I have flown places walked in picked up my rented left. I usually book my car on EXPEDIA never have a problem. I went here to pick up a car that had been paid for in advance. I have never been treated as bad as I was at this place. Felt like I was a criminal. They wanted me to pay an extra 200.00 deposit. I was using my credit card from EASTMAN Credit Union. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THIS IGNORANT BLACK BOY. Dropped my rental car off on a Sunday(11/27). Looked at my account and charges were still pending by Tuesday. I went to the rental place to see what was going on. The ignoramus that was working there had the audacity to "try and catch his breath" when I inquired as to why the charges were still pending. There was only one van sitting outside and he tried to give me some bull excuse that there were 2 vans sitting there. Ugh no, I parked right next to the van that I dropped off. After he searched for the keys, all the while huffing and puffing under his breath, he finally pulled up my account. I asked him what the final charges were, and still ROLLING HIS EYES, he told me the charges. Now, this review WOULD NOT have been written if he had just kept his ATTITUDE in check. I have worked in CUSTOMER SERVICE for years and his LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE was and will always be UNACCEPTABLE. Having a bad day, SO WHAT. Pissed at the previous customer, SO WHAT. I reserved a car at this office as I was flying into Longview. I thought this was the airport location and made a reservation for 2 PM. I was in Dallas Fort Worth airport waiting for my connection to Longview and received a call from them asking when I would be arriving. I told him my flight came in at three and they informed me that the location was not at the airport. The man then spoke to his manager and delivered the Hertz car to the airport and left it parked for me at the private terminal next-door. This is amazing customer service and I highly recommend this rental car office. I travel often and rarely have I received this level of service. Longview Hertz, please teach the world. read more

To understand my level of expectation, here is a bit of background. I've been in retail for 37 years and the last 10 of those were at the pinnacle as a Lexus tech specialist helping guests understand new technologies in their new Lexus cars. So to understand I have HIGH hopes of service both when I give and receive services. My Wife and I drove to this Hertz expecting a similar poor interaction like we just had yesterday at the DFW branch, but it's clear the people make ALL the difference! The guys at this Longview Hertz branch are top notch! They empathized then tried to recover us as Hertz Gold members! We are now right back in the Hertz family. Jeremy Mathis was the gentleman that made this perfect encounter happen and deserves accolades for making our family happy and safe once more, by giving us not by only what we paid for but also by sharing a brand new Camry that would have rightfully made a nice addition to their local fleet. By far the absolute WORST customer service EVER. I reserved a car online through Hertz website. Paid for it in full. Set the pick up time for the latest possible time. Unfortunately, as a truck driver, I can't always rely on other people to get my 18 wheeler unloaded in a timely manner. I was not going to make it back to town in time to pick up my rental before they closed. I called the location and asked if they could PLEASE deliver my rental to my home (someone would be there to collect the keys) and they denied it. By the way, they advertise FREE DELIVERY AND PICK UP. They said since I reserved the car online, I would have to call customer service to have that arranged. I called the number they gave me to customer service and they said they could not do anything. It's on the location to figure it out. I called the location back and they still denied delivering my rental. At this point, I've had to cancel a doctors appt that's out of town that I've waited MONTHS for (because I have no rental to get there) and cancelled the rental (which was a $29 cancellation fee, and my rental was only $31 to begin with) WILL NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH HERTZ AND I WILL WARN ANYONE WHO WANTS TO RESERVE WITH THEM. 4th time dealing with the folks in Longview and always a pleasure. Graciously taking me to the Amtrak station when I've dropped off my one-way rental from Beaumont, TX June 2017 and August 2007. Here's the deal...my one-way return to Beaumont rental was not there this time when I got off the train. As it turned out, I had made the reservation for May instead of June...my mistake. Please understand that I needed a car capable of hauling a family of 5 with (4 ladies) and luggage for a 1 1/2 week trip. The typical economy car wouldn't do. I will always rent from here from now on. Enterprise lost my business after a horrible experience with them and bad customer service. Hertz was easy and took literally 5 mins to get the car. After the trip an article was left in the car. I called and he said he would go check ( I expected he would put me on hold and not go check). To my surprise he not only checked he had to check 3 similar cars and found it :). They will always have a customer with me and my family!! read more

This is the worst company I've ever dealt with. I reserved a car a week ago to be ready at 9am today. Not only was my car not there at 9, it was not there at 3 when they promised they would have one in. Then when i got upset about them lying to me twice, the guy in the office yelled at me.
