This company was fantastic! I arranged a move for this afternoon 5 days ago, so I put out a call to a bunch of places with good Yelp reviews. Maya got back to me quickly -- we went back & forth on email and it was all arranged that afternoon. The timing was dependent on the AM move, so we were prepared to be flexible. Vlad & his crew of 3 arrived at the storage unit 15 minutes after Maya called to give me a heads-up, which was perfect for me. The move consisted of 2 storage units and some items from a house. They filled the truck quickly and efficiently, and made 2 trips (note that their truck is 18' so we could either do 2 trips or 2 trucks) to the house. Everything was unloaded where the owner wanted it and they took care with heavy & fragile items. They are not the cheapest but you definitely get what you pay for. This was the first time I've ever had movers. My wife and I moved from DC to NY, and they truly made it an effortless experience. You can tell they enjoyed doing this type of work, which is difficult to find since it's such hard work. They were fast, too. I actually wanted to help move things to the truck but quickly realized I would just be getting in the way and slowing the movers down, lol. They loaded everything safely in an hour. This was our first time hiring movers and Here & Now made it a great experience. It was recommended for our move to hire a 3 man crew and truck for our apartment to three level townhome. We were booked for the afternoon with a time frame of 12-3. They arrived at 2 (still within time frame). Alex was very good at communicating on their status of arrival and any issues that needed to be brought up. It's understandable that moves can go longer than planned, therefore have some flexibility for the movers as they are working as hard as they can to get to their next job! Alex, Vlad, & Dmitri did an amazing job from the moment they stepped in to our apartment till they finished unloading at the new house. It's stressful when moving, but Alex kept his crew on point and worked efficiently. Worst moving experience I've ever had. Double booked for the day and we were the later of the two jobs. Movers didn't even finish packing up the house. It was a complete nightmare. I'd heard good things about Here & Now before I hired them for my move from DC to New York City, but it's impossible to oversell how fantastic they are to work with. Maya was incredibly helpful via email and phone in the weeks before the move. The movers, Alex and Vlad, showed up right on time and got straight to work, loading a 2-bedroom apartment into their truck in under an hour. They were friendly, communicative, and professional throughout the process -- and when they showed up in Brooklyn, they took incredible care with all of my items, making sure every last box, houseplant, and furniture item went exactly where I wanted it to go. About 10 minutes after they were done, I got a call from Alex -- turns out they hadn't noticed a loose *tennis ball* rolling around the truck. If I were in their shoes, I would have shrugged my shoulders and kept on driving. But these two wouldn't leave until they were positive every single one of my things, no matter how small, was exactly where it should be. This was the smoothest, least stressful move that I have ever had! Due to some issues, I had to confirm a mover with less than a week's notice - and other companies were not as willing to work with me in such a short turn around time. When I reached out to Here & Now Movers, Maya was informative and extremely helpful. When I called in to make my deposit, she was friendly and professional - it was such a calming experience and took such a weight of my shoulders. My movers, Miguel and Andrew, showed up on time (I received a call before hand from Maya too when they were on their way) and got right to work. They managed my 1 bedroom apartment in a cargo van like it was a game of Jenga! From start to finish, this team was great!!! I was referred by a friend who recently moved and I am so happy I listened to her. Maya was extremely helpful and professional when making my appointment and was very thorough in answering my questions and concerns. My moving team on the day of was just as phenomenal! I was moving out of an apartment on the 4th floor and moving into a brand new town home 20 minutes away where the majority of my apartment furniture needed to be placed on the 4th story... the team I had was tardy about 15 minutes at the beginning but they were very prompt with communicating with us, and honestly I felt like the time lag made no difference. From arriving at my apartment to leaving my house, these guys had finished the job in just under 3 hours! Alex, Vlad, and David were seriously like magicians in getting the work done and they had such a great attitude about it as well. You can try and be nice and help them out, but honestly my husband and I found that we were in their way because we simply couldn't keep up with their fast pace. They were all great guys and had me laughing from the beginning of the move to the end. They showed up within the window of time I was told by Maya. She was great btw. The two of us spoke in the phone and emailed before I decided to go with them. Her customer service and professionalism is what sold me and had me choose Here & Now over the other movers. Back to them showing up on time, I was greeted by Alex, Vladimir, and Sourget. Alex was super hilarious, he must have been a comedian in a past life. All of the movers were very professional. They moved all of my boxes from my apartment in under 40 minutes. They disassembled and reassembled my furniture. Nothing was damaged and nothing was missing.
