These guys sent a misquote of 1300 cheaper until the drivers showed up it was more expensive. August 6. They immediately wanted their second deposit and couldn't even give an estimated date on when our stuff was arriving. . Seven days almost 8 days later we still haven't go an ETA of arrival and have already spent almost 3000 and we still don't have our belongings or an ETA. So do not hire these guys. Update. I should have given a NEGATIVE Score and this company is the least professional company we have ever moved with. They damaged our home we were selling, our rental and cost us thousands in repairs in which they will not cover. They damaged so many of our items. The crew which was available showed up for pickup and delivery were in a rush and did not take care of our things and didn't pack well. The crew was not in dress neither they were wearing the company's card. The trucks which just had a slap-up magnet sticker on the door. When our boxes arrived at the final destination they were smashed, torn with wholes and super dirty. Our stationary exercise bike was broken, 2 legs to a table missing and not found, desk is all torn up, shelving on a bookcase is broken and pictures plus so many other things were broken. Pathetic experience overall. Can't recommend any one in future. read more

I spoke with Lisa with heritage moving company and was provided an estimate according to what items we would be moving. Our estimate was for $3,500 with a $1150 deposit. Heritage moving company moved us on 8/9/2021. Before the truck left our drive way we were demanded to pay an additional $2232. Our things were taken to a storage unit where they would remain till our new house build was completed. We were delayed 1 month on our build and required an additional month of storage which raised the cost by $350. The day the movers brought our things to our new house they would not unload the truck with out another $1806 payment. After we paid the movers informed us they did not have a key to the lock to the truck. The movers were already late. The movers were advised by Mike to drive the truck full of our belongings to Home Depot to buy a bolt cutter. We had one and had to cut the lock ourselves. By the time the movers started unloading the truck it was 4:30pm. As I watched my stuff come off the truck I was HORRIFIED. My white 3 piece sectional couch was covered in black stains. As I unpacked my drinking glasses were completely shattered. My daughters $700 nursery rug was missing. Along with multiple items broken and damaged. I contacted Mike immediately who had been in charge of our move and was told to file a claim. I had to ask Mike 5+ times for a copy of our contract and inventory list and have still not been given a copy of the contract. We filed the claim as recommended. Our claim settlement came back tonight offering $96.00. My damaged couch was purchased last November's costing $5,600 alone. My daughters rug that was missing completely was $700 and less than a year old. Never mind the glasses, platters, cast iron skillet, Dutch oven, vases, decor, and lamps that were broken. We paid over $5000 for heritage moving company to DESTROY AND LOSE multiple items. Do not use this company!! read more

I've moved many times over the years and can unequivocally say Nancy and her team are the best I've ever used. They are professional and friendly and best of all, took really good care of all our things. We used the packing service, which was great. We also had a piano and a gun safe and a grandfather clock. We used Heritage for our most recent move from a rental to storage to new home. They provided storage for 6 weeks while we were between homes. The guys arrived on time and were very attentive to our items and the homes. I chose Heritage for a number of reasons and I'm so glad I did. While in storage, a couple of our dining chairs were marred and damaged. Nancy immediately had an upholstery company contact me about cleaning the damaged fabric. Unfortunately, they weren't able to match the fabric. Rather than repairing only the one damaged chair, they had all 8 of my dining chairs reupholstered to match. Additionally, the damage to the wooden back was repaired so well we can't tell which one was the damaged one. I know from experience that most companies would have only offered 50 cents per pound to settle (and only for the two damaged chairs) or only covered the two damaged chairs. Nancy did the right thing and kept in constant contact until the chairs were home and repaired to my satisfaction. read more

I can not even give this 1 star. The absolute worst company! I was given a quote and told to pay in 3 installments... deposit/pack/drop off. They quoted me a price based on a six hour pack (3 guys came to pack a small condo which we did most the packing already). They showed up at night 5:00pm and didn't finish until 11:30pm! When I called (2 weeks advance) for drop off date I was told it could be any day 5 days from the day I needed to move in. Three days later from my move in day they called and that morning told me we owed additional $1200 because the are charging for 6 hours overtime on delivery! Worst experience ever total scam ! never were we told that that our pack and move was based on 6 hrs for both sides of move. Ridiculous since they are implying that the 3 guys they sent were going to wrap and box a 3 bedroom condo and pack it on the truck in 3 hrs! Even when they arrived the movers themselves said to me that they had 6 hrs and not to worry! Company was extremely rude and told me they are not responsible for my misinterpretation! read more

Larry and his employees at Heritage have now helped us move 4 times and every time has gone smoothly and efficiently! They were so awesome as a team maneuvering with our stuff on the first move that on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th time we hired them, I didn't even stress at all. Great family-owned business! I have only great things to say about Heritage Moving Company. This company is a terrific company to work with and we were thrilled that we chose to hire them. At the start Larry came to do our estimate. He is very professional and it was clear to me that we would be working with a company that we could feel confident that our belongings would be safe and unharmed, further, we were very swayed by the fact that they are the only company we know of that offers full replacement value dollar for dollar insurance if an item is damaged or broken. This was our 8th move in 12 years so we have a lot of experience. Nancy was a dream to work with for the remainder of our scheduling process as we were trying to close on our house sale and to purchase a new home. Our dates kept changing due to our buyers buyer falling through. Our dates must have changed four or five times. Nancy was very flexible and pleasant about changing our dates and trying to do everything she could to work with us so that we could move when needed which is exactly what finally happened. It even ended up that the wonderful packers had to come and do almost a full day of packing on Christmas Eve. They did so happily. As to the packers, Liza and the other girls were fabulous. They were very thorough, careful and kept good track by labeling boxes well with contents also. They were terrific to work with; great attitudes, very helpful and flexible. They were wonderful with my unpack as well. As to the movers, Jeremy and the other men did a terrific job in loading the truck and unloading at the new house. They all had great attitudes and worked very hard. They were very careful with the items and were very organized in how they did their work. We were impressed at how quickly they were able to accomplish the entire day. We had three trucks full of items and they did all of this, loading and unloading in roughly 9 hours. That included setting up beds, TVs, computers, etc, and the disconnects on the front end of those things(sleep number beds). This company deserves great praise. We will recommend them to anyone and should we move again, would absolutely hire them without hesitation. read more

These guys are terrific. We had a complicated move from two locations to four different locations and were concerned that we would find someone organized to do the job for us. Larry and his team did an outstanding job. We moved out of a big Alamo Height apartment with the first load going to Houston, second load to Seguin. Next day they picked up a bunch of stuff from my office in Schertz (including a 900# granite conference table on the second floor). We added stuff from the apartment and Heritage delivered everything to two different homes on South Padre Island. They then picked up a last load on South Padre Island and took it back to Seguin. ALL pieces delivered correctly with one minor broken couch leg (which was promptly fixed and re-delivered in two days). Excellent job of packing for the move. Careful, deliberate, and showed care all the way. The estimate was very fair. After the move was over, we even received a refund check on a minor over-estimate of charges. Great moving experience moving locally in San Antonio from a rental house into a new home. I highly recommend Larry and Nancy(the owners) and their staff. This is a small family run business with a most personal touch. Extremely good and fair pricing. Larry came soon after my initial inquiry to do an in home estimate and had a written estimate by the end of the day with a confirmation of my scheduled move date. They guarantee that the move will not be higher than the estimate and there are absolutely no hidden costs. Their trucks and equipment are clean and well maintained and their staff were all very personable and respectful. The move went efficiently and they finished up in less time than estimated so I owed less than the estimate. On the Monday following the move I got a follow up call from Larry to make sure I was satisfied and asking about any feedback. He also informed me that he was sending me a check for money back, as there had been a slight miscalculation on the hours, this despite the fact that the move had come in under the original estimate.
