No one from their office called, I called twice, always being told someone would call me back to follow up. I was refusing to pay for the co-pay until someone called me to schedule the MRI. The only person that ever called was the person in bill collection threatening to send me to collections over $35. That's all this doctor and his staff are worth. These people don't care.......I will never go back and obviously would not recommend them to anyone.

DO's are so much more holistic in their approach and though her manipulation technique was different from what I was used to I couldn't be happier with the results. I highly recommend this wonderful doctor to anyone with back pain or mobility issues. I'm sure she is great at everything but she certainly has helped me with my back and walking.

Majority of the staff I think is very well mannered in the back of office, but some of the receptionist are a little bit snooty, and rude. I have never had issues with medical assistance receptionist in the back or any of the doctors. Reading some of the reviews makes me kind of sad. I am really happy that I have not experienced this ever in the last five years. But they could definitely get a couple of better behavior receptionist at the front. Aside from that, I am so grateful that I found this medical group. They have been a huge blessing to me.

I'm not completely out of the woods yet, but the herniation pain that I've been dealing with is already gone. I still have some muscle soreness and tightness, which is to be expected, but the difference is remarkable. Deb, Dr. Sohrab's assistant, made the entire process incredibly easy. She was always available to answer my questions, walked me through every step, and even provided helpful videos explaining what to expect before and after surgery. As a former professional snowboarder, I've had my share of injuries and surgeries over the years, so I'm not new to the process. Without question, this was the most comfortable, organized, and stress-free surgical experience I've ever had. I'm grateful to Dr. Sohrab, Deb, and the entire team for the outstanding care.

But now I tore my meniscus in my left knee. I was motivated to writing this review because his Monterey office which Suzy runs the front desk was very accommodating and getting me in on the same day that I called. Dr gerbino looked over my MRI again and found a torn meniscus in my left knee and gave me a cortisone shot. I know he doesn't want to see his patients suffer. I felt that he made his decision prior to walking into the appt. as he did not take into…read moreconsideration what I had to say about my hips, pain, limited mobilty, pain when lying down, etc. I wasted weeks waiting for the appt. He stated that my MRI was not that bad and he felt that since I did not get relief from my previous injection, the issue was with my back. I told him I knew it was my hips and that after having two back surgeries I knew it was not my back. He did not care about my level of pain. I was in and out with no help or solid plan in a few minutes. He dismissed me completley. His office kept calling to schedule my back MRI and I declined. My pain managment doctor also disagreed with him, and he's in the same office. He wrote me a referral to Stanford. Fast forward less than four months later- Had my hip replaced at Stanford by Dr. Lipof. He said in addition to other issues, tears, etc. my labram had become detached and was just laying on the socket, one of the worst he has ever seen. I had presented all of the symtpons to Dr. Meckel. Get second or third opinions until you find someone who will take you seriously and don't give up until you find the right solution for you. I hate writing poor reviews, but this was poor medical care and I deserved better.
