When we went to check out, our cashier MARLIN was extremely rude and inappropriate. He was teasing and making extremely rude comments towards us. Asking us condescending questions about my significant others clothes and in a way it seemed to humiliate us. After a point i was so uncomfortable i remained quiet and he kept talking and teasing us. Afterwards I decided to call customer support and I spoke my concerns only to afterwards find out that he was the "customer support" on the line. He then made more unprofessional comments. I hung up out of further discomfort. I'm extremely appalled at the way I was treated by staff at this Ralphs location. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever been subjected to. And by an employee at Ralph's.

Downside is many of their popular items are totally sold out by then (strawberries, ready to eat salads, pumpkin sheet cake!). Plus, since it is on the way to LAX, random items get cleaned out by tourists. The store is basically one long closet, with limited shelf space compared to some larger stores in the chain, and even less space for the crew members to work. It can be a claustrophobic experience, so I try to get in and out quick. I don't usually have a problem crossing most items off my list, thankfully. It's pretty clean and easy to find things. Other minor negatives: not the best produce selection, and a lot of their organic produce goes bad in 24 hours. Maybe because I visit close to closing time, but the employees don't tend to be as friendly as you might expect from Trader Joes. Doesn't bother me since I'm not a chatterbox though. I am lucky to have a TJs right across the street, but I do enjoy shopping at larger locations like Culver City or Hermosa more.

Any time you see beef with jagged edges and high fat around it, it was either cut but a blind butcher or intentionally done this way to sell you shit at high prices. Also, beef should be red - not light pink, and most of their shelves are filled with light pink garbage. Lastly, when beef has the consistency of playdoh, it is either not the cut they are labeling it as (filet in this case), or it has been frozen and thawed, poorly stored and mishandled during transport along the way. Filet should be a deep ted, cut round (not damn near heart shaped) and firm to the touch. The last 12 visits we have tried and tested their filet - and every time it can be flatted by lightly pushing with your hand. You can literally stretch it like dough. Gross. Disgusting and a complete intentional rip-off. I've heard local news reporters are now working on a story about this, so I hope they expose Trader Joe's as well as this is robbery given the prices of beef these days. We are running out of good grocery options locally. Every major chain has shifted to grifting the consumer and ripping us off at every turn. Do better!

The cake itself was moist, but with no cream cheese filling there was no balance. Just too sweet frosting and cake. I wish I got a pic of the inside but there was extra thick layers of frosting at the point of the heart shape. You get what you pay for. The cake was $25, but I'll pay double and just get a round cake from Sweet Red Peach next time.

If you're talking less than 2% of all available products, stop me at the door or put something up letting people know that this place is a done deal! I walked in out of the rain and the place was clean, bright, and felt welcoming. There were kids there having fun, families shopping, and the overall atmosphere was positive. Everybody I interacted with was friendly. From the moment I walked in it was, "Hey, how can I help you." When I went up to the line, the service was on point and people were moving with a sense of purpose, even with the bad weather outside. I just want to reconfirm my five stars for this location. I tend to find myself going at the right times, when they're stocking around the store. So they usually have everything I need when I'm shopping. The store is always neat, clean and organized. I never see any expired items on the shelves. Lines can get long tho during certain times of the day. It's normally about 3 registers open with 2 self checkout lanes as well. The fried catfish nuggets are fire. I only go on Fridays to get them. Yesterday, they were on sale for $4.99/lb. The guys back there working are real cool and do their best to fry and get all orders out as soon as possible. The earlier the better. Customer service is usually on point everywhere in store. However, I did have an incident about a month or so ago where I was accused of not paying for my nuggets as I walked thru the self checkout line on my way to walking out the store. I was very displeased and upset especially since I had previously paid for my order at a register prior to going back to pick up my food from the seafood section. Mind you, I was in my security uniform and I know the security officers working the store lol. Furthermore, I was on camera the whole time. The security officers felt embarrassed that they even had to stop me to say anything cuz they awready know how I move. Anyways lol I got a chance to express how I felt about the situation with a manager that was on duty. Never received an apology from my accuser but I'm sure she got my message.
