Loooooooved my experience here, and Olivia was GREAT. This was my second bridal shop (with the 1st shop, not being a great time) I tried. From the moment me and my group (I was able to bring in 3 guests) walked in, they made it special. The shop is beautiful, clean and very aesthetically pleasing, the sign in the front of the shop when you walk in featured my name, it was very cute. Olivia truly took the time to ask and listen to what I had in mind, and what I wanted to see while keeping my budget in mind. She knocked it out of the park with the 1st dress i tried on! My sister purchased her wedding dress from Here Comes the Bride last year. The initial appointment and fitting went smoothly. Staff were patient, friendly, and easy to work with. When we came in for her final fitting before the wedding in June, the dress did not fit properly. (Here Comes the Bride was not at fault. Her measurements changed slightly causing the dress to fit differently.) This was on a busy Sunday. The store was extremely crowded and we ended up leaving slightly upset. Rose worked with us to bring the bride back in that week for a final fitting. Rose and the seamstress worked with us to do final alternations on the spot. They were so helpful and kind. Here Comes the Bride was referred to me by one of my gfs, and this was one of my first stops in my hunt for a dress. I had no idea what silhouette looked nice on me, I just knew what I liked on Pinterest. They allow you to take photos, which is great, because what you see in pictures is different than what you see in the mirror, sometimes. I tried on everything I thought I liked, and everything my mother liked, and it was pure disaster. Unfortunately, I did not say yes to the dress on my first visit, but after trying on a thousand more dresses, and visiting every bridal boutique in the state of IL, I went back to Here Comes the Bride, and that's when I saw the dress I absolutely loved. It was completely out of my budget, and it was not anything that I thought I would have wanted, but it was perfect. I ended up purchasing the dress, and having the alterations there. I bought my dress here yesterday. It was only the second store I had ever been to but am so glad I did not purchase my dress from the store I had went to in the morning. The huge selection of dresses they have at HCTB is amazing. You are able to try on all different styles and sizes. I knew what I was looking for after going to my first appointment in the morning. Sam told me that she knew what exactly what I was looking for and immediately started pulling dresses for me which was helpful because there is a huge selection there and can be overwhelming especially for me because I can be indecisive at times. They also had the two dresses I had liked from the other store so I was easily able to compare my "favorites" from the other store to the new dresses that I had tried on and liked at HCTB. I ultimately chose my favorite dress from the first store and bought it at HCTB which ultimately saved me some money because the boutique like store I went to first had their gowns at a higher price. Sam was also very honest with me. let me ask questions, and try things on multiple times which I appreciated. They also let my mom and bridesmaid take pictures which was helpful for me to choose what dress I wanted. This place is not flashy like some of the newer bridal boutiques but I wasn't looking for a flashy bridal boutique; I was looking for a dress that made me look beautiful, was my style, and at my price point. Buying my wedding dress from HCTB has given me such peace of mind for my upcoming wedding. For starters, the staff is knowledgeable and professional. In addition, the prices are super competitive (best I saw, and I went to about 10 boutiques). Moving on, the selection is eclectic; huge variety at HCTB. In addition, my dress came in under 4 months. I can go on and on... My dress was ordered in an accurate size (we all know brides who have needed major alterations). Not me, because the staff used their expertise and not just the sizing chart. Very accurate! And their seamstress, Rudy, she is a class act. All in all, the staff knows what they're doing, and that's why I had faith in buying my dress at HCTB. They know their inventory, they know what works and what doesn't... they have true eyes for fashion, and their inventory proves it. You may shop around (it's good to get a feeling of what you like and don't like), but do yourself a favor and eventually buy your dress at HCTB. read more

We had a great experience trying on wedding gowns at Here Comes the Bride. They had a very large inventory of gowns to try on in multiple different silhouettes and styles. The price point was super reasonable here and the sample gowns were in great condition. 4 stars only because I did not find my wedding dress here, but that is no fault of the store. The store is very open, clean, and well decorated. My consultant Erin was very good at pulling dresses based on what I told her I was looking for and made great suggestions about ways to improve or customize the dress that was 'close' to what I wanted but not 'exactly it'. We shopped during COVID and felt comfortable with the cleanliness of the store. First, I need to start off by saying that I am the anti-bride. I'm just not that girl. Although I'm super girly and love everything fashion - planning a wedding gives me hives. Just the thought of having to buy a wedding dress made me pop a Xanax and drink a dirty martini. I mean, just watching "Say Yes to the Dress" gives me a panic attack. Not to mention, this isn't my first rodeo and I know what a pain wedding planning and dress shopping can be. So, when trying to figure out where to begin when finding a wedding dress I weighed out my options. I knew there was no way in hell I would attempt a David's or House of Brides, but I wasn't quite ready to make a trip down to Ultimate Bride for a Monique Lhuillier or Vera Wang gown. Yes it's important to go all out for a wedding, but I'm also a realist. - I'm only wearing that dress for 8 hours. So, naturally I scoured Yelp which led me to Here Comes the Bride. I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience. Not only did I purchase the 4th gown I tried on, but the service was unbelievable. It was laid back and intimate. I never once felt uncomfortable or pressured to buy a dress. My consultant was happy to provide her opinion - but in the most tactful way. She pulled dresses that fit what I was looking for, and encouraged me to try on dresses that I normally wouldn't have selected for myself. I also loved that they had dresses in every size. With the way bridal gowns are cut, not everyone fits in their sample size 6. I was able to try on dresses that actually fit me so I could get a really good idea about how they would look on my wedding day. If you're looking for the champagne popping, over-the-top experience at a salon with 5,000 dresses, where your consultant is gong to woo you into a $7,000 gown, Here Comes the Bride isn't for you. What you will get is one-on-one attention with a professional, helpful consultant who will help find the right dress for you - not the one with the highest price tag. I would highly recommend Here Comes the Bride over and over again. This little mom-and-pop bridal shop knows just the right way to treat their brides. I was really excited to go to Here Comes the Bride based on the reviews. Yelp is my end all, be all so I take reviews very seriously. When we first arrived in the store, I was completely overwhelmed. There were almost TOO many dresses - as we began looking, it was hard to even pull a dress out to see what it looked like because they were all smashed together. My consultant, Samantha, seemed really nice at first. She pulled out some dresses that she thought would be great for me based on my vision. Once we got to the dressing room, she had me try on the dresses myself, which I thought was a little odd. I had been to two previous stores that put the dresses on for me. My problem was that I liked all the dresses for different reasons. I could sense Samantha getting annoyed with me and the family members I brought (5 people) as they weren't providing a lot of feedback. The appointment felt very rushed and I just got the feeling that Samantha couldn't wait until I was out of the store. At the end of the appointment, I asked her if she could provide the dress numbers of the ones that I liked. She said no and that they would be on my file as they can't provide the dress numbers. Not sure why as the other stores I had been to were happy to do so. She then abruptly said to me that I was "shopping too early" (my wedding is September 2017) and that I brought "too many people" with me. Little did she know that the only reason I was shopping so early was so my fiancé's sister who lives out of state could attend. Overall the service at this establishment was less than sub-par and I thank to God I never have to step foot in there again. read more

There have been quite a few times that Yelp has shown me some really awesome places and this is one of those times. I was looking for places to do some wedding dress shopping. Somewhere affordable. David's Bridal is a must, just because they have dresses in all kinds of price ranges. However, I wanted to check out somewhere in addition to DBs. There are a lot of bridal shops around me, but they seemed kinda pricey. Then a Yelp search led me to Here Comes the Bride. Honestly, I don't know how anyone finds out about this place without Yelp. I don't think they do any advertising, so it really is by word of mouth. Also, their location is in a strip mall in Addison. If I was driving by, I wouldn't give it a second thought. However, I had a great experience. Making an appointment was easy. Their hours aren't very consistent throughout the week, so check the hours before you go. Finally the day came. I met with Rose and told her what I was looking for: something with lace, not poofy, not mermaid, not blingy, preferably with straps, and under $800 if possible. Not much to work with there. My family and friend were sitting in the waiting area in the middle of the store while I went off with Rose to look at some dresses. She showed me some stuff to get an idea of what I might like and since I have no clue when it comes to this sort of thing, she pulled dresses she thought I might like. After trying on about two dresses, she got the idea and we started finding things more up my alley. We also came to the conclusion that straps were probably not the way to go. She also let me try on a dress that was not even close to what I said I wanted, but it was a style I always wanted to try. I tried it, didn't like it, and we moved on, but I liked that she let me get away from what we were looking for for a second so I can have some fun. The final dress I tried on I loved. Well, as much as I can love a dress I'm dropping money on. It was kinda different from what I was looking for, but still had the elements I wanted. The best part was that it was $400! Way under budget! It did need a little work underneath the first layer because there is a line you can see, but that can definitely be fixed in alterations, and even with alterations, I'm still under budget. Also, the dress fit me perfectly so no stressing about losing weight. Of course, we left there without the dress because we had another appointment at David's. However, I came back two days later to buy the dress. And I came in without an appointment, hoping I could try it on again. They had another girl there, but Rose had no problem letting me try the dress on and talked it over with me, saying that it really was a great fit for me. Sold. I had a great experience overall. My guests weren't totally thrilled with the appointment because they were expecting a "Say Yes to the Dress" experience with bubbly consultants and tears all around. I'm glad it wasn't like that. Rose isn't over the top and fake, and I'm glad for it because I find that annoying. Instead, she was incredibly helpful and her personality matched mine, so I think that's why we worked well together. She also did a great job finding what I was looking for, which is near impossible because I know nothing about dresses and I hate trying on dresses. So glad they were conscious of my price point too. I *might* have found THE dress with the help of Era! I have a follow up appointment scheduled to confirm that I love it as much as I remember! Overall, I had a good experience at HCTB. My only real complaint is that the appointments are only an hour. Fortunately, Era was very prepared and efficient so I actually got to try on several dresses (maybe 8-10), but there simply wasn't time to study each dress and hear the thoughts of my family in great detail. Otherwise, everything was great! I had filled out the bridal appointment/survey questionnaire and then sent a separate email with more specific information about me, my shopping group, my budget, and styles of interest (with pictures). Because of this, Era had a full fitting room of picks before I even arrived, which allowed us to start immediately. I had a group of 4 people and there were comfortable couches and refreshments (yay mimosas!) for them. Era provided the WiFi information to allow my mom to FaceTime into the appointment since she couldn't make it. She was also cooperative with my sister-in-law taking pictures. Era worked to learn what I liked and would then go beyond by telling me what customizations could be made, showing me how the dresses looked in different lighting, etc. The favorite turned out to be a dress that wasn't even on my list and was well below budget! I love knowing that she didn't try to pad her commission by only showing me dresses at the top of my budget. I'm a cautious decision-maker so I'm not surprised I wasn't able to make such a big decision in just 1 hour (how can anyone?!) but look forward to my second appointment with Era to try the dress again at a slower and more thoughtful pace. read more

The only reason I'm not giving HCTB 5 stars is because they originally ordered me a size 12 dress instead of a size 2, and I had to wait 3 more months until my correct dress came in. However, I had ordered my dress 11 months before the wedding, so this was not a problem. I absolutely LOVED my dress and Diane, who is a true asset to their team here. She helped me find the perfect dress for me, and was patient when I came in not having a clue what style I wanted. Honestly, I was dreading this part of the wedding process, but Diane made it super easy! When I came in for fittings later on, we were dealing with someone else and the seamstress. Everyone was very friendly! Other than the minor size mix-up previously stated, I have nothing bad to say! Convenient to expressways, great price for the quality of gown you get! I am so excited that Yelp helped me find Here Comes the Bride! I have been to 2 David's Bridal and to House of Bride in Schaumburg and although I found a great dress at House of Brides, its was double my budget and the horrible reviews on Yelp made me freighten to buy a dress from there. So desperate I combed Yelp and came across HCTB. I had a particular style in mind and found s dress online from their list of designers. Since it is a sample store I was worried they would not have my size, a 0. So i emailed HCTB and Rose, the owner responded to my email within hours. She assured me they had this dress in their shop for me to try one and could order me a smaller size. I set up an appointment. But had to reschedule a day later so my sister and mom could attend w/me. Rose was accommodating and made it a non-issue. She even offered me a discount if I came in and tried on my dress and bought it the same day. Since my wedding date got pushed back a year, I was not planning on purchasing so soon. We arrived at the unassuming store front. Though it is small, I didnt mind. My consultant Diane was great. I showed her the dress style I want and she pulled it for me along w/guiding me through their rack to see which dresses I would like to try on. I immediately fell in love with the dress I came in for and it was $300 under my budget! Diane brought me out to the front and Rose stopped by to say hi to me. I decided to purchase the dress because of the great customer service and PRICE! Caught up in the excitement, I forgot to remind Diane about the discount Rose offered me. This shop happens to be about a mile away from our future wedding venue so I thought, why not? So happy I did!! I walked in not having much of a clue what style/type dress I wanted. My main requirement was that it must be flattering for my body type (curvaceous size 16) and fit my budget (reasonably priced dresses!). In walks Diane....... Walking into the shop, I never expected to buy THE dress on my first shopping trip! I was super nervous about the whole dress shopping experience but Diane's patience, knowledge and friendly demeanor put me SO at ease. She had me try on different styles (A-line, trumpet, ball gown, etc) to get an idea. I never felt rushed or pressured. And once THE dress was on....I knew it was the ONE as did she. This shop is really close to my house and I drive by it every day as I go to and from work. So after I got engaged, I decided to check this place out. My friend was visiting one weekend so I made an appointment to try on dresses so I could get an idea of what I liked/didn't like and what looked good, etc. Diane was helping me out for the day and she asked me a few questions before we got started about things I liked and price range and a little about my wedding. She then pointed me in the direction of the kind of dress I was looking for and I was free to look and pull any dresses I wanted to try on. It's hard to have an idea of what the dress will look like when it's on just from looking at it on the hanger, but thankfully Diane and the other women pulled several dresses for me to try on as well. It was really helpful to be able to try on many different dresses and although I wasn't really planning on finding "the dress", I did find one I loved. Diane was very helpful too with both listening to my feedback on things I didn't like about the dress and giving me helpful feedback about what was good and wasn't ideal for my body. This kind of sounds like she was critiquing but it wasn't like that at all! For example, I really liked open backs and v-backs and I tried on a few that we cut too low that I wasn't crazy about. When I tried one on that had a shallower v-back she remarked that it was a great cut for me because there was still enough dress on the sides and back to give me good support in the chest. That was actually really helpful to hear because then I knew what to look for in a v-back. I appreciated the good feedback. I still wanted to be able to shop with my mom so Diane recorded the dress number for me without any pressure to buy right away. I was able to do some dress shopping with my family back at home and still loved the dress at Here Comes the Bride. I ended up back at the store to try the dress on again and purchased the sample which saved me a little money. Here Comes the Bride also had a better price than I found at any of the stores back home. This shop is great and had a very good selection of dresses. I really didn't want to go the David's Bridal route but I also didn't want to spend a ton of money on a dress. This place definitely fit that bill. read more

All the other reviews are true - it's a dingy store in a dingy strip mall. HOWEVER - does it really matter? You're not coming here (or probably any other bridal salon) for the architecture. This place has a pretty good selection of dresses at great prices, especially if you are a sample size (or close to it) and are looking for a traditional gown. (They had a ton of Vera Wang marked way down when I was there.) I had two saleswomen helping me, and I really appreciated that - it can be hard to get in and out of a wedding dress I didn't end up buying a dress at Here Comes the Bride because I couldn't find anything that really wowed me, but I would recommend a visit if you're in the market for a wedding dress since you never know what you might find here. read more

This is where I bought my wedding dress and the experience could not have been more wonderful. I did not want to spend an entire paycheck (or more!) on a wedding dress, but I was also reluctant to go the David's route. Enter Here Comes the Bride! The shop is very no frills--this is not a champagne and macarons type of shopping experience, which was fine by me--I needed a dress, not a wining and dining. I described to my consultant what I wanted (lace, v-neck, a-line, definitely not strapless), and instead of trying to convince me that I should try strapless (as other stores did), she came back with a few dresses but called one out especially, saying, "As soon as you said what you wanted I thought of this one!" I tried it on and yep, done. Sold! I was also lucky enough that they offered to sell me the sample and that I did not need alterations, beyond a bustle (the latter piece of information offered by HCTB--no upselling in the alterations department!). I went to this shop because they carried a specific line of dresses I really wanted to try. I had included that information in my survey and requested to see specific dresses from the line, but when I got to the shop, it was clear to me that the stylist helping me hadn't read the notes from the survey. I requested a specific dress I wanted to try from the line and instead, she kept putting me in totally different dresses. I felt like I was very clear about what I wanted (no beads, no tulle, less skirt) and she kept saying, "oh, well when you get it altered, you cut out all the layers you don't want!" instead of just showing me dresses that met my needs. All of the dresses had cups sewn in, so every single dress sat lumpy on my chest. When I finally walked out and walked over to the rack of what I wanted to try, the salesgirl tried to tell me the dresses I wanted to try were "too small" for me - bullshit, they come up to size 32! I've tried on in a few other places and nobody else had an issue with putting me in a dress that was 2 sizes too small just to see it on. In the end, I only got to put on about three dresses from the line I wanted to see, and as I was leaving, was told to try on the line in another store but to come back to purchase there - doubtful. If you want a princessy dress, sure, this is the place to go, but if you want something even remotely different, think twice, because they just don't want to sell you that. read more

This place is nearly too good to be true - but it is!!! Rose (the owner) and Diane (my wedding dress goddess) were so wonderful to work with. I was referred to this place and consider it a gift to all bride to be's! Located in an unassuming strip mall, this store may not seem like the haven that it is but give it a chance. Please make an appointment so that they can give you the attention you will need, My wedding dress consultant, Diane grabbed a variety of styles for me to try on and was just the dearest person to work with. Personable, helpful, experienced and has great intuition and judgement. Rose, the owner is so helpful but careful to let you pick your dress. I not only found my dress here, it was within my narrow budget. They are willing to work with you to make changes to the dress, affordable and just fantastic to work with. While I did not end up buying my wedding dress from HCTB, I had great experiences the 2 times I came to try on dresses. I worked with Diane both times and she was great. She gave my mom and I the opportunity to pull our own dresses, but we decided to leave it up to her and she came up with some great choices all on her own, based on my budget and pictures I showed her. She was not pushy at all and offered her opinion without being overbearing. I didn't feel pressured to buy a dress that day, which was really nice. I didn't buy my dress from HCTB only because a dress I happened to find at a different store ended up being the winner. HCTB has friendly staff and a great selection of dresses and even though I most likely won't be back in the future, I would highly recommend this store to anyone searching for a wedding dress. read more
