I had a customer down the street and one day took a chance and stopped in to the tiny few table cafe. Wow, home cooked " latin" that made your tasted buds sing and was a friend to the wallet. Ok, a couple of things. This restuarant is HIDDEN behind department stores and apartments so not visible from Stacey Ln. Good luck finding it however if you do, take an UBER because the parking sucks. Now, if you make it in the door, you will see an immaculate restaurant. Smiling happy people and a staff willing to do anything to make your stop worth your while. Food is good, not amazing but for Tex Mex, I really liked it. I got the Chimichanga and my girl got the quesadillas. All were a sold 8 out of 10. However the smiling waitress and quick to the draw service make it one of my favorites. Had lunch here today and had a great experience! The service was excellent and attentive. The food was good. The complimentary chips for the table came with 4 different sauces - two salsas, one bean dip and one guac. I ordered the lunch brisket tacos- brisket was a little dry. Nice spot, conveniently located across from our hotel while staying for a business trip. The complimentary chips and salsa was delicious! I could have easily just filled up on this. The verde salsa had a refreshing tartness . It was not spicy but flavorful. The red was my favorite...it had a sweet note to it that went well with the saltiness of the chips. The black bean dip was delish...nice and smooth. We tried the A La Gloria ...a beautiful enchilada trio with a red, green, and sour cream topping/sauce. The shredded chicken was moist and the tortillas were nice and soft. I also tried the skinny margarita...a nice lil cheat without feeling guilty. The manager even came out to great the guests which I thought was a classy touch. Love the ambiance - mellow and modern. One star is not because of food. After 20 yrs of going to this restaurant it's apparent and clear that there has been a surge in Muslim clients. IN ORDER FOR THIS RESTAURANT TO ACCOMMODATE THEIR RELIGIOUS BELIEFS THE REMOVED OF ALL PORK ITEMS FROM THEIR MENU! Mgmt. will tell you it is because they were not selling, which is what they are told to say. Nit true those items have been in the menu for many years and not they conveniently disappear. I will not return back to this restaurant until they go back to the core of what made them what they are today and that is return items back and not get bullied or even remove them simply because if one (minority of their clients) has pressured you to remove because of their religious beliefs. BOYCOTT until they put pork back in the menu a good start will be a carnitas plate and show your true clientele it was not removed because if one groups religious beliefs. read more

Very mixed experience, with very good conscientious table service but very mediocre food. Gloria's is a chain of Latin Cuisine restaurants found throughout Texas, focusing on Salvadorian and Tex-Mex cuisine. Founded in 1986, it has since expanded to 23 restaurants. I've been to this location of Gloria's a couple of times before (once for a work function and another just by myself), with great experiences, especially remembering their complementary bean dip, value prices, and good service. So when visitors wanted to try Tex-Mex during their Texas stay, I suggested the nearby Gloria's. I made the mistake of not making a reservation for our group of seven, and once we got there, there was a line out the door. Strangely, it didn't appear that busy inside (thinking they do a good job of keeping the inside bustle away from the bar/front of house area). We were quoted a 20 minute wait for our large group if willing to sit outside, and sure enough in 20 minutes we were seated. We were given complementary chips with bean dip and two salsas. They were addicting. Our server, Valeria, was super attentive throughout, making sure our water glasses were constantly full, chips refilled, and providing any non-food items that we needed. She suggested guacamole ($7 for small) and con queso ($7) as apps. These came out quickly, and I found them to be quite good. We then placed our order. The food took a LONG time to come out, and thus because we filled up on chips and the good salsa while we waited, really affected our appetite. The food had been plated at different times, but only brought out together once the last dish was ready...which caused the dreaded waxy film over food...expected in buffet platters...not individually plated dishes. And even then, it just wasn't prepared well: with the enchilada sauce not being flavorful, the chicken in the dishes being very dry or overcooked, the fajita vegetables being prepared too thickly and not cooked through. My mom did enjoy her Mariscada ($24 for seafood soup) and I enjoyed my Ceviche Trio appetizer ($16)...I was the only one in my party who loves raw seafood. But in terms of the plated dishes: Chile Relleno ($16), skirt steak fajitas ($22), Enchiladas a la Gloria ($18), and chicken & steak fajitas for two ($29), nobody really said anything about the food while sampling, which is a bad sign. I did touch base with one of them after, and he gave me his feedback about the dryness and lack of taste (though he did mention that he really liked the refried beans). Most of the food was left over, and to go boxes were provided. In summary, the kitchen just wasn't very good this time around in both how they prepared the dishes and how it was sent out to us. It was definitely an off night for them, and unfortunate for us (though lucky for me since the price would have been twice as much if in California). read more

Gloria's is a great spot to have a couple of drinks and good food. I loved this location, it felt more upscale than others I've visited. Service was great and food came out quickly! I really like their pupusas but we opted for a different appetizer- the queso fundido. It was made into tacos for us table-side so that was a nice touch! I highly recommend the lechon asado here. I tried the salmon on my most recent visit and was pleased, my boyfriend opted for the steak (per usual) and it was really good, too. read more

As a vegetarian, finding good Latin food is actually surprisingly difficult. And unfortunately, my experience at Gloria's was no exception. The service and ambiance were excellent. My server Leonardo was very knowledgeable about the foods and helped me figure out what I could and couldn't eat. However, most of their foods fell into that second category. The rice and beans use chicken stock so that left me with entrees with no side dishes or a vegetarian black bean soup. I chose the soup and to fill up on the chips and salsa. The food was delicious. The chips and salsa were great and the black bean soup was very savory and not too salty. They don't have draft beer but they brought out the bottle with a chilled glass which was a nice touch. I could take off a star for the lack of vegetarian options but the cost was fairly reasonable for a restaurant of this caliber and the service really was great. Vegetarians may not be fully satisfied but for everyone else this place is well worth trying. read more

Walked in Thursday early evening for "Tequilla Thursday"! Can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Food is "off the charts", only outdone by the service (Mariana is outstanding; she is our favorite server by far). Cocktails are top notch as well. We've been to 4 different Gloria's and this one is managed by great people. Ambiance is refreshing as well. Great location for family gatherings and celebrations. Outdoor patio is huge and comfortable. Bring your kids, family and friends. read more

My husband chose Gloria's for his birthday and we were so happy to have been sat in a quiet section of the restaurant away from everyone else. Our waitress was very fast, stayed on top of all the drink refills and paid attention to everything we asked directly and indirectly. Gloria's is of my top three favorite restaurants, hands down, and is quickly becoming my husband and kids' favorite too! BEST tortilla chips, salsa and bean dip EVER! Most places have great chips, but the salsa fails, or visa versa, NOT Gloria's - it's all good! Even the guacamole is excellent! I could make a meal of just the chips, salsa and bean dip - sometimes I do Okay down to the nitty gritty- -doesn't take reservations but you can call ahead or go to the website to join the waitlist -offers indoor seating, patio seating and in the cooler weather they enclose the patio & add heaters for more seating -they bring salsa & bean dip for each person - YES you get your own! -the kids menu is great and the portions are excellent! -don't overlook the salads, they're huge, fresh and SO tasty! Gloria's is a Dallas staple- but this location is horrible. The salad is bagged lettuce now. The plate they give you for fajitas is like half a dollop of sour cream and four pieces of shredded cheese- it's just sad. You can tell the manager is cutting corners and is cheap here. This makes me so sad because I hope this doesn't happen to other locations. Gloria's was literally my favorite restaurant in Dallas but from the past 4 times dining here, I will never return to this location even tho it's only 4 minutes from me. read more

This restaurant has great food and great ambiance. We were dining with family after a funeral and everything was on par. The staff was attentive and helpful and the food was just delicious. The chips and dips were just mouth-wateringly good and we were almost ready to fill up on them. We had fajitas and they were worth saving room for. It was starting to get very cold this week so my wife and I decided that it's time for TOTTILLA SOUP at Gloria's. We went at 1:45 on Saturday and it was about 70% full. We sat down, about 5 minutes later they brought chips and salsa....about 5 minutes later the waiter came and took our drink order....about 5 minutes later he came back and took our food order. So far so good. The food took about 15 minutes to arrive and it was delicious. Their soup is EXCELLENT.....filled with chicken and veggies. My wife ordered the Pollo con Champiñones and it was out-of-site!!! We try to eat here at least once a month....the margarita's are always voted the BEST IN DFW and I believe it. Gloria's is good always good. Even this location has always impressed me with flavors. My gripe was with the take out order. I thought it was a joke to have one slice each of a green pepper and a red pepper for fajitas. A tiny sprinkle of cheese seems odd as well. We ordered another salsa order as a large for $12. We got another bag of chips and the same half filled cups they hand out. Seems underwhelming to get all the way home and see a sad order that is not consistent with what I am used to as a long time Gloria's fan. I hope they do better next time. read more

Ordered via the website and once submitted I was charged an additional $2.16 for a small side of pico for my chimichanga dinner automatically. I was not aware I'd be charged for that or be charged that much for a tablespoon worth of pico. The side of chip salsa was a joke. It was literally 2 tablespoons worth of salsa and only filled half the plastic ramekin. Talk about the restaurant being cheap and skimpy on sides. $31.39 for the chimichanga meal and the $10 margarita. WOW way over priced and will not revisit this place with prices like that and the skimpiness of sides. read more

Our food was delicious ! Nice place to celebrate our 21st Anniversary. We started off with pupusa's, and then had Carne Asada with chimichurri sauce, which was absolutely wonderful and cooked perfectly to medium.
