The way it works is, you visit their website first and place an order there. You can choose whether to have your order delivered or pick it up yourself from their warehouse. I buy from them often. If you place an order for pickup early enough in the day, they may have it ready on the same day. Otherwise it'll be ready by the next day except for they don't do pick ups on weekends. So if you order Friday afternoon then you'll most likely have to wait until the following Monday. I live fairly close to their new location so I can avoid the delivery fee and just go pick it up myself. They also almost always have items on sale, I would definitely recommend checking them out!

A card and game shop in the Alameda area…read more I was in town and a friend brought us here to check out. Although a small shop, you can tell that they have their local favorites come through. There were some people playing in the shop when we came in. Because the shop itself is small, this made the shop already pretty crowded and a bit hard to navigate through. They had some cute stuff after looking around. I mainly collect Pokemon cards just for fun (not to play) so maybe this wasn't more of my speed for the card shop. I got to see some of the things in their binder and they had some cool cards. The prices were pretty okay and I did pick up two cards. My friend that lives in the area comes here because he says they usually have things for a good price so that's good to know!

People, this store values players and community to the MAX. Redbeard (shop owner) might be a little stiff, but damn it if he isn't generous and fair to players and event goers. My mans literally discounts some of his product if you rip onsite. He also has a dog! Very good pup. Nikko breathes literal life into this store. If you have problems with him, you'll have problems with the community :). Be nice to him and he repays your kindness tenfold. There's another employee there who isn't exactly a "ray of sunshine and joy" but if you truly expect every customer service employee to treat you like a king or queen while doing their job, I'm sorry but you're either a sociopath or just straight psychotic. Their level of respect and fairness for the table top and card gaming community is genuinely unparalleled in the Tri Valley. Go to one of their events or game nights, try and make some friends, play a few games, and you will have fun, I guarantee it. Rip a few packs and enjoy the vibe that no other game shop will bring. Nikko's an absolutely wonderful person to interact with and gives me a great experience every time I come in, and Kellan ( the owner) is similar to the guy I hate but tolerable to interact with so that just leaves one person. Each time i'm here he's rude like i did something personally to upset him and all i do is let him know that my list is ready like we're told to and he treats me like i'm the rude one being inconsiderate and let it be known that the times i have patiently waited to tell him my list is ready he rudely tells me to interrupt him etc. etc. the almighty laptop this or that so to that i have no idea what the efffffff this guys problem is. What drew the line with me and ultimately made me decide to write this review is when i last came in for a couple cards. We do the dance "ok i'll get to it when i get to it" cool so i wait, now normally the second i see him i've come to just decide to leave and wait for a txt from them to come in but i absolutely could not do that this time. Idk what his deal is i just know you're going to WAIT. I get that hey, you have lists that need to be pulled there's a line yada yada i get it but the last couple times i've been there he just talks and talks and talks until Nikko comes in and then come to find out that literally it was just my list that he needed to get to. WTF. And my last experience with this guy was no different i waited in the store cause i had no other choice. Got there at 5 and left Galaxy Games at 6:30 effing waiting listening to this guy just talk and talk and you guessed it talk some more. I've been there before you know, shift's about to end i'll leave the last of my work to the next guy, terrible habit but i've done it. But literally sitting on a list of cards you can count with one hand for an hour and a half is completely left field and i hope you wake up one day soon with the rest of your hair gone. Definitely come here when ANYONE other than this guy is working and you'll know who i'm talking about if you go to Galaxy Games.

I could spend hours just digging and is easy to navigate. Their graphic novel section is just as strong, thoughtfully curated with top writers and artists kept in mind. The weekly new release selection is always on point, I love walking that wall of newly released comics and finding something new. Alex, the owner, is genuinely kind and approachable. The shop has that Cheers-like vibe where you can talk comics with the owner and other collectors without feeling rushed. If you're in the Bay Area and love comics, this shop is a must-visit. We were on the look for one piece cards and they had a great variety of the brand new set that released and I bought one. It was nice to know that its 5 packs per player available though. I got lucky on my very first pack with a Golden Gear 5 Luffy! Beginners luck! Overall we enjoyed the availability and selection of card series and will drive from the Peninsula to come back here.

The place is always buzzing, tables full without any beer, With card battles and games happening year round here. Whether you're a seasoned player or just tagging along, The energy makes it feel like you somehow belong. My kid is obsessed with Pokémon, that much is true, this is one of the few places with booster packs to browse through. Unlike Target, where the shelves are usually bare, Versus almost always has something waiting there. They've also got rare Pokémon cards displayed with pride, Though those prices send this parent's wallet into hiding inside. Maybe someday we'll splurge but today we'll just stare, And dream about adding a Charizard to our collection with flair. The drink/snack selection is small, but it does the trick, Keeping gamers fueled through matches that move lightning quick.
