Pretzel with chicken liver pate and beer cheese
    Anna K.

I came here with my boyfriend on a late Sunday afternoon. No need for reservations. My boyfriend is German and he approves of the beer selection. We only stopped for a quick bite so we ordered the pretzel with both the chicken liver pate and beer cheese. My boyfriend said the pretzel would be a good gauge if this is an authentic German place or not. Sadly the pretzel was too soft so loses a point. However we finished everything and liked that we got both dips. We will be back to have a real meal!

Decided to eat here on a Sunday night -- sat outside since the weather was pleasant. Our server suggested drinks and we ordered off the menu and one special fried pork knuckles. Service was good, food was good... what more can you ask for.

What in the name of giant pretzels did I just eat? Having never really explored German cuisine, I was not prepared for the size of what showed up on my plate, but the best part, it was great and accompanied by a side of goose liver pàte which I was delighted to find , I actually loved. The atmosphere was super cool, but the best part of the excursion: challenging my partner to drink an entire boot of beer. Yes you heard that right, practically a life size 64 oz glass of beer. The Germans definitely "go big or go home".

Was invited to a family gathering here. We were seated in a separate area, though not very private, and was tight bec not enough space for the number of people reserved for. Found the meat dry in the schnitzels and pork chop dishes. Didn't really like the pork chop flavor. Apps and sides were just ok.

A Clean, Well-Lighted Place. Stopped in for some holiday libations with some old friends. Bar tender was efficient and friendly. Drinks were on point. Alas, I did not try any food as by the time I inquired as to placing an order, the kitchen had closed for the evening. Next time.

This is a local go to spot for our family, especially after our nephew's baseball game. Always solid portions and the kind of beer that brings us back to Munich. Nice outdoor area and shout out to Carrie who was so very fun to chat with and was an attentive server. During the day it feels calmer but can only imagine it gets rambunctious, like any other beer hall. The outdoor spot is much appreciated by pawrents.

Its always a fun time at Manor Oktoberfest - The food is flavorful & the drinks are always flowing with a large list of beers on tap. I love sitting outside so the front courtyard is a great place to be on a sunny day. The wait staff is very nice & management is very accommodating to large parties.

I came here with friends in the neighborhood for a school fundraiser. It was super crowded and busy, and service was a bit slow, but they were on top of things. I ordered the beef sausage with the vinegar- based coleslaw. The meal was delicious and was filling, though I did not feel heavy after eating. Overall, it was a great experience!

Pros: authentic German cuisine. Food is very good and quite authentic. Beer is great. As well Come: very pricey. An entree will run you $25+ They have another outpost in queens which is a bit smaller. We frequent this establishment once every 6-7 months. As specialty food prices have risen, so have menu prices.

Turns out, very, very, VERY bad. We ordered two cocktails. 45 MINUTES LATER, we were still waiting. I asked our waitress twice where they were. Both times, dismissive and annoyed: "They're coming." At that point I assumed they were being delivered by horseback. The drinks finally came, watered down and mediocre. We eventually ordered a second round, and somehow three different people became involved in getting us drinks. One of them came over to ask for my wife's name for the order (?). I genuinely started wondering if we were applying for a mortgage. How many people does it take to make a cocktail here? Literally let me behind the bar and I'll mix the martini myself. It takes under 60 seconds at any bar in Manhattan, but somehow in Flushing, every drink order takes 45 minutes.

They seem to go the extra mile when it comes to creating a celebratory atmosphere. Service was excellent from start to finish. The staff at reception and at the table were attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Food-wise, we tried the Kung Pao calamari and wagyu meatballs after seeing other reviewers rave about them, but both felt a little gimmicky to me. Our group mostly stuck with more traditional brunch items, including breakfast burritos and omelettes, and those were fine. Overall, I would not necessarily come here just for the food, but I would recommend it for the atmosphere, service, and special-occasion vibe. It is a great spot if you want a pretty setting, good hospitality, and plenty of photo-friendly areas.

They apparently have a whole flight of Margaritas and/or Mojitos to sample - I'd love to try one sometime, however yesterday I stuck with a regular Margarita and was pretty pleased. Clearly made in-house, none of the store-bought drink mixes or anything involved. My mom and I split a few appetizers between the two of us and were quite full, even had some food to bring home. Went with the birria tacos (solid), a trio of other tacos (steak + chicken + pork), and a plate of fried plantains with beef and mushrooms that was really fun - first time we'd had that, glad the waitress talked us into it. Everything came with home-made guac as well. They have a full bar with quite the selection of drinks, lots of Happy Hour specials up on the walls, and a solid, straightforward menu of additional appetizers and also burgers and sandwiches. The staff are super nice and upbeat. My Ma was buying, and I believe she spent about $85 for 3+ appetizers and a drink. Not exactly cheap but it you think of it more as a filling and fairly tasty lunch for 2, roughly $40 each - it's not bad at all. Will definitely come back and give that flight of Margs a try!
