We just went here for the first time. Our usual breakfast place, Toni's was short on help and the wait for food was at least an hour so she told us about this place. We were not disappointed. They have a lot of great staples but they blew me away with the specials. Fresh gumbo and chilaquiles were on the board so I decided to snag those since they were of note for the weekend. Focaccia French toast? Sign me up! This place is what we would call a hole in the wall serving up amazing food! It is very unassuming located right off the highway but we were blown away not only by the food but by the service. The staff was so friendly and kind and ensured we had everything we needed. We stopped here for lunch between wineries. The food was amazing! Even though it was right on 414, I felt like most people inside were locals. This is definitely a hidden gem. I ordered the Mexican pinto bean soup and a salad. My wife ordered the pork sandwich and a biscuit. We skipped the baked goods as we didn't want to be too full for drinking wine, but everything on display looked great. If you weren't staying in the area or if you hadn't heard about it before, it's fairly easy to miss when driving on the highway. But we're glad we stopped in! Best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. I am a savory, egg and meat person through and through- especially for breakfast. I also love and appreciate sauces like the chipotle aioli they had on the sandwich. My order was bacon sausage egg and cheese (cheddar) on focaccia with chipotle aioli. I ate it and instantly regretted not starting my food blog right then and there, or at least taking a picture of it. Insane. I would eat that everyday if I could.
