Do NOT GO TO THIS MECHANIC. HE IS A LIAR AND A CROOK! He held me and my husbands car hostage for 3 months for unauthorized repairs. He will take out your engine and say he received authorization to fix the car by doing this. Hes also told us he could do whatever he wants to his customer's cars. He also made a racial comment to my mom saying " you know Black people ". We called the bbb, cpa, and Bayonne police. We then went to court which he had no evidence that he had authorization. My first encounter with Herbies Repair Shop I had a broken pulley that was attached to the motor of my 1997 Cadillac SLS and no other auto repair shops would touch it so I left in the hands of Herbie because he said he could fix it. I came here on a recommendation of a friend. Really nice people who try to help you as much as possible. The owner is knowledgeable, and everyone is hard-working. I stopped by to do brakes and get my oil changed on a busy Saturday, but they were able to take my car fairly quickly! I believe they do all types of repairs, which is a big plus.
