Such a rip off! Went to their food truck during a music festival, the pictures of quesadillas were inviting. The menus showed no prices. Imagine our shock when a simple quesadilla was almost $30 with tax!! First I had to go ask for napkins and ketchup for the fries and got a dirty look. And then we realized it didn't have any of the condiments listed -'sour cream, guacamole or salsa. We went to ask for them we were told "NO". We said they were listed on the menu and he said the menu was wrong. After getting really loud so other customers could hear, he begrudgingly gave us tiny 1oz portions of each. And this was one of two food trucks in the VIP area. Eating at all the other vendors was half the price and way tastier!

Carne asada fries, must get!

Yum! Crispy fries, yummy green salsa! Order the carne asada fries. Perfect blend when your drinking :D. Don't be discouraged by the reviews, I had my friend order them.....he proved me wrong. Don't base your decisions on Yelp reviews.

Today I had the Nashville Fried Chicken Sandwich. It was pretty decent, and I still feel the heat, though in a good way. I guess this business had two (or more) trucks with different menus. One seems to be focused on bowls and the other on sandwiches/burgers. I'll report back once I learn more about them.

Heritage Bowl (grassfed flat iron steak, house blend creamy grains, organic baby greens, FM veggies, crispy onions, chimichurri sauce)

[Review #386] 2019 Yelp 100 Challenge (35/100) Heritage LA is an infrequent food truck on The Reserve's food truck rotation schedule. I wasn't too fond of my initial meal: HERITAGE BOWL (grassfed flat iron steak, house blend creamy grains, organic baby greens, farmer market veggies, crispy onions, chimichurri sauce). The steak was overcooked, dry, & barely warm; the greens weren't properly dried so the sauce was diluted; the creamy grains were mushy. :-( Working all morning & nearly the end of lunch, I ran out to the truck just before closing... though I love all things chimichurri, I wasn't in the mood for a past repeat. Instead, I ordered the FIESTA BOWL (grilled chicken, green salsa, pico de gallo, queso fresco, avocado, farro succotash, baby greens, vegetable blend, cherry tomatoes). Even though there was only 1 person ahead of me, it took about 10-mins. to get my order. Overall customer service was also better: service with a smile, more napkins (got only 1 last time & needed more to soak up the water from the greens), & the offer of hot sauce. The Fiesta Bowl was a thing of beauty! =) I asked for some sriracha & was on my way... I was actually looking forward to eating my lunch, & I was my usual hangry self. I tried the grilled chicken first, & it was tasty! However, there were a couple of "tougher" pieces that was hard to swallow. :-| I liked the harmony & balance of the Fiesta Bowl wayyyyyy more than the Heritage Bowl... better flavor, crisp veggies, & I especially loved the avocado!! I think there was some chili/spice in there. I didn't have time to investigate as I was eating (inhaling) my bowl & working simultaneously. :-O Typical food truck price points -- on the expensive side -- but fair portion considering its prices. If Heritage LA continues to provide more consistent dishes, I am definitely down to being a regular patron. =) Happy Hump Day...

Disappointing experience today at this food truck, during the LA Beer Festival. I had such high hopes for this place as I circled the food truck area for a healthy seafood option. No line, I ordered a $17 Salmon bowl added egg no rice or sauce I repeated due to allergies. What I got, rice and sauce w a greasy egg on top. When I asked the girl cashier to please fix the order, she gave me attitude, took my bowl, half attempted to take the rice off, left rice residue all over my bowl and didn't give me more greens to compensate for taking away part of my order. Plus, this still didn't solve there being sauce covered in everything. There was no lie or wait and I respectfully repeated my order. Yet, it's clear they just wanted my money, not my customer satisfaction. A pro: the cooks were very nice.

This truck was located at the Burton Chace Park for the special New Years Eve event. The line was long but was a little shorter than the other trucks there. The menu looked promising till we heard they were out of all the sandwiches. Another downside was they would stop the line every so often so that the get the orders done we waited about a hour and some minutes total from waiting to ordering to getting the food. I got the chicken pesto fries which were ok they were not bad but was filling. Overall not bad of a truck I really wanted to try the shrimp sandwich maybe next time if I happen to run into them again somewhere.

On my 2nd visit I had their salmon bowl with dark greens, avocado, beans etc. It was fantastic, super healthy and even better than my first visit which was great. Service by Joe was on point, fast and courteous. There is alot of food and for under $12 the value can't be beat for the high quality. Heritage is one of my favorite food trucks in LA. They were parked across from LACMA Museum(mid wilshire) and are there frequently.

Best burger and fries for the money. Hanging out at Oceanview park in Santa Monica while social distancing and so glad to have such amazing food right here. Their chicken strips and fried chicken sandwich were the bomb as well!

I was expecting way much more quality tasting food. Flavors seemed to be an afterthought and the customer service was rude. The worst thing was after ordering A California Bowl and asking for the chicken to be cooked well done, I was Served undercooked food as well with the Heritage Bowl and Chimichurri Fries. I had to throw out the food. The worst part was the cashier was rude, when I asked why there weren't prices listed on the menu. I ended up paying well over $40 that went down the drain. I wouldn't of been so upset if my food was at least decent but what can I expect for experimenting on a food truck.

"Chimichurri fries" - where's the chimichurri sauce???!!!! $7 think was supposed to be parmesan, but i got queso fresco. 2/5 for effort

As a Korean, I can tell you this is the real deal--it's so freaking delicious and exactly the type of food I grew up with. A few things to know before you order: No Storefront: This is a catering-only business, so there is no physical restaurant to visit. You just call them to place your order. We ordered the Kalbi Jjim, various veggies, pancakes, and kimchi, and every single dish was a hit. Massive Portions: They are incredibly generous! We ordered for 10 people, but they gave us enough food to feed 40. You definitely get your money's worth. Easy Pickup: The process is super smooth. This review is long overdue! We had Hungry Bear cater our wedding this year and they absolutely…read morecrushed it!! We had so many guests come up to us during and after the wedding (even months later) saying the food was the best they've ever had at a wedding. Everything from the passed apps to the mains, desserts, and late night food was amazing. Food is a huge priority for us, and we wanted to make damn sure that our wedding food delivered, especially since so many of our friends and family know us as major foodies. We loved Hungry Bear's asian-fusion menu and even the salad was unreal (and I'm not a salad girl...get the Little Gem Salad y'all - it's both beautiful and delicious). We had opted for family style and had hangar steak and miso black cod for the mains (but seriously, you cannot go wrong with any of their choices) and a late night pho station. I'm salivating just reminiscing about the food. The drinks were just as good (feel free to reach out to the team with your favorite flavors/ spirit to brainstorm drink ideas or even give them a specific recipe). I opted for a yuzu gin cocktail as my signature drink, which was delightfully refreshing and very well made. On top of that, the service was next-level. The waiters and bartenders were all very kind, funny, and professional. The team made sure my husband and I were constantly taken care of--full water glasses, plates of food, cocktails, everything. One of my best friend has celiac disease, and a staff member came up and told her she was personally "in charge of her" for the night. She was blown away. I was blown away -- especially since we had our wedding at a "bring your everything" venue where everything was brought in to build a "kitchen" - Hungry Bear made sure that food safety/ cross-contamination was a non-issue. Amazing food, amazing drinks, and genuinely kind, fun, and professional servers and bartenders. Jennie, TJ, and the Hungry Bear team truly go above and beyond. We're already asking ourselves when we can have Hungry Bear cater our next event. Look no further and book your tasting today (trust me, and good luck narrowing down the tasting selections)! Highly, highly recommend.

Why we chose them: Before choosing them, we actually met with several other caterers and even did tastings to compare our options.
