I don't even know where to start. Due to health reasons, I found myself having to give up two wheels. This was a very difficult decision for me. I went to Schaeffer's, and talked with Sven in Sales. He listened, and talked with me about trikes, both new and used. There was no pressure, at all. After going through options, costs, and payments, I opted to order a 2026 Road Glide 3. Sven sat with me while I picked the color and chrome options, etc, then got the order placed. I was updated on the progress of the order, when it would be delivered to them, and approximately how long it would be before I could pick it up. They met every estimated time-frame early, and I was picking up my new trike 6 weeks after ordering! Everything went smoothly, from ordering, to updates, to financing. They even called to reschedule our pick-up date when they looked at the weather and saw it was going to be pouring down rain when we were supposed to pick it up! Sven and Dale were wonderful to work with, as usual. (This is far from our first bike purchase from them.) Sven took time the day of delivery to go over the trike with me, and even taught me how to use reverse, by showing me, and then having me do it. After all of that, I met with Donna at Customer Service, and she got me signed up for the different challenges and explained how they work, while my husband scheduled my first service with Johnny in the Service Department. These guys tell you that you're family, and they mean it. There is a reason why my husband and I travel 100 miles, each way, passing multiple Harley dealerships, to have Schaeffer's service our bikes, and when we need to purchase a new one. I just can't say enough about them. They took a change that I was dreading, and turned it into an enjoyable experience that I was excited about! Yes, I am loving my new trike! I rented a bike today from Sherry through Eaglerider. She was very pleasant and informative. Everyone in shop was very welcoming as well. I walked in and guy immediately looked up and asked how he could help and walked me right over to Sherry. I've been to a couple of other eaglerider locations and while they were helpful, I just felt that Sherry had a bit more oomph. Schaeffer's Harley-Davidson - 2020 Road Glide Special - Motorcycle Dealers Near Me - Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania

Schaeffer's is a top notch family owned HD dealer. I have bought several motorcycles from them and travel 50 miles for serviced because my local dealer (Crossroad HD in Center Valley, now defunct) had a service department that broke more than they fixed. Having spent hundreds of thousands of $$$ on HD branded products and cycles, I will not spend another penny on Harley products after the screwed me on a warranty repair. I only hope my reviews of Crossroads played a small part in their demise. They ruin it for the good dealers like Schaeffers. Unfortunately, dealers can only go so far to correct HDs disgraceful customer treatment. I ended up having to sue Harley, only to have Harley spend more on lawyers defending their faulty position than they would have repairing my bike. Had they acted appropriately, I'd probably be shopping for a new Road Glide). On several occasions, Dennis Schaeffer has reached into his own pocket to correct something that HD wouldn't. That is the sign of a good dealer. I recommend Schaeffers of every other dealer withing 1000 miles. I only wish thjey had been my local dealer, and I still might be a Harley customer. Thank you Dennis, Carol, Bruce, and all the helpful members of their staff. And a curse on Dave Long, Al DeFeo, Ron Sherba for making my Harley experience ultimately unpleasant. For the record, in the past decade or so, I have purchased 7 Harleys and spent countless dollars on t-shirts, parts, accessories and HD merchandise. Since Harley screwed me refusing warranty repair on a defective FLHTCUSE5 (about $35,000 of motorcycle), I have not spent a cent on anything with a Harley logo, and will not unless HD decides to do the proper thing and reimburse me for the cost of the damage created in manufacturing, along with an apology for treating a good customer like crap. In the past 4 years, I have bought three motorcycles from Schaeffer's. I purchased a used Sportster in 2007, traded it in on a Softail in 2008 and recently traded that in for a Street Glide. The staff of Schaeffer's are one of a kind. Whether your bike is in need of a few accessories, an oil change, or you're just stopping in to browse, you're always treated like a member of their family. The parts department is well stocked and can order you anything you can need and it's usually there for you in just a few business days. The service department is very accommodating with getting your bike in when needed and the sales department will do what they can (and sometimes work magic) to get you on that Harley of your dreams. This family run dealership makes their customers feel like another family member, and it's always a great shopping experience. read more

Hopefully this will not cause their excellent service to suffer. I live five miles from Crossroads HD. Fifty from Schaeffer's. I travel 45 miles out of my way for two reasons. What a great group of people! Sure anyone can sell you a motorcycle but what Schaeffer's offers is a bit more. They give back to the community in so many ways. For the past few years I have donated my time drawing sharpie marker tattoos on the kids and helped raise an astonishing amount of money that they donate each year to the M.D.A. association, (muscular dystrophy ). I've helped out at the M.D.A. camp where Schaffer's donated sidecars to be placed on motorcycles in their shop so that kids who are unable to walk can be placed inside and ride around the countryside. You may see them as sales people but I have a different point of view. A loving and caring family that does their part in making the world a better place. If you are in the market of buying a bike I say why not invest your dollars into these good people? read more

Recently, I took a trip from Virginia to visit the York Harley Plant and the Yuengling Brewey during which time my CVO Ultra Classic Electra Glide developed an oil leak. Pulled into Schaeffer's Harley-Davidson 20 minutes before closing and was amazed how fast the service staff/technician diagnosed and resolved the issue. I was passing through on my way to Rhode Island for the 4 of July. Not only did they close early than there posted hours on the building. I was treated like Sh!$ when I called them when they reopened the next day. I guess based on there location they must feel new business even if it is passing through does not require customer service. I am sure if I was able to get into the store, i would have been treated like Ned Beatty in Deliverance (squeal like a pig). read more
