We called Jay and he was at our house a day later with all the information we needed. Within a week they were at our house taking off the old roof and installing a new roof. His crew was great! They arrived on time and worked all day until the sun went down. They had a little more to do so they came back the next morning, finished up, and cleaned up our yard, and our neighbors on both sides where some debris went. They used that big magnet to get any nails that had fallen. Jay came by in the morning when they started, came back during the day, sent us photos, from the crew, of the progress they were making on the roof. Called us to tell us there were no issues on the old roof, took photos when they were done. All-in-all a great job and we would recommend Jay and company to anyone looking for a great roofing company. On a side note, Texas Roofing & Siding is a turnkey company. I reached out to four different roofers for quotes--only three responded, and Robert's quote landed right in the middle. The deciding factor wasn't price; it was communication. While Robert didn't personally come out to inspect the roof for the quote (side note: none of the companies did--it was all done over the phone using mapping software), he stood out in a big way. Looking back at my text and call history, Robert spent no less than three hours answering every single question I had. And I mean every question--even the dumb ones--answered promptly and professionally. During the process, there was a price increase on shingles. To Robert's credit, he honored the original price. Once the contract was signed, his crew was out three days later. They got my roof done in a day and a half and did a fantastic job cleaning up afterward. I had Advanced Home Exteriors replace the siding on my home, as well as the exterior doors. Out of…read more3 bids, theirs was the most reasonable, plus I saw that they had a history of good reviews and had also done good work for a friend. Overall I was very impressed by the quality of installation of the siding -- Hardie board underlain by 3/4" strandboard, with sealant and painting. The precision of assembly was quite good, and a considerable improvement in strength and durability over the original siding. Likewise, the doors were installed with good precision, and they function well. I was less impressed with the finer painting of the doors. The basic contract included only exterior painting of the doors in the same color as the exterior of the house. We wanted a different colored door, plus we wanted to have the interiors of the doors painted, as well as the addition and painting of corresponding trim (doors have 2 sides). This was all coordinated directly with the project supervisor for an additional fee. This additional work was mostly completed on the final day of the project, and appeared to be a rush job. The trim was added with rough jointing, and the painting around the doors was amateurish with much overpainting of adjacent surfaces. I had to subsequently revise the painting myself to achieve an adequate quality. Overall, the work on the exterior siding and door installation was excellent, and I highly reccommend Advanced Home Exteriors for this. Finer painting about the doors was a weaker area, and I'm knocking off a star for that.
