We went down for our complementary breakfast in the Fenway Autograph Hotel. The restaurant was quiet, menu extensive & service warm & attentive. I ordered Jazz at four a scrambled egg breakfast with bacon and home fries while my husband enjoyed his brioche French toast an orange custard soaked, brioche with whipped cream. Breakfast was abundant, hot and tasty. I would've liked a lighter option, perhaps toast or a muffin with some fruit. Unfortunately, a healthy Continental option was not available.

We came for Sunday brunch to celebrate our engagement, and it was such a special experience. They had a saxophone player and the staff was very accommodating and even let us decorate the table. They also gave us complimentary drinks to celebrate, so nice! The Bloody Mary was amazing. I ordered the huevos rancheros with chicken, and they were delicious with a sweet green salsa. The beignets were tasty as well, though I wish they had been served with a chocolate or warm dipping sauce. The only downside was that the service was a bit slow, and it took a while to receive our checks. Overall we had a great time and truly enjoyed the celebration.

What an elegant and comfortable place to eat. Met my usual crowd for brunch this morning. Round of espresso martinis to start with some beignets which were scrumptious! They were very light and came with a raspberry compote. I had coconut pineapple pancakes, and one of us had veggie omelette, a French toast order and the vegetables Chile Verde Chilaquiles. We all enjoyed our meals! Next time going back to check out the roof top bar.

Went here last night . The food was very good . 6oz filet , Wagyu flat iron steak , Caesar salad , and a side of creamed spinach . The steaks came with a side of mashed potatoes and I ordered a side of bernaise . As I said the food was very good and the service very professional so why only three stars . There is something "off " about the vibe in the dining room . The restaurant is going for fine dining but that's not the impression the room presents . It comes off almost breakfast at a chain restaurant. Bright lights - no tablecloths - salad bowls that wobbled when trying to eat . The worst and most disturbing aspect is many times during our meal waiters from different sections of the hotel came through pushing big - noisy - serving carts - did I mention noisy ? The food presentation was very nice and again the service was very good ( we were the only table in the restaurant) but we won't be back . The ambiance is not there for a fine dining experience.

Pistachio Basque cheesecake was delightful. Fluffy and not too sweet.

The ambiance is upscale yet casual. I like the dark woods and deep teal combination. The service was spot on. Adam was a delightful and very informative waiter. The food was scrumptious.

Love this place each time. Get service and they take care of your needs if something is off or just not on menu. Their Japanese Wagyu is sooo good cooked at any temperature.

Wife brought me here for my birthday. Everything from ambiance, food and service was amazing. Dined her on a Friday evening around 5p and it was nice and quiet. So no complaints there. I had the New York steak and wife had the chicken francese. My steak was cooked to perfection (med-rare) and wife's chicken was creamy and tasteful. Jade was our server that evening and she went through the specials and offered her recommendations as well as accommodating my dietary needs, which made my choosing of what to eat that night easier. Jade also went above and beyond to make sure I had a birthday wish before my dinner was over and I opted to go with an old fashioned over dessert. I her and the team made it happen.(see photo) I currently work in the hospitality industry (for over 20 years) and know what it takes to provide excellent service as well as a leaving memorable experience and Jade accomplished that. Marriott/Hew Chophouse is grateful to have someone like Jade representing them and their brand. With all that said and having eaten at places like 801 chophouse, Shula's, Elway's, Shanahan's, Ruth's etc... I rank this as one of my top choices...from food quality, ambiance, excellent service, and most importantly price. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here and dine.

Hew is located inside the Fenway Hotel. The service was excellent. My husband had a burger made from filet mignon that was excellent. The mac and cheese was delicious and the wedge salad was great too. The dressing was homemade blue cheese ranch with fresh dill. We were staying at the Fenway so we had breakfast there as well and enjoyed everything.

my steak cooked MED instead of Med Rare and the plop of overworked potatoes. Presentation was underwhelming.

We both got a tad overcooked steak (asked for Med Rare got Med) but the season was good. A plop of overworked mash potatoes accompanied the steak, underwhelming. Did we complain? NOPE!! Im not going to embarrass myself by complaining about food, especially on our 28 year Anniversary date. I would think a steakhouse would know how to cook a steak, not just one but both. oh well. Waitress was attentive and efficient and friendly--also helpful with answering my questions about the menu. I got the Old Fashioned and that was delicious, hubby got the Moscow Mule, also delicious. He just wished it came in the proper copper cup. PRESENTATION is what lacked in everything. Wasnt bad, but wasnt great--especially paying $220 for 2 people who only got one cocktail each. The low light of the experience and the cause for there 3 stars is because of the bathroom. A woman was taking an extremely long time (I believe she didnt feel well) so I used the mens. It was very clean! However, once you flush the toilet sets of a TORRENTIAL FLUSH that lasts over 2.30 mins !!! A MASSIVE waste of water, in our state that is currently in a drought! Absolutely unnecessary amount of water. Here is a full 1.40 video of the flush--I didnt even start filming at the beginning, nor did I film until the end. Time it, Mr Manager, I guarantee it is 2 and half to 3 minutes long. EXTREMELY WASTEFUL and there is certainly no reason for it! Please fix it for the sake of conserving water! EDIT**** I guess my video of the 2-3 minute toilet flush wont load to Yelp. I still hope the manager sees this review and fixes it!

Outstanding food and great service. The hostess seemed a bit grumpy and you got to wear something warm because it is freezing cold there, but the food was so good, we would come back in a heartbeat.

I am hesitant to put up a review since I think this is still a local secret and I don't want to wait in long lines to eat in the future.... But I'm going to expose them since we enjoyed our brunch so much, it's only fair that everyone else also get a taste. Hew Chophouse is located inside the quaint Fenway Hotel in Dunedin overlooking the water, and not only are the views magnificent, but the food & service inside the hotel is also commendable. Parking is valet, if you come by golf cart you can just park on their lawn. It's kid friendly to eat at Hew, however I don't think they have a kids menu, correct me if I'm wrong. We had the crab Benedict, a rendition of All American breakfast & a specialty omelette. We also started with beignets which were delightful. All the dishes had a great taste profile, food tastes fresh and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The highlight was the service... Emily was soooo sweet, honest & knowledgeable. She made our visit pleasant & fun. I look forward to tasting more dishes. And I will have a review of the dinner menu on my next visit.

    What's the dress code?

It's basically a hotel diner so you have people walking down from their rooms super casual or people going for a date night and dressing up. I think they are trying to be a fancy palace, but it's a Marriott hotel so I saw the spectrum.

I was lured in by their recent postings on Facebook highlighting some dishes after a revamped menu, so my mom & I stopped in for dinner on a Thursday evening and had a wonderful meal. It was rather quiet inside; just us and two other tables at 5:30, and by the time we left only two more parties had come in. But people need to give this gem more attention! My mom & I split the burrata appetizer; it was so fresh and flavorful that we agreed it's the go-to app going forward for us. I then opted for the steak dish for my entree which was perfectly cooked, had a great sauce, and was loaded with delicious sides. The portions were a great size; unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert but we absolutely left with full, happy bellies. Our server was perfectly attentive and gave great recommendations. Again it wasn't super busy that night so we had no issues with timing anything, and he was very knowledgeable about the menu. Since this is a more upscale meal (with the prices reflecting that without being astronomical), I'm not sure I can make this a monthly go-to, but it's definitely a new favorite for a special night out.

Upon entering, I was struck by how small the space was, but it's cozy and intimate, and I understand exactly why it's been voted the most romantic restaurant around. It was our wedding anniversary, and we were acknowledged for 22 years of marital bliss. We were seated in the back left corner booth - THE prime table for two, right next to the sommelier station. We were promptly greeted by Sean, our server. There are some people you just know, from the moment they greet you, will take great care of you all evening. Sean has that rare tableside manner that blends personality, hospitality, and professionalism that exemplify the truly elevated dining experience. His presentation of the menu was practically an oration, painting a vivid picture of each dish, activating the cephalic phase of digestion. We started with his recommendation, a goat cheese bite for hors d'oeuvres. I'm still not sure what the base was, but it set the tone as the catalyst for every flavor that followed. For starters, my wife and I both chose the bisque: an onion-and-potato-based delight. I honestly don't remember what was in it, and honestly, I didn't care; it was perfection. From there, my wife went with the Black Pearl salad while I opted for the Caesar, curious to try their take on the classic. Her choice was the clear winner. The Caesar was generous and beautifully plated, but not the standout of the night. During his presentation, Sean claimed the filet was the best in Tampa Bay. Naturally, we had to find out for ourselves. Served Pittsburgh style, it did not disappoint - the heavy char deepened the juicy, flavor-packed bite with every cut. Best filet in Tampa Bay? It has my endorsement! Finally, dessert. We finished strong with the Banana Foster, a recipe with origins from the owner's grandmother. We also went with the Tarte Tatin, reportedly the most popular dessert on the menu for the past 18 years, per Sean. Once again, extraordinary. We're used to heading into Tampa or St. Pete for elevated dining. So happy we found this "pearl" right in our own backyard. Take my money!
