The first location gave away my truck before my scheduled pickup time, claiming I was "too late" even though I arrived 20 minutes early. They made no effort to contact customer service or help me find another rental. Penske customer service then directed me to a second location, only for me to be told that the truck showing as available was actually pulled for maintenance--again, no truck for me. By this point, I was fed up and made customer service personally call ahead to confirm availability before sending me to a third location. Thankfully, that location finally had a truck ready. I wasted over two hours driving between locations when I should have been packing. The one bright spot in this whole experience was the woman at the third location--she was friendly and helpful, which was a refreshing change from the staff at the first stop. Overall, the process was incredibly disorganized, and I will not rent from Penske again. If you're planning a move, I strongly recommend reading reviews carefully and being prepared for last-minute issues.

At least then I won't get slapped with a housekeeping fee after I returned the RV clean. They tacked on extra charges out of nowhere, and when I asked about it, the manager acted like I committed a crime. Completely rude, aggressive, and unprofessional -- like customer service was optional that day. Instead of helping, he ignored me and looked like he was ready to fight. Totally unacceptable. We booked a 20' truck for a 8 hour window 3 days in advance. We received multiple confirmation…read moreemail and texts that said we could pick the truck up using the mobile app anytime. At 9 pm the night before we received a text this vehicle was not available for early pickup. This negatively impacted our plans. Upon pick up of the vehicle right off the bat the brakes felt very very bad. About a mile down the road the brakes started to grind and the pedal pulsate. Once the truck was loaded it was almost impossible to stop without being in tow haul mode. Thank you Jesus we only had 10 miles to drive and the truck was only at 1/2 capacity. I told the very nice gentleman helping us If someone were to drive that over the grapevine they would be on a suicide mission. Don't put your life in danger find a more reputable U-Haul Location. The owner or GM of this location is running a sloppy undermanned store. 2 employees having to do it all. That's not fair to them or your customers. The showroom was about 90 degrees and the lot is full of debris and trash. The 2 employees providing customer service at pick up and drop off were very nice and helpful.

If that was an option, why didn't she mention it 30 minutes prior when I first walked in?
