My husband and I had what felt like a great experience at Hermosa Motors when we purchased our 2015 Chevy Tahoe. Zack, who helped us, seemed honest, upfront, and genuinely helpful. We left feeling confident in our purchase. Unfortunately, less than 60 days later, the motor completely failed. When we took it to our trusted mechanic, we were told there appeared to be a temporary fix done to the engine--something that made it run just long enough to seem fine at the time of sale. I reached out via email in hopes of resolving this or at least having a conversation about it. As of today, I've received no response. Experience overall was good but definitely a few issues getting my truck that I bought from them fixed correctly. Won't go into details and will say that they did try to fix it but there was a lot of me dropping off and leaving my truck to get it fixed and it not getting fixed until the 4th time. It wasn't entirely their fault as the part was obsolete and they had to come up with a work around (me using a toggle switch inside my glove box to switch from hot to cold air) but it was a pain in the butt with all the back and forth. I would have given 4 Stars but the other issue was there was no negotiating on the price. Was told it is what it is. After researching, I found a truck of the same year, model, features, and similar mileage that was priced approximately $1,200 less. The only significant difference was that it had a V6 engine, which had a higher MSRP than the one Zach was offering. Upon sharing this information with Zach, he responded by saying, 'That's a good-looking truck; it's a V6, so you'll get better gas mileage. Best of luck with your purchase--hopefully, they don't have hidden fees like most dealers.' If negotiating was not an option, it would have been more professional for him to simply state that, rather than respond in a way that came across as dismissive. Initially called and talked to Chris. Made an appointment to see him and the car the next day. I got there early and Chris immediately referred me to Zack while i waited. Right out of the gate Zach was accommodating and very helpful. We actually test drove and basically locked in the deal before Chris arrived. My point by mentioning that is i knew what i wanted to pay and i was honest with them with what i wanted and was willing to pay. I purchased a BMW Hybrid from HM around 2020, so this review is a bit overdue. The initial sales person whose was name I don't recall was for the most part pretty honest. His business partner who was a younger gentleman was a bit questionable, especially after I hired a mechanic to inspect the car. When an issue was discovered he seemed insistent that the issue was minor and that he would not cover the cost for repairs, which to my fault I probably should have walked away at that point, but I really wanted this car and went ahead with the purchase. Needless to say my own mechanic discovered major transmission issues and I ended up selling the car with a loss. Learned a hard lesson but hope this helps others be aware. read more

I normally buy new cars from a dealership, soI had the normal reservation about buying a used vehicle. I found a truck on CARFAX and reached out after hours inquiring about the availability. Made an appointment to come take a test drive for few days later. Zach called and texted me back and was upfront with me which I appreciated. He was VERY busy that Saturday morning when I showed up. My wife was with me and she happened to speak to another couple that was there selling there car to Zach. They had some very kind words about Hermosa Motors and Zach. He let me take the truck I was coming out to see for a test drive, made a copy of my CDL, then handed me the keys and said... "take it out for a drive and take your time for as long as you want"... That gave me ample time to test drive it to my satisfaction and to check out all of the necessary important features. They may have gotten cars from somewhere else and they can only tell you what they can see. I had no issues with my car, but any questions I had after, Zach answered. He didn't ghost me. They don't deal with older cars, but out of sheer luck they had my dream Acura just as a trade in because it was in amazing shape. Review update: I have caught the manager, Zach, in a complete lie and scam. You can read my full review below but long story short, I found the buyer who bought the car out from under me and Zach orchestrated the whole thing and tried to lie to me about it. When I let Zach know I found out the truth, he didn't care that he lied and just pretty much said "oh well, there are other cars out there". I secured a car with Hermosa Motors, only to have the dealership sell the car out from under me. Buyer beware. I placed a deposit on a car at Hermosa Motors on 6/21/23 after confirming its availability with Zach, the general manager. He informed me the car would be ready to view on Friday, 6/23/23, at the earliest, and assured me that it wouldn't be sold to anyone else since I placed a deposit. Despite Zach being on vacation, he appeared eager to work on this deal, and said he would have his employees meet me on-site when the car was ready. I continually tried to reach someone via the dealership phone number, as I didn't want to have to keep calling Zach, but no one at the dealership ever answered or bothered to called me back. The dealership phone number has a voicemail message instructing callers to contact Zach directly, so that is what I did. After sending a $500 deposit to Zach's Venmo account as instructed, I made travel plans to see the car on 6/23/23. At the time I placed my deposit, I had Zach confirm the car was available, and I have the first right of refusal to buy it. After I booked an airline flight, my attempts to contact the dealership regarding my arrival time were unsuccessful. I texted Zach with my flight details, and his only response was to unexpectedly return my deposit via Venmo without any initial explanation. After I messaged him again, he informed me that someone else had bought the car after I put a deposit down on the car. I expressed my disappointment, emphasizing that the dealership handled the situation very poorly. I had high hopes for this car and followed the process outlined by the general manager, only to have the car sold to someone else. Despite Zach's apology, his response lacked accountability. His explanation for why this happened included "someone bought the car out from under us" and "sometimes these things happen". I informed him of my intention to share my experience with others, but he urged me not to harm the dealership's reputation. Reputations are earned, not given. I received confirmation from Zach stating the car was secured with my deposit and was being prepared. I feel let down, and it seems there was a significant miscommunication within the dealership. While I don't intend to harm others by sharing this review, I believe it's important to hold businesses accountable for their actions. Contacted them again to find out there was a typo in the loan application. Waited another day. Contacted them again. I called them to purchase a Bentley -- not a cheap car at all. As I was speaking to the person who answered the call, he cut me off a few times rudely giving comments. I gave him an offer of roughly ten percent off the asking price -- referring that other dealerships have listed car for cheaper. The car was listed $76,995, and my offer was at $68,000. Before I could even finish my speech, the guy laughed and hung up on me. Whenever, you call a dealership, you always deal a little. I would have paid a higher price had the guy not hung up on me. Extremely rude in dealing with the customer, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone looking to buy a car -- definitely not recommends to purchase an exotic or luxury. I got a LEMON from this business -- simple as that. Unfortunately my warranty wasn't for a year or more and therefore didn't meet the criteria for being able to return the car, which is a 2012 Ford Edge SEL. The employees were pleasant and the mechanic, Dider, tried to be very accomodating. I bought the car on 08.04.21, so my possession of the car has not even been a year! March 28, 2022 I took it in to the dealer and they had to do a $773.09 repair -- needed to replace bad spark plugs, 3 ignition coils and intake plenum gasket and in the process found out my catalytic converter is working at 30%. Two months later, a window regulator goes out for one of the doors. In the process of waiting for parts my water pump goes out, which along with the timing chain and other stuff that needs to be replaced, my expense is another $3374.27! And I still need to replace the catalytic converter. My costs so far: $4147.36. This business has done nothing but take my money. I'm currently exploring what I can do to be compensated for my losses. I don't recommend you buy a car from them unless you get a one year or more mechanical warranty. They are not good at returning calls when messages are left. read more

First of all I want to mention that Zack was very patient, very detailed in answering all my questions, and disclosed all issues related to my car during my purchase. I felt very comfortable with the transaction, and he even let me put down a deposit and held the car for me for 2 days until I had all of the money available. I did purchase the contract cancellation option agreement because it's a good idea for a large purchase. That gave me the option to return the car within 3 days if I changed my mind. Unfortunately my skills with driving a manual transmission car had gotten a bit rustier than I had expected and I was feeling very nervous driving the car. What I considered fun 30 years ago was now scary to me. I had to return the vehicle even though I loved the way it looked and drove. I felt absolutely awful backing out on our deal and wasting so much of Zack's time. I was dreading having to go back with the car and asking for a refund. I was prepared for some difficulty with the return or at least some excuse as to why it wouldn't be possible. To my surprise Zach was so kind and pleasant with my explanation and went ahead agreeably with the transaction. He didn't try to talk me into keeping the car or try to sell me another vehicle. He wasn't pushy or argumentative. He completed the return so quickly and easily i couldn't believe it. I want to thank everyone and Hermosa Motors for​​​​​ making what could have been a nightmare experience a raher pleasant one. I will definitely turn to Zach for help in purchasing my next car as he offered to give me advice and offered to look out for a car that suits what I am looking for. My BMW mechanic, Greg from ADR in Nashville, suggested I find a 335IS because it as close to an M3 that you can find. I live in Madison, WI. I did an all country search and found one at Hermosa Motors. I texted Zach and told him I would fly to CA with a cashiers check within 10 days if he would take money down and hold the car. He told me if I booked a flight and called he needed no money down. It was the easiest sales process I have experienced. The vehicle is perfect. Zach has great attention to detail and makes you comfortable by showing any mechanical updates he has done. He has service records on your purchase. The car had some minor peeling on the steering wheel and Zach threw in a wheel cover, steering column cover, and even ordered me carbon fiber front bumper splitters -- all no charge, I never asked him for any of it. Offered him some cash from my wallet. He wouldn't take it. I had a plane ticket home, for my wife and I, so I paid him on a Friday, and flew home on a Sunday. Zach arranged for a Broker to ship my car to TN to my mechanic. He texted me a video on Tuesday as my new car loaded and was off to my mechanic. We plan on taking a vacation to LA again in the future. I would not hesitate to buy cars for my wife and two kids (19, 18) and pay for shipping. Zach is that sincere and reputable. Sent the invoice directly to the credit union, I asked to see the deal before sending multiple times, after he sent it to the credit union he was very aggressive in pressuring me to bring him the check, finally on Monday when I go to pick up the check I realize that Zach. Added an extra $1000. To the deal, I though I might have made a mistake, he then changed the price on CARFAX. And his website, The only reason I was sure he changed it was because I happened to have a screenshot of the original add, when confronted about it He told me The price of the car went up Because of the market ( a car he has been sitting on since August )....... honestly I got a shady vibe from the second I walked into this place.... if your going to buy a car here get everything in writing, get the car checked out by another mechanic, and double check everything, I'm not a pissed off customer I didn't get scammed, I'm just posting this here because this was my experience and so people who are buying Can be aware. read more

Zach from Hermosa Motors is the most shady car salesman that I have ever heard of on almost every level. Stay far away from these people. I am pretty sure they are criminal at worst and at best not following regular car laws to be doing a dealership. I traded Zach for an old Acura. He wanted my designer purses. In addition, I gave him money. He wanted this to put up the funds for the new 2002 Mercedes that he ripped me off on. The other dealers in town knew what a lemon he was selling me and so did he. It was the most shady interaction. He made me drive out three times and told me each time that the transaction wasn't happening that day. Then I give him everything to trade, and sign over everything like a normal sale. He promises to do everything a dealership does and to register the car in his name. He did not and even as he sold the car to someone else. Zach is a gaslighting liar. To avoid the trouble he knew he was in in this and other shady deals he tried to say he just sold the car for me and that I'm weird or crazy. This is after texts he said he sold it at a loss and admitted he traded. I have proof of it all including other dealerships and cars men saying not to deal with him, and the horror car he sold me.
