I called ahead of time regarding air coming out of my tire and I was lowkey freaking out. They told me a time I could come by later that day and they would check it out. Barely made it there before it got flat, but I did. They checked it out, plugged it, and filled the air back up in the tire. They didn't charge me for the temporary repair, which was really kind of them. Was able to get my tires replaced a few weeks later somewhere else and the plug had no problems until then. Another time I came to get my car serviced, and that also was pretty quick and also went well! Forget how much it was but it was pretty standard compared to other places. I pulled into the front of the shop with a flat tire that needed air and asked the short Hispanic man that would not give his name when I asked if he or someone there could help me with putting air in my tire and he told me the tire was no good without even checking it and said he could not help me and I told him that it has a slow leak from a plug I put in the tire and it just need air he walked away from me and ignored me for 5 min or so and I asked him politely if he could just put some air in the tire so I can move it he refused me again now I have been in the auto business for 40 years and I have never been treated so poorly I was shocked to see that they have such good reviews don't know if the short man who would not give his name deals with customers on a regular basis I would hope not he was very inconsiderate and had a very judgemental attitude that's my 1 and only experience with this place I hope the owner reads this and has a little talk with his employee about treating all potential customers with respect with a non judgemental attitude and be a little more compassionate with people in this community read more

EDIT: Post edited after speaking to the owner Paul. Some things clarified or removed, but main points remain. He says he will personally oversee any repair I may have in the future, if I choose them again. TLDR; If I could sum them up in a few simple sentences. Good for general maintenance and simple to diagnose repairs. Great communication. Terrible at diagnostics & troubleshooting, and only wants to swap parts till it's fixed. They are not diagnostic technicians; but rather parts swappers. The rest of the review will expand on all of my points. Most of the front staffing is great and friendly. Emergency drop offs and overnight drop offs, are always possible. Your vehicle is put in a secured lot if it has to stay overnight. The work being performed is done quickly, minus any sourcing of parts. More on parts later... In a couple of big ticket repairs, $3k-5K or more, just on labor... I was able to source my own part, simply because it would take them longer to source it. I got a remanufactured transfer case, they installed it. Or I sourced my own clutch and flywheel. Of course you get ZERO warranty from them on this. Like if it was a faulty part or wrong part, I'd be paying twice for the same work to get it done. I don't recommend doing that for most people. These were edge cases where there were national backorders and such and would take weeks of sourcing and downtime. Now I've had a couple of cars that did have a couple of "take backs." Meaning, I had to bring it back because of the same issue, or new issue, or just casually missing some final steps. In one case, the dash lit up like a Christmas tree, with every error on the dash. But my car was done? Right in front of their shop on pickup. Or the new transfer case didn't have the fill plug tightened down, it was finger tight, and had a nice puddle in the garage the next day. Taken back, topped off and tightened by them. In another, a couple of things were disabled but probably not intentionally. A quick diagnostic, a scanner update, and it was fixed at no cost a few hours later, causing another trip to come back and get it. Here is where it went downhill, where I cannot go back there ever for my car, my wife's or my hobby car. I had a power steering leak. I could visually see it coming out from the hardline hose connection. I see it weeping out after topping off fluid, starting car, and getting under the car. I don't have the time to do it. I'm told a few alarming statements: "We don't fix leaks, we replace the entire rack." "We can source a new rack for you at $600 + installation." "Your rack and pinion is most likely cracked." #1, I visually confirmed where it was leaking, told them where it was. #2, no you cannot source a rack for this car, at least not the period specific one for this car. Hint, it's a special edition, with a unique part that is discontinued. You can put in a "compatible one," but not the same one. You immediately dismissed me when I mentioned this. #3, I don't think you even tried... More on this later again too. I ended up finding a youtube video on the fix, had the rubber seals replaced in 30-45min in my driveway with a simple socket set. topped off the fluid and bled the rack and pinion on my own. $25 in fluid and rubber seals, and lots of self accomplishment. They didn't even try. A cracked rack? c'mon now. That would have been more obvious with more fluid escaping. Didn't even look where I said to look, where you can visually see the weeping fluid in real-time with the engine on. Next, I asked to diagnose a power drain, where my battery would die in about a week. They charged a diagnostic fee of one hour, but the end result and statement: "needs more diagnostics, too much aftermarket accessories." I'm sorry is an aftermarket radio system too much for you to look over? You know what it was? The horn relay. It was simply engaged on the entire time, drawing about 180mA constantly. Which also pointed out the fact my horn wasn't working. And again, I had to diagnose it and find it myself, and it took me an hour with a multimeter pulling fuses and relays and walking back and forth between fuse boxes and meter to find the culprit. They could have completely ignored everything aftermarket and looked at the factory system first. Got that diagnostic fee from me though... In another case, a leaking differential. They couldn't find it, and were giving me the car back. I forced them to hold it overnight, told them to put a piece of cardboard under it. Sure enough, they found it. In the end, the terrible state today of many automotive repair places is to replace and not repair. To swap and not diagnose. Arrows is this kind of place. Gone are the old school diagnostic methods to troubleshoot. A tow truck driver I met, said "The old arrows is better than the new one." he meant when they were on 4th ave. read more

I had gone to get my car serviced at Mini Tacoma and they told me I needed all this very expensive emergency work. I went to Arrow for a second option and they said my car was fine. They fixed a problem that I was having ever since I got my car back from Tacoma Mini and told me to comeback the next time I needed an oil change and they would take another look at the issues Mini found. But they didn't think they were crucial and could definitely do the job for half what Mini quoted. read more

Absolutely amazing and one of the few auto shops I can fully trust, especially as a young woman. When my Outback started overheating on the freeway, they were the only shop I called that could get me in right away. By the end of the day, they got back to me to inform me that the cylinder gasket heads had blown. Terrible news and I ultimately decided to scrap the car, but they helped store the car for free for weeks until I had a chance to go out and buy a new car. They also helped set me up with an amazing discount for a rental car through Enterprise. Chelsea especially has always been very kind and informative to me. When my car died, she was extremely transparent and compassionate on the different options I had. Now that I've bought a new car, I plan on taking it in here because I trust them and they're generally a little cheaper than a Toyota dealership would be. My only qualm would be they're only open Monday-Friday, which can be a pain for scheduling, but totally makes sense. read more

Took a Mercedes Metris van to Arrows for a brake rotor and pads replacement for all four brakes (normal wear & tear). Brought my own parts as I was wanting to get aftermarket parts that were better performing than OEM stock parts. Arrows was happy to use my supplied parts, but were clear that they could not warranty the job, which I expected and was reasonable. My disappointment was that: no one contacted me about service big done even though I had asked to be called:texted by noon. Disclaimer: I haven't actually had work done on my car here. I called to see about a tire repair about a month ago and Andy answered the phone. They didn't have the tire we needed but he was extremely helpful in explaining what I needed and what to look out for when I approached other shops. He was in fact SO nice that when something else came up regarding a dealership warranty repair a few weeks later, I had the thought to call him back and see if we wouldn't just be better served paying his shop instead of dealing with headache that came with working with the dealership. He answered the phone and was full dad vibes (we may be the same age, I have no idea). I went to Arrows at the recommendation of the dealer where I bought a nearly new used car. The experience was bland at best. They weren't especially friendly when I dropped off the car, and didn't show me an estimate for the charges at the outset. But I figured, whatever the charge, it would be less than what the VW dealers charge for a 20k service. Wrong again! The VW dealer quoted $309, and the bill from Arrows was more than $400. When I brought this up, the service rep assured me that they always charge less than dealerships. So I called the VW dealer again to make sure I didn't hear them wrong. Nope. $309 was the correct price. So, I don't know what explains the difference, but the Arrows rep said they'd give me a discount (of unknown amount) on my next service. But there's no mention of that on my final paperwork. I was really looking forward to having a better option to VW dealer service, but I'll be heading straight back there next time. UPDATE: Received a call from the owner this morning who had seen this review and confirmed that I had been overcharged and said the reason was a changeover to a new computer system that isn't reflecting correct pricing. Arrows will be refunding my credit card for the difference. I greatly appreciate their taking fast action to make things right, so I've updated my review from 2 stars to 4. read more

These guys lived up to their 5-star rating, although I would suggest making sure your schedule is flexible. This may just be COVID timing ... After getting a high (no surprise) estimate from the BMW dealership, I asked these guys to take a look at my car. They were able to get me into the shop in 4 biz days. The service was overall great and came in $400 cheaper than BMW! On the flexibility (which I don't think is worth docking a star since these are the times and they handled it really kindly) ... I was supposed to get my car back the same day. Late that afternoon, with my car not yet done, I decided with the shop that I'd pick up my car at noon the next day. I had to call multiple times to get an update (they never proactively reached out to me) and finally agreed to come get it at 3:30pm when it wasn't done by noon. I arrived at 3:25 and the car was not done. They brought the foreman in to help and I left right at 4:00pm. And the kind part? They gave me a 10% discount on my total bill for the delay. I always feel like I'm going to be swayed into paying for something I don't want and fear an awkward interaction between me and the technician at the end.
