This dealership is top notch! I was traveling through PA and stayed at a local motel. I got up at 3 am to travel my next leg and had a flat back tire due to a nail. I called them at 9 am. They sent a man out by 9:30 and trailered my bike to the dealership and had me back on the road by 12:30. their hospitality was so wonderful. If you own a Triumph it's not much of a choice. I wasted $1500 at a local repair shop. Told them it wasn't right. Do you really think I don't know my own bike? They Kept insisting it was fine. It wasn't. Took it all the way up to Port Clinton , actually they came and picked it up. But today after missing the best riding Spring and summer in my life., I got it back. 1:45 minute ride home . Ran great. I had almost forgotten how much I love my bike. Of course I spent another $1400 but it's perfect and I'm happy. My only bummer is they are so far away. But they do it right. Got my 1st BMW there this past summer and I can't say enough great things about this place. They have a very knowledgeable staff and their service is top notch. If you're a GS rider they set up rides from time to time and hit the trails. If you buy your bike there they offer you a 10% discount on most accessories and everything I've purchased there has been cheaper than buying it online, and that's even after tax! Rode up to PA from VA to trade my GS in for a new Sertao. I was nervous as hell because giving a quote on a trade-in based on pictures and chatting isn't quite the same as seeing it. But sure as hell, Tom and the rest of the crew at Hermy's gave me a fair shake and I was back on the road home on my new ride just as soon as my idiot insurance company could figure out how to set the right effective date. No other dealers come close to matching Hermy's for the purchase or service of a BMW or Triumph motorcycle, in the entire region! Their shop is smaller but they are expanding and their service department is first-rate. Unbelievable service and attention to detail! I forgot to mention a very small gas leak that had happened once about a year ago. When they called me to tell me it was ready they said they also fixed the gas leak! They didn't miss anything and fixed it pretty quickly as well! Super helpful. The worst cycle shop I have dealt with in over 25 years of riding. Unable to diagnosis and repair a modern 2009 K1300 S with 4100 miles on it; simply tried new things and charged me for it without the ability to convey the issues or fix it. Moreover; returned the bike with a fresh oil change and new tires THAT WOULD NOT RUN. What dealer pads their pockets for services that are meaningless for a bike that will not run. They also have questionable business practices I will be discussing with BMW. Back to riding my Hondas' stick the key in and the run. BMW, simply over-engineered weights. Stay away from these folks, most of the positive reviews will be from workers not customers. read more

Hermy's almost makes me want to move back to Pennsylvania (ok, maybe not) I've been to many, many BMW dealers in this country, but Hermy's is still my favorite. No frills, oldschool, a small number of employees, and low prices. People come from miles around to have their bikes serviced here -- they know what they're doing, and the rates are just plain reasonable. Granted, it's sortof in the middle of nowhere, so I guess that makes sense. read more

They sent me the wrong mirror, the wrong trim part for my year Triumph and brakes that I didn't order for a different bike. After paying to return the first mistake, I took my loss and ordered from BikeBandit. I'm out $50 plus shipping. Maybe they shouldn't drink while packing people's orders. I have purchased twice at Hermy's and traveled 135.5 miles to get there from where I live in NYC. Both times the long trip was well worth it ! My first purchase was a used 2014 Moto Guzzi V7 Racer in top condition, low mileage (1 owner) , and they gave me a really good price for it. a year later, I sold that Guzzi to a close friend, and then purchased a new, 2017 Triumph Thurxton 1200R (loaded) from Hermy's and once again I received a great price for it plus 15% off on all accessories for that new bike. In fairness to Hermy's I'll leave the rating decision to the reader. I brought my 2011 RT to Hermy's to trade up to a 2015 on April 28, 2015. The phone quote was good for the RT which had but 15K on it. When I arrived they liked the look of the bike which was but 4 months past warranty. Unfortunately they found an oil leak and dropped the offer considerably ( more than $1500). Quite understandable. I was quite unnerved by the turn of events and as they suggested I not drive the bike because of the leak, I was kinda stranded two hours from home. In the end I bought the new bike and paid top dollar, my opportunity to negotiate seemingly lost. At this point I'm disappointed and feel a bit frustrated but the new bike is great. 48 Hours later I get a note from my old dealer telling me the great . news, BMW has as of May 1, a $1900 incentive on the RT I just bought. I call and ask Hermy's for some consideration and they tell me tough luck!!!! They said they didn't know anything was coming; although, my other dealer Open Road Metuchen said when I asked that they knew something was coming (they too failed to tell me) in an email I forwarded to Hermey's. I suggest to Hermey's that maybe in the interest of the customers they supposedly care about that if they didn't know they should have known and informed me of such!! In the end, with the oil leak that Open Road missed while the bike was under warranty and the missed rebate my loss on the bike about $ 3500 or more. Both dealers are quite OK with this.... would you be? I wonder if there is a dealer out there that cares as much about their customers as they say they do? By the way BMW corporation despite the oil leak at 15K and rebate debacle also said tough luck..must be the company mantra. After three motorcyles, four cars and more gear than I care to talk about.... that's it for me and BMW! One last thing, if Hermy's had just tried to come up with a compromise or some sign of concern, I wouldn't have written this and would have chalked this up as bad luck. Their lack of concern and any desire to take even a little responsibility speaks volumes and may get you to ask if this is the dealer for you. read more

Picked up my 2013 BMW F800GT last week and took it for a 200 mile jaunt. Could not be any more pleased! What a find ride! My first ride coincided with Hermy's Open House. Open House quite literally. The doors to the showroom were open and the bikes were being rolled out for test rides. Two weeks ago before purchasing my bike, when I took my test ride I indicated there was a clutch issue with the F800 GT. Nick my very friendly and accommodating salesman said "they would look at it right away." He wasn't kidding....as he and I negotiated the deal the technician took the bike right down to the service department. Now mind you this was on a Saturday midday and the technician started the diagnosis process already. On a Saturday afternoon! They not only replaced the clutch they did the required service to the the bike too. Without me asking! Now that is customer care!!! You will not find a happier bunch then this crew. They are welcoming and anxious to see you and provide the service you are in need of. Whether it's a new or used bike, parts, service or gear they are happy to help. This is the reason this BMW Dealer has been around for so long they are happy to serve their clientele. Their small friendly staff offer the kind of main street service we are all looking for in a big box store world. I have been buying parts at Hermy's since the 1990's when Hermy's wife Carol ran the counter out of a tiny room that was her domain. I have watched the dealership grow under platinum second generation leadership but it still has the same welcoming feel and top notch attention it always has. I took my 1200 GSA to Hermys for a quick look over and oil change along with an inspection, they called and told me it was ready for pick up When I arrived it did not have an inspection stick because they need the registration, which I had in my pocket After giving them the registration they went to put the Inspection sticker on and noticed that the Pennsylvania Sticker was missing, This was three months before it was to be eliminated, they told me that they could not install the inspection sticker. While there I called the State Police to find out if there was any risk for them in doing this and they told me that it was not a problem being that I had one and it must have either fallen off or been taken off. Hermys wanted nothing to do with it. I drove 110 miles to get that Bike inspected at at BMW dealership that I thought was and had outstanding service only to be sent home with no inspection sticker and no one giving a Damn! I now ride 10 miles to Quaker City Motorsports a New BMW service shop located in Manayunk Pa just outside of Philadelphia. A much more friendly and caring outfit read more

Go see Bob Lilly in sales. He was willing to work with me I'm out of NYC and he gave me a deal on my r1200r. the whole crew were awesome and welcoming. Kept his word on all of what he said to me over the phone and then some furthermore gave me a discount on extra parts I ordered for the bike. Took the time explained everything so well I had no questions by the time he was done. Took the time to go outside and show the motorcycle and its features to me. Family owned business where the original owner still lives outback! I will travel 2.5 hours out of the way to get my bike serviced here And I will be a repeat costumer for sure when I am ready to purchase my next motorcycle. I highly recommend to check out their selection first before going anywhere else and talk to guys in sales they will most likely have what your looking for but with a much better price tag. Just took my 1150rt in for inspection. Service is always great. I'm not mechanical so they could tell me most anything. All I needed was one new tire. This is my second used bike from Hermys and I highly recommend them. Lots of nice bikes sitting around to check out while waiting and staff is down to earth. Beemers aren't a side dish to them, they and Triumphs are the main topic. Also, I get the same mechanic working on my bikes which I like. Check em out and enjoy the ride- I make a day out of it usually. read more

At one point, they used to be a really cool Ma and Pa place. They have grown and prospered as good businesses do. One always hopes that they remember whence they came and continue that same level of service and customer commitment that got them where they are today. Unfortunately, IMHO, seems like fame and fortune has gone to their heads! They seemed to have developed the "Bob's BMW" mentality with a twist. If I want to spend money and get an attitude while spending my money, I will go back to Bob's. The difference is Bob's service does get it right the first time. While Hermy's has some solid techs (or did) the service department continues to make mistakes and have experienced and been told of other personal horror stories from several other unhappy customers. Some who are now former customers as I plan to be at the conclusion of this review. I have had enough of the lame excuses for shoddy workmanship and will no longer use them to service my mower let alone my motorcycle. I guess all good things must come to an end. Sorry to see the end of such a wonderful era. read more
