The structure of the process is crazy. I have been trying to get a correct referral for twenty days. I have spoken to six different people who offer no assistance or make lame excuses. Never have I heard the statement,"I'll take care of this. Instead I get statements that I cannot fathom. Here we go. !. The fax machine is busy for the next eight days. 2. The person who works the fax machine called in sick 3. The doctor only works one day a week 4. I sent you referral for PT to be applied to your knee because that's what your visit was for. (its the shoulder) 5. I'll check the POL (?) 6. Maybe the PA can give the referral. 7. Referral to wrong provider, correct body part 8. Referral to correct provider, wrong body part. 9. Never had a conversation where anyone took responsibility or made the statement, "I'll take care of the problem." 10. Lack of staff interest in being helpful When you and the doctor are in the exam room and agree on PT do not assume that the referral will be sent to the correct provider or that the body part to be treated will be correctly identified. I think to some degree the staff is being victimized by the system they work in. The worst activity in the work place is to have responsibility with no authority. Never, in the six people I talked to did anyone indentify themselves by name or title. What are they hiding from. I had a call from the correct provider today to confirm referral and was told they had a referral for my knee. I am back to square one. In summary I have been on this quest for twenty days talked to six people three at the PT provider and still no treatment. Here's the best. The staff makes notes on My Cart documenting communication. Every statement is false and is simply good old CYA. DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE!!!

October 2024: the right leg is still unchanged, I can't see any issues with it (actually I never…read morehave) but the left leg now is far worse, both above and below the knee, with prominent bulging unsightly veins, noticeably protruding from the leg far more than they ever did before treatment. I also have new circulation issues in my left foot and ankle, causing significant swelling, more severe peripheral neuropathy, and continuous debilitating pain 24/7 that pain meds don't touch. I can't state with a positive certainty that the painful ankle and foot swelling and related crippling foot pain is absolutely related to the vein treatment, I had minor tingling and foot numbness in both feet due to neuropathy prior to this treatment, and this pain only started in the last 3 months after I lost 30 lbs and started exercising more, but to me there's a correlation, if not causation. In short I wish I had never done any vein treatments at all. Ask yourself how cosmetically bad your unsightly vein problem might be, and realize you're rolling the dice and there's a chance that any treatment (with any Doctor) will actually make the problem worse.

No one from their office called, I called twice, always being told someone would call me back to follow up. I was refusing to pay for the co-pay until someone called me to schedule the MRI. The only person that ever called was the person in bill collection threatening to send me to collections over $35. That's all this doctor and his staff are worth. These people don't care.......I will never go back and obviously would not recommend them to anyone.

Thank you to all of you, and also the 2 new nurses introduced to me in the operating room as I was saying hello while succumbing to the anesthesia. I remember laughing to myself as they wheeled me down the hall, and saying I felt like a famous formula 1 driver and they were my superstar pit crew! They know how to help you relax and have a little fun before and after the procedures. I've had four different surgeons. They were all top notch. The facility is clean, busy and full of people who care and try to make your procedure as smooth as possible. I rather enjoyed the chatter amongst the staff. It showed me that they enjoyed their job and their co-workers. It was a true team experience. I highly recommend any of their Monterey facilities.

I still have some muscle soreness and tightness, which is to be expected, but the difference is remarkable. Deb, Dr. Sohrab's assistant, made the entire process incredibly easy. She was always available to answer my questions, walked me through every step, and even provided helpful videos explaining what to expect before and after surgery.
