A DENTIST & TEAM THAT CARES!!…read more I usually HATE going to the dentist, I've walked away from many dental offices feeling like no matter what I do to take care of my teeth nothing is good enough, or I get referred to a super expensive specialist, and if not I have to pay super expensive bills for being uncomfortable and anxious for an hour or two. That being said I have NEVER had such an amazing experience and have never been so comfortable during the whole process! Even when I voiced that I was getting nervous my dentist stopped everything and talked me through the options and made me feel comfortable and confident in the plans moving forward. I felt like a person that was getting help from a professional and not the usual distant non personal experiences. I cannot say enough good things about Bass Lake Dental, everyone was kind and helpful and was there to help you feel confident and comfortable the whole time. I've found my forever dentist here and I hope you do to!

Exorbitant, Neglectful, Inadequate - Overall Worst place to go…read more The dental cleaning experience at this establishment was not only exorbitant but also neglectful and inadequate, making it an overall worst place to go. If you are reading this, take my word and never visit this place. They are fraudulent. Let me share the whole story for you to make an informed decision. I had a dental cleaning appointment. At reception, the lady was nice and did all the paperwork politely. When I went to see the nurse, I specifically told her that I only wanted to do what my insurance covers. However, she gave me an estimate that, sir, sorry, but you will end up paying $202 on top of your insurance. Despite my reservations, I agreed and said to go ahead and start the procedure. They completed the first half of the cleaning, and upon returning to the front desk for check-out, the receptionist handed me a bill of $175. I was slightly surprised, as the whole estimate was $202. I assumed they probably charged me less for the second half, so I requested to the receptionist that I'll pay the whole bill after my second visit. Then, a day before my second visit, they sent me a bill of $230, with overall charges of $1149. The amount paid by my insurance was $436.72, and I owed $230, according to the bill. I called them and asked why I got the bill of $230.48 when I was billed $175 during my check-out on the day of service. They told me that, sorry sir, but the lady who was billing you on the day didn't give you the full bill for some unknown reason, and this is your final bill for the first visit. I was shocked by how they convinced me by giving the estimate of $202 for the whole cleaning process and ended up charging $230.487 only for the first visit. They didn't have any explanation for this, and I had to cancel the second visit to avoid another $230 (or probably more, as they would have made some excuse regarding one of my cavities and ended up charging way more - who knows). Now, let me add the worst part - Their dental cleaning sucks - I asked the nurse to show me the pre and post-cleaning photos to verify the level of cleanliness, and she only took a photo of the front 2 teeth and showed it to me. After coming home when I checked, I hardly noticed any difference, and I was planning to discuss this during my second visit, but now I won't as I am canceling my second visit. Please save yourself from this cheating. I'll inform my co-workers at work not to visit this place, as unfortunately, this is one of the places covered under my insurance. If I have the option, I'll give feedback to my insurance company as well to remove this clinic from their list. Shameful.

Really the only criteria for my search for a new dentist were that they would be friendly, reasonably priced, and actually care about my teeth instead of just ushering me in and out as quickly as possible. My dad recommended Williams & Wimmer since he has been seeing them for years, and they fit the bill. When I first switched to W & W, my former dentist's office would not let me leave without a fight, but the receptionist at W & W was willing to smack down for me. She wrestled with them on the phone for like 45 minutes before getting them to release my records (this was AFTER I had signed the records over to Williams & Wimmer, mind you, but my former dentist's office would not cooperate). W & W was very helpful in that regard. There is a friendly, small-business feel to Williams & Wimmer (because it is a small business). It seems like they employ some really nice people, and there is less of a rushed, strictly-professional vibe there than at some of the other places I've tried. Their whole staff makes me feel pretty comfortable. And Drs Williams and Wimmer themselves are more thorough and will ask you if you're having any problems, then actually stay and talk to you about it if you are. I will admit I let them aggressively call me about coming in for months at a time before making an appointment, and that gets old, but for someone as irresponsible as myself it's probably a good thing. The only big problem is it's right next door to a Wendy's and I have to fight violent temptations for a frosty directly after getting a cleaning.

I had been searching for a dentist to get new dentures for awhile now. They, either, don't take my…read moreinsurance or were too expensive. One Prosthodontist quoted he wanted $6500, and that was half price! I emailed Dentures ASAP on Wednesday morning. Within a half hour, they called me and set me up with an appointment the very next day! I was expecting to, maybe, get an appointment a week or more later. Almost as soon as I hung up, another lady called me. Within minutes, I received an email for forms they need so they would know my medical needs and other information. Talk about being on the ball. They do expect you to call them to confirm your appointment, even if they don't call you. On the way there, we had to call to get directions. The receptionist went to great lengths to help us. I got there five minutes early. I didn't have to wait long. Let me say, I had the most pleasurable and non stressful experience of any dentist I've ever gone to. That is saying quite a lot from a 78 year old woman, who has been wearing a denture since I was in my middle 20's. Christine, their dental assistant, made me feel at ease right off. She was very kind. And she did something I've only had at one other dental professional, which was a surgeon's clinic. She checked my blood pressure! Then she gave me a small pillow, for my head, so I would be comfortable. Dr. Burge, who bought the center from Dr. Dumass, was wonderful to me. He greeted me by saying, "I'm Dr. Burge", and shook my hand. He has been a dentist for 15 years. He was very proficient. He explained everything that he was going to do. I asked if they use the purple putty as I had a terrible, adverse reaction to that before. In order to make sure it wouldn't make me ill, he put a bit on my tongue. Imagine my surprise to find it had hardly any taste at all. He admitted that the stuff they used before, was horrible. Then he did something no other dentist has ever done. He used my own dentures for the molding for my new teeth. On top of that, he used them for the wax and putty molding as well where he took measurements of my mouth. I never had any dentist do that, either. He used some small machine that clicked when using it. He told me my dentures will be there in two to three weeks. Then he stated, if I didn't like something about them, let him know. As he put it, "You won't hurt my feelings." When he was finished, Christine stated, "No charge." Even though I have UCare MSC+ and Humana Medicare, you could have knocked me over with a feather. I asked, "Nothing?" Dr. Burge, joyfully quipped, "I don't want your money. Have a great blessed rest of your day. Christine then gave me three small tubes of adhesive and a new denture bath. I walked out of there with thankfulness in my heart and a huge smile on my face. I, strongly, recommend, if you need new dentures, to go to Dentures ASAP. Not only do they take Medicaid and Medicare but they help you sign up for payments through a dental company, Cherry that doesn't charge interest or fees. They also take CareCredit. I don't believe you will get a better experience anywhere else.
