Sophia is who helped me unless the manager was ringing under someone's register

Just left Ralph's and all I can say is hire a better managers, was in line and manager wearing a black vest and blue t shirt with glasses was very upset with the meat department changing prices... the gentleman who was in front of me (a black man) leaves and the first thing that comes out of her mouth was at least I'm working and not paying in food stamps.... Hire better people to run that store because while she was complaining she was throwing my groceries as she scanned them. Do better Ralph because I have had hard time where I use EBT to pay why are you a Hispanic woman worries about a black man paying with EBT? Huh Sophia?

I was particularly impressed by Mark K..who maintain composure & handled listening to the cashier lady (coworker) in the line over complain out loud about him in front of customers. I have seen this young man consistently provides excellent customer service with friendly and helpful attitude. Keep up the good work.

Just my receipt to prove I was physically there

Sometimes I wonder why we are so negative towards essential workers? People tend to forget that prior to COVID 19 these grocery employees have always worked hard. These people work for practically peanuts and during COVID 19 they were there for us! Some of them died doing their jobs for us! Moving on,,,, I went to get a balloon for my daughter and I was so lucky to have met Debbie the florist and she took the time and helped me choose the right Orchid for my daughter and the balloon Point is that now a days people don't have a little patience they want things yesterday. Debbie didn't have to help me at all, she was quite busy doing her arrangements and assisting other customers. However she took about three to five minutes to guide me. So I ask all of you to please be more caring because in the end we are all consumers at one point or another and if we treat each other with love and respectt - your life will always be happy

This shopping center is a MESS. It's filthy and sketchy! Unfortunately, it spills over into Ralph's. I've unknowingly purchased expired items here. Went back because this grocery store is close to home and that is convenient to me and made sure to check expiration dates on the items I purchased this time. I was shocked to see items on the shelf that were long expired.... I also had to bag my own items.

No joke.. still on hold. 1st call on hold over 7 minutes. Called back and waiting on them..

Special ordered a cake from this Ralph's. This was the result.
    Caitlin L.

I work at a nonprofit in Hawthorne, today we had an appreciation party for our volunteers. Last Tuesday, I special ordered a cake online. It was a vanilla cake with white frosting, balloons, blue trim and the words "Thank You Volunteers." There was no option to choose a filling, but I noted to add a strawberry filling in the special requests section. I even called to confirm the cake on Thursday. The staff first at the bakery had to put me on hold for several minutes because they couldn't find the order. Once they found the order, I was able to confirm the special request for strawberry filling. The woman on the phone noted the extra price. When my coworker picked up the cake this morning, this was what we received. This gloopy, poorly written mess. It seriously looked like a five year old made it. There was also no filling. My coworker complained but there was no one able to fix it. What an absolute embarrassment. I don't recommend special ordering a cake from this location.

The shelves are very empty. Meat, bread, eggs and much more. Not a good time to shop here
    David M.

On several occasions shopping at this location I have found expired items still being sold on the shelves. I am not taking about expired by days but by weeks. Also most times when you go in and come out of the store you have solicitors bottle necking the entry way and partially blocking the door. People are either constantly asking for money here or just giving you the creeps. The security for the store is on her cell phone full time and has no idea what goes on half the time. The environment alone drives away customers and the management doesn't care. The store no longer limits how many people can be in the store so during the pandemic you have lots of people in a close space.

I've been driving the extra distance to Trader Joe's ever since to do all my food shopping and have been really happy...but tonight I needed a few small things and Trader Joe's was close to closing time, so I rolled the dice and gave Ralph's another chance due to a closer proximity, later hours and the hopes that in all this time some improvements may have been made. I was so wrong; and the decision was a monumental mistake. There isn't a single category where Ralph's is even competitive with TJ's. The organic product quality was literally disgusting and I had to opt to just forego buying two of the items I needed. The bakery item I purchased (cake) was stale, loaded with chemicals, and left a strange film and aftertaste in my mouth to the point I couldn't even finish it. The employees are stressed out and spread thin due to insane understaffing (one poor unfortunate soul sweating & doing their best to man the only open register) Ralph's prices are much, much higher for worse quality and smaller portions. The only thing that seemed like it was a good deal was Kombuchas on sale...but once I got to the counter learned the price shown on the shelf required the downloading of an app, the linking of online accounts to other accounts, and an incredibly confusing time-consuming process that in the end GLITCHED and didn't even work! Long story short, I will be making sure to leave earlier and drive the extra miles to continue to go to Trader Joe's instead.

This supermarket is at the extreme northeast corner of Redondo Beach, and it seems like it serves a wide swath of different shoppers. The thing that's good about going to Tokyo central for premade sushi is that they make all their sushi fresh daily and what's not sold is marked down and got rid of before next day compared to other markets where they sell their sushi that's like 2-4 days old. They went viral for awhile for having a hot food bar, which looked like a buffet but in reality you grab what you want but it's $15.99 a pound. The pound adds up really quick and you end with paying like $30. The food isn't that great in the hot food bar in my option so I'd skip it. The market itself is very pricey it's not a cheap market. So if your planning on buying grocery your gonna pay high prices. I'd go here for a quick sushi roll or some mochi they sell a bag from Japan for $3.99 with red bean that's pretty good. One of my favorite food item is the umami chicken karage with rice that's pre packaged and if you can snag it while it's still hot that great. Its usually on a separate table on in the refrigerated section, It's the one with some teriyaki sauce over it, not the regular one. As you exit you can grab utensils, napkins, wasabi. ginger, soy sauce. Parking is a hit and miss, it's a popular market if you go there at lunch time it's packed or weekends. Personally I drop by to get a quick bite, sushi roll or chicken karage . They do have a food court that has a Japanese bakery, takoyaki , a katsu place. Upstairs they have a sushi bar which is unique I havnt tried it but seems a bit pricey but looks like quality. Looking for something Japanese in food wise, this would be one of the places to go to look for it. I don't know why it seems like every Asian market I've been to is so cramped and hardly any space when trying to get around with a cart. It's the same here.t
