They sold me a car that could not pass smog 90 days before or after. Our contract was to repair the car before delivery. I was given 2 "loaner cars" which were disgusting - the first one had ash everywhere and also had a check engine while they "worked" on the car I bought. Then the 2nd loaner - they tried to have make me switch cars so they could sell me a car that passed smog but it wasn't the car we wanted... he kept postponing delivery. I went through 6 months of promises before I called the bank to cancel the agreement and return the loaner. The owner signed a contract to return my deposit within 30 days. And nothing. I am taking them to small claims. I should have known better when I walked in to a disgusting office with ash and files and trash everywhere. They took my $6000 deposit- sold me a lemon, signed a contract to cancel and return my deposit, and then kept postponing my repayment. I'm literally in the process of filing a complaint with the BBB and small claims. The bank had no issue canceling my loan AS THE CONTRACT WAS NEVER FULFILLED. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAMMERS!! Do not buy from this place Qazi is a scammer. He sold my son a car and let him drive off with no brake lights and with a ton problems did not disclose any issues. We spent an extra $4000 just to get the car up a running properly. Now over five months later we still have no title or registration in his name. We filed a complaint with the DMV and BBB. He now doesnt answer our calls. Claimed he couldnt afford to pay for the tags because hes going out of business. DO NOT BUY from him!! If he has dont this to you you can still file a complaint with DMV and BBB. He will be getting sued by us as well. Update you can file a report with Hermosa PD what he's doing is against the law. Well I thought Qazi was a good dude because he acted like he was trying to save the sabotage that he created. I noticed them nervously watch me do my best inspection in their small lot the day of purchase his assistant James said it's yours now after signing I mentioned something on the test drive with a smile on his face. The moment I left the lot and went straight to the gas station, I leave the car running this is where it gets tricky cause they wouldn't expect for you to do it. It takes time for the seep hole and valve stems to drip down on idle and build up to show signs out the exhaust on acceleration about 5 to ten minutes of car running sitting still.. I have been doing this all my life with every vehicle I've ever owned and i also had a 2003 3.0 x5 before purchasing this 2004 4.4 x5. I had it for 5 years so I had gotten familiar with the BMW. Back to the gas station car is running which is nothing new to me I fill the tank pleased over my bigger engine so I give it a little rev to hear that sound. Now you know what came next, a giant flume of smoke filled the entire gas station I stepped out of the vehicle shocked and staring in disbelief a random mechanic it the corner of the station says your heads are gone. I already know that the smoke was not normal let alone a good sign of my recent purchase. So call him immediately let him know exactly what happened, so he insults my intelligence by assuring me it's Hermosa Beach condensation all the cars do that because they have been sitting . hmmm, Okay sure Qazi Khan art and the was the start of the ending. I take it to Beverly Hills BMW to get it thoroughly checked out boy did I see stars when i saw the numbers. Suspension was not even connected to the front passenger axel boot was broken Like another reviewer said looks good on the outside but trash on mechanical . Alternator bracket broke 2 weeks after buying still making finance payments after putting down 5k . He didn't offer me a warranty which I later found out was an option that the dealer is suppose to mention. Promises to make arrangements for repairs with mechanics that he's associated with. I purchased a Turbo and John was my salesman. I found him to be very personable and he seemed genuine that the car I was buying was in sound condition. I was ignorant and I've should have had the car checked out by a mechanic before I purchased it. Also, the warning sign was that I was buying a 2009 Porsche Turbo with only 50,000 miles and I was assured that the car was in perfect condition. When I drove the car home to Orange County I didn't realize that the steering wheel at the bottom was down to the wood and I found this out when I got a 1 inch splinter in my hand which almost made get into an accident. Anyway, I called John and he took care of it but it took a couple of weeks but I got it back and it looked great. The radio was very technical so I couldn't get all the speakers to work and I then noticed that the switches on the steering wheel which control the stereo and the phone doesn't work. I took it to a stereo place and was told that the amp and the stereo were basically not worth crap. It cost me $1300 to replace and I was told that module that control the switches has to be replaced and cost to be determined. I called John and told him that the mechanic that works for them is pretty worthless and this dealership should have disclosed these deficiencies to me. I expected John to tell me to bring the car back and that they would fix it but that didn't happen. I took it to a Porsche Independent in Orange and they put on the rack and in 5 minutes the mechanic called me over and showed me that the boots on the front brakes/Axle were torn and grease was spraying everywhere!! They now have to work on the front axle and replace the boots at a cost of $1500!! I understand that this dealership is in it to make a profit but to sell a car that I paid "Top Dollar" for they had a responsibility to not sell a car that they knew had these defects!! I wish I could give them a great review but I can't . I trusted these people and I take responsibility for being ignorant and trusting that I was dealing with reputable people. Their scheme is to make the car's look good from the outside but who knows what's wrong on the inside. As a Realtor when I sell a home it is my duty to disclose anything and everything even if it cost me the deal. John my sales person was excellent and I feel that his hand's were tied in not letting me return the car so they could fix these problems. Had I gotten a break on the price then I would accept these issues but I paid top dollar and I got a huge problem that's going to cost me a lot of money!!! John and Mark were perfect!! I live in Sonoma, but found my dream car on their website (a BMW with a rare interior that I had my heart set on). John and Mark were great at getting me a good loan that worked w/ my payment criteria and down payment. The did the brakes, oil, and gave me a new battery. They had it checked out by their mechanic, and they even drove it to an independent BMW mechanic nearby at my request. I have never bought a car through a dealership before, not to mention one 400 miles away, but they were so helpful I had no reservations about driving down to pick up my car. Oh, AND they held the car for me until the weekend when I could make the trek, even though they had other offers on it!!!!!! I've had the car for a week now and I love it! Are you looking for a trustworthy used car? Do you want a great price and really good service? I can't sell these people enough to you, they are friendly and committed to saying "yes" to whatever you want. I know this sounds like a line, but if you deal with them you will see what I mean. Their turn-over rate is astounding, it's never the same from week to week because they sell a car a week after they get it. Why you ask? Lets say someone brings them a 2000 Volvo, or a 2002 BMW 5-series, etc....they take the car and literally replace the tires, brakes, timing belts, valves, plugs, filters and ANYTHING ELSE that might be coming up for replaement on that specific car so that you don' t EVER have to worry about driving it off the lot and then having to pay $1,000 for some expensive part and service because the car was approaching the certain mileage replacement for that part. With Caseys cars it's DONE before hand. They spend a couple weeks bringing the car up to perfect condition before they sell it again. ANd they don't put some nasty, used parts in the car either, they go buy these parts from the dealer! I know this because 1 week after I bought my car the Oxygen sensor light came on, I called Rick my man at Caseys and he said "bring it in, it's on us" and it was. A $200 part, I owed nothing for the part (I went and picked it up at Volvo Service myself) and nothing for the service. They took care of it. On top of this, 3 weeks after I bought the car Rick calls me with "hey do you want a cd player for your car? come down on Saturday, I have one for you". I went online to see how much Volvo charged for one of these, they wanted $1,200! Rick gave it to me for free, from another Volvo that someone had used as a trade-in. The trade-in was beyond saving so he GAVE parts away to customers for free. I don't know if he totalled out the car or what, not my business. I know this, everything I asked for extra Rick gave me for free. No charge. I bought my car from them and everything in the car was replaced, to this day over a year later, I haven't needed ONE thing, the car has been from San Felipe Mexico to San Fransisco 3 times to Las Vegas a few times....it still runs perfect and looks great. I get comments all the time! Go to their website www.caseyscars.com and view their inventory. Like I said, it changes fast and often so if you see the Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Porsche or Volvo (they specialize in Volvo's) of your dreams, I highly suggest you buy it from these guys. Your price will be under Kelly's Bluebook and like I said, everything in the engine, etc.. will be new. Most used cars can be a money-pit, but you can be sure that your car from Caseys wont be. They have been in business since the 60's, same guy owns the place, friends help him expand the empire, a good group of nice guys...you can trust they will be around for a long time. read more

I am confused by these other reviews. I didn't want to give Casey's 1 star, since I didn't actually sell or buy from them, but my experience with these people was terrible. They say that sell cars by consignment on their website, but in reality they do not...it is just a way to get you in and try to lowball you on price. Fair enough. The two people I spoke with on phone were rude and dismissive though. One man did not know what a Mini Cooper was. He kept asking if I was trying to sell a mini bike and tried to tell me that they do not sell motorcycles. Really? When we finally began to talk price, he offered $7000 under bluebook. I asked if he was looking at the wrong information and he said that this is the firm price...and he had not even looked at the car yet. But he told me to bring the car in. I said this is not going to go anywhere and thanked him for his time, he replied "we have enough cars anyway" and hung up. Nice work. But I am not so sure that it is a good thing for a used car lot to have too many cars. I have watched their web site for a few weeks now because I was annoyed by them and curious. All the same cars seem to be there. I sold my car at another place on consignment in 4 days for more than bluebook..$8500 more than the Casey's guy said was his firm price. (A Mini is not a difficult car to sell). I won't mention the other dealer here, because I don't want it to look like I am plugging another place. My experience with Casey's was Excellent. in fact, I flew down from San Francisco to purchase a special car and drive it home. I had to rely on the photographs and the description given to me by Casey's over the phone. Well, the car was pretty much as described when I arrived. I found a couple small items and a fair credit was negotiated into the price on the spot. Since I had brought a Cashier's Check for the original full amount only, the difference needed to be mailed to me by Casey's...and they did so promptly, as promised. Furthermore, Casey's has a repair and maintenance shop on site. They allowed me to fully inspect the car while it was up on the rack and even changed the oil for me while they were at it. The car runs like a top and my drive back to SF was perfect. So- my experience with Casey's was really excellent...I hope yours will be the same! read more

Great car except for the fact previous owner had a big black dog and truck was not properly detailed. TOTALLY SHADY - Found a car on Autotrader.com at his lot that seemed like a great deal. Saw the car by myself the week before and things seemed fine. Came back a week later with my friend to help me out with negotiating and he noticed a couple of things on the car that I didn't the first time around, primarily the tires were cracked. This seemed like an easy term to negotiate, either fix the tires or lower the price down to compensate the fact I'm going to have to fix it. Of course he tried to say he couldn't do it and that he's not making any money on the deal which we all know is typical when negotiating a car price. Finally he took a hundred dollars off when I mentioned it was against the law to let me drive off the lot with unsafe tires. What a douche! Then I said I wanted to pay for the contract that by CA state law you are entitled to for a 3 day cooling off period. This set him off in a rage. He actually jumped out of his seat and started screaming like a lunatic! He refused to do it and said he's never done it on any of his vehicles. This pretty much sent red flags up on my friend and his feeling was to just drop it and go if he's not that confident in his vehicles staying sold. In the mean time John came out then offered us a one hour test drive to see if the vehicle is what I want. We took this as a sign of desperation so we just left. I don't really know if there was something wrong with car, but the car has been there over a month with really low mileage. The price wasn't bad so you'd think the car would sell. Be careful is all I say. This guy seems SHADY AS HELL! read more
