Ohemgee this place is ADORABLE!!! It's giving Disney vibes. We loved it!! You walk in and get greeted with a sweet live water fountain under a vaulted ceiling with nahuatl (maybe?) frescos. So beautiful. The seating is quaint. There is a full separate bar area and it was hopping!! Listen the service was AMAZING!! I was so impressed. The atmosphere is cozy and the restaurant is well organized. We ordered the chef special dish that had an interesting presentation. However, it wasn't very special. We found out that the dish came with lots of cheese which we aren't a fan of. Another star got taken because of the service. We got quite abandoned the entire time...May not be back here for quite some time as we found a better restaurant in Plano with better quality but less expensive. read more

We come here at least once a week. It's our favorite little joint close to home. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, the food is always fresh and drinks are always cold. Definitely try some of the house made tortillas. I could eat nothing but tortillas and be happy If you order the chimichanga, bring an appetite or a friend to help eat it! Went here with a couple family members for a change. We typically go to Papasittos. Aside from the chips, queso, guacamole, and Mexican rice, I wasn't impressed with the chimichanga I ordered. I was expecting flavorful fajita-style chicken, but it turned out to be pretty bland and underseasoned. The filling lacked the depth and seasoning I usually associate with a good chimichanga. This is usually a highlight for me at Mexican restaurants, so it was disappointing that this one didn't meet my appetite and fell below the standard I'm used to. read more

It's Cinco de Mayo today and that means Mexican food (okay, it's technically Tex Mex) so we headed to Hermano's for lunch. We were seated quickly and drinks, chips and salsa promptly appeared. Salsa is not spicy and had a slight smokiness. I ordered my usual chicken sour cream enchiladas and my wife ordered the taco plate. I also requested some extra jalapeños for my enchiladas. FRESH TORTILLAS! Mexi-Go, now named Hermano's, is one of the only tex mex restaurants in the area that serves fresh flour tortillas. They are a must with any visit. The food is good, not great, and it really is the tortillas that keeps me coming back. It's a 3 star restaurant with a bonus star for those. I do appreciate the recent renovations and redecorating they've done...it's cute inside. I prefer this place over Salsa Tex Mex but I'd say the food is very similar in flavor and quality. The chips and salsa are okay, a 3/5 in my book. Similar rating for the guac, pico, and queso. I greatly prefer their white queso over their yellow. Decent service, good food and excellent margaritas in a clean restaurant is what you'll get here. The large Margarita my husband ordered was $16 but he said it was fantastic and he only needed one. It's got a nice layout with tables and booths in a well lit dining room. We tried Hermano's for the first, and last, time today. The service was poor throughout our visit with excessive waits for a server while the table next to us received a great deal of attention. The trio appetizer offered barely lukewarm queso's and a "guacamole " that was just some cut up pieces of avocado with two pieces of tomato on the side. No seasoning at all. Carne Asada was average, the potatoes were good, the charro beans not good. When the ticket was left, one of the meals was overcharged by $3. Eventually had to take it over to where all the employees were sitting around to eventually get it corrected. A very disappointing meal and we felt as though we just threw away good money. The sauce is good and the chicken is OK but I've had a lot better. Flavor was meh. Kind of an also ran product. Would have helped with jalapeños on top. This also would've punched up the presentation quite a bit. Many places dust a little bit of paprika on top for color. Probably will order some thing different next time. The rice and beans were OK but Nothing special. The chicken breast was over cooked and a bit tough. It was flavorful, but seriously overcooked. The star of the meal was definitely the flan. This was our first time to order door dash from Hermano's. The kitchen turned our order quickly and all the the queso arrived to our home still nice and warm. The chips were crispy with a slightly salty top. Salsa tasted fresh and queso blanco was delicious. I had the tortilla soup and loved it. My husband ordered the Carne Asada which came with avocado salad, Mexican potatoes and bean soup. Overall was good but he wished the steak had more flavor. The ambience is laid back, and the staff is friendly.however,some one dropped the ball yesterday. I dipped my chip in the salsa and ended up with a whole piece of wire in my mouth. I was given a courtesy beverage.but I think I should have at least got a free meal. Mexi-Go, now Hermanos has made a lot of improvements and it shows. The food was very good, but a bit cheaper. The interior is brighter, and it has a nice ambiance. The service was top notch. The manager came by, and was genuinely concerned that we had a good experience. To be honest, we hadn't been back I awhile because of prices and some service issues.
