that, she said something to him in their language. I'm assuming she said she just did those just because and he said something back to her, I don't know what was said obviously but the tone and look on his face gave me the impression that what's done is done. I have always driven by this place for several years, and have said I was going to give them a try, so I did. I walked in, and I wasn't greeted, but was immediately asked how I could be helped. I told the older gentleman that I would like to get a manicure. I was immediately seated as it wasn't busy at all. I looked to the left, right, and behind me and noticed the stations weren't the cleanest. I got debris on my clothing from the station next to me because he was filing a woman's pink polish off, and it was going everywhere. There was a very pungent chemical smell in there that you could sort of taste in your mouth, which was kind of overwhelming. No one smiled, nor spoke to you, which I'm not used to at the places I've been to for manicures. The technician, Hong Mai (Lily), did not talk to you other than asking if I wanted my nails shortened. I felt like I was just a number. I'm not even sure why it's called "Herbal Nails." I didn't notice anything "herbal" that they used. Here is the process I experienced there: nails clipped, nails filed, nails soaked (without cuticle cream), cuticles cut, nails polished, nails & hands oiled, 30-second hand massage, hands washed, you pay and leave. This was my first time at this salon and it will be my last. I came in requesting an acrylic full set be soaked off and a dip manicure done. I have been getting dip for years so I'm well versed on the steps. For starters, the acrylic was not fully soaked off before dip was applied, nail dehydrator was not used, they were hardly sanded/drilled down so around my cuticles is not cleaned up at all. When my nails start to grow out that will most likely result in lifting, when my cuticles were being trimmed I was cut and started to bleed. The gentleman that was doing my nails continued to dip my finger in the dip jar with blood on my finger, blood was smearing down my nail as he applied the polish prior to dipping, then he applied an over generous amount of nail glue to the cut which resulted in dried blood and dried glue all over my nail and cuticle. I went during my lunch break so I had to leave, but I called as soon as I got back to work to ask if I could come back when I got off for them to be redone. I was told that someone would need to look at them before they decided if they'd be redone free of charge because she stated "we don't know what really happened." I then explained that the gentleman has a trash can full of blood paper town pieces and the girl that rung me up saw my nail and apologized so 2 of her employees did know what happened. It was clear they were not going to redo them free of charge or acknowledge the horrendous job that was done. I included pictures of the cut, the dried up blood and nail glue, the amount of acrylic between my real nails and the pink dip. I will not be returning even to get them redone by someone else. UPDATE: after trying to clean off the dried up glue from my cuticle, it chipped the dip off and the top coat of clear gel polish peeled off on the bottom. Picture included. read more

Came in on my anniversary for me and my boyfriend. I got a full set he got a Manny Petty we both loved it. They provided him with the free soda while doing his toes. The staff was very friendly and funny. My nails were beautiful and she finished them in a timely manner. Actually she finished and a About an hour, hour and a half. The nails looked amazing 10 out of 10 highly recommend this business. My nail broke the day after getting them done sadly, but I went back the next day they fixed it no charged and worked fast. This was my first time at Herbal Nails. I went on a Saturday morning at 10am. I walked in and the place looked pretty and had a nice interior. They have like 4/5 TVs set up so it's nice if you're waiting. There is ample parking so that's not a concern. Anyway the place was packed, the manager Leo let me know it would be a 30 minute wait. I was fine with that. I appreciated his honesty in wait time. He mentioned that it gets less busy around 2pm for a Saturday. Leo went on to do my nails. I got a gell full set. I came to this location around 10:15AM on a Friday and was out by 11:15AM. I came in for a pedicure and SNS manicure. I was immediately greeted and taken to the pedicure chair. The salon was very clean and they have a ton of TVs-- no matter where you are seated you will be able to see a television. I showed Sophia a picture of how i wanted my nails and she was able to duplicate it. There is plenty of parking and I paid with a debit card. Unfortunately, I am no longer very impressed with this salon's quality of work. I gave them a few tries and after having some mediocre manicures, I'll be finding a new spot. My most recent visit was frustrating, as my nails were cut unevenly, given a squared off shape even though I asked for rounded, polish painted on top of my cuticle and finger on one nail, and for multiple nails (pictured), polish was not painted all the way to my cuticle, leaving my nails looking grown out after a fresh manicure. A week after the manicure, several nails are now peeling up. Wish I could get my money back since I'll be getting another manicure much sooner, since they're already peeling. read more

I walked in to this nail spa just to get a nail repair. I frequent this area often yet never came across this place before. I was greeted by Kim. Not sure if he was the owner but he knew a lot about the spa. In conversation he told me the prices and I asked if he could repair my nail. He said he could. He showed me their many gel colors and I grabbed a brochure. He was very detail oriented and seemed to be nice. It was nice talking to him. I will be due for a polish change in a week or two and told him I will be back. The place wasn't busy at all. I went in and was done in 20 minutes. That tip needed to be replaced and I wanted the tech to see the shape I wanted. i picked a color sat down she got started and quoted me the price. My 13 yr old was also getting a gel fill in. The tech didn't shape my nails quite right and she shorten them considerately, which I didn't want. My thumbnails are two different lengths. The cats eye polish I chose doesn't look good on such short nails. When it was time to pay, the price was $12.00 higher than what I was quoted. So the price was $17. I went on a Sunday and had appointments for me and my mom at noon for a pedicure and get manicure. We got there about 5 minutes early and picked out our nail color. The man that greeted us immediately wrapped our nails to remove the gel polish we still had on. We then went to the seats for the pedicure. My mother had someone working on her while I waited... my waiting turned in 12:38 (yes I kept checking the time), when a female employee came in, took her coat off, then said, I'll be with you in a minute which turned into another 5 minutes. Keep in mind it's 12:45, my feet and hands have been soaking for 45 minutes and our appointments were at noon. After a rushed 25 minute pedicure, I got no massage on my feet, neither did my mom, and we got a more pricey pedicure. I then waited another 10 minutes for another female employee to come take care of my nails. She proceeded to try and upsell my manicure to the SNS after all this, and tried for the next 10 minutes trying to upsell it, despite me saying maybe next time. Both employees did a terrible job on the quality of work. It's been less than a week and I have paint chipped on my toes and within 3 days of this appointment my nail looked like this (see picture). I sat and waited for Nancy for an hour today.... That was no big deal to me because she provided such a great service the first time I saw her. Today I only needed a polish change and when I finally got to Nancy's chair she was beyond rude. She told me that the design I wanted HAD to be done with gel polish (though the similar designs done last month were done with regular polish) I explained to her that she had just done my nails last month with regular polish and that I have allergic reactions around my cuticles when I get gel polish.
