Definitely a five star experience and we will be back. Parking in the lot in front is quite small, but there is a lot of parking around the area that's free. On the website they list out parking lots, so I would recommend checking that out. We ended up parking at a parking garage that was a couple minutes walk from the restaurant. Also, pro tip thanks Yelp, they do accept reservations. You have to look on OpenTable, though, I don't feel like I saw it on their website. We were there at 7 PM on Saturday and even without a reservation we would've gotten a table. However, it is on the smaller side if you want to sit inside, they do have a back patio. I saw a reserve sign on our table, so they definitely honor Reservations. I got hogarita which is their version of a margarita. It was good. My husband got an old-fashioned and liked it. The food is where this place really shines. I got hogfish grilled with their veggie of the day and key lime slaw. My husband got their salmon grilled with veggie of the day and hush puppies. The hush puppies are exceptional. I usually avoid carbs and I'm sure this one is really bad for you, but it was absolutely delicious. My husband, who normally isn't a huge fish eater liked his salmon. We both agreed, though that my hog fish was better. The hog fish was flaky and tender, a very mild tasting fish, but absolutely amazing. 10 out of 10 on this dish. This place is pretty casual, it feels very down to earth with really good food. Service was attentive and quick, we will be back.

This was not our favorite place to eat in Dunedin. The food was just OK. We thought the food was way overpriced for what they serve you. The service was good and our server worked hard for us.

Love this spot in Dunedin for a great selection of Seafood! The service and food are always wonderful! The restaurant is quiet and good for conversation with friends and family ! I always get the Strawberry Salad and Blue Crab & Goat Cheese Dip to start ! Then we try to share a few different seafood options !

I have lived in the area my whole life yet somehow have never been here. Came for dinner last night and enjoyed it! Food came out quick and was delicious. Prices are average. The seafood tasted delicious and their key lime vinaigrette was amazing!!! We'd definitely come back!

Great service and great food! The fish is smoked and the dip made right on premises. Even though every fisherman and restaurant has their own secret recipe they consider the best, this version was very good. The Local Salad and Bay Bottom chowder were wonderful. This is definitely a locals spot. The servers are friendly and seemed to know most of the regulars by name. We would definitely return when we are in the area. Enjoy!

Perfect place to go with friends and they are super dog friendly. Food was delicious and the staff were wonderful. They have inside and outside seating. After dinner take a walk by the water. Especially around sunset. Views are amazing

Such a great experience here recently. Didn't know they took reservations so we were fortunate enough to get a table Friday night. Our server at our four top at the bar was friendly patient and knowledgeable. My wife and I had the shrimp and grits, and blackened hogfish. Both were super fresh and delicious. Combined w their key lime coleslaw and it was a perfect meal!

Always great service and always a great meal. An evening out with a life long friend. Great place for a nice cocktail and food. Fresh catch every day! Very relaxing and friendly atmosphere. They have parking in front available. There are tables on the front patio, inside front room, a bigger back room and additional seating outside in the back. Great for parties of all sizes! Local family owned restaurant, so go support them! Fresh local beer on tap & a variety of cocktails to be enjoyed! An excellent place to go anytime! Check out the grouper! It is amazing!!!

Service was beyond phenomenal, the staff were all VERY kind and pleasant. The Hogfish sliders were to die for and the smoked fish dip off the appetizers menu is a must. Fun, casual, small town vibes

Been a while since we had good seafood, so chose Hog Island to burst that bubble. We were seated quickly despite not having reservations. It was busy, but not overly loud. I ordered the Salt and Pepper Catfish, and SO GLAD I did! The fish was perfectly seasoned and super melt in your mouth tender, with a great flavor. I was thankful for the huge portion, cause I had enough to take home for lunch the next day! The fries were a hefty portion as well. A bit greasy for my taste, as I prefer crispy, but they had a good, fresh flavor. The Cole slaw was unique with a lime background that hit right to offset the other flavors. Our server was super friendly and helpful, despite being busy. I ended up leaving my CC, which I discovered the next day, but the Manager had it safely stored and ready for me to pick up. All in all, Hog Island is a GREAT place for delicious seafood!

My husband and I are locals and have always wanted to try Hog Island Fish Camp's Monday night special ....all-you-can-eat mussels prepared four different sauces. We kicked things off with a red sangria and grouper nuggets, which were absolutely delicious. For our first round of mussels, I chose the white wine sauce while my husband went with the coconut curry. Both flavors were fantastic and we really enjoyed them. Our only suggestion is the mussels could be better if they were tossed in the sauce rather than having the sauce just pooled at the bottom of the bowl. They were a bit dry as a result. Still, a great experience and we're looking forward to going back to try them again.

Kids meal menu with the unsolvable maze.

Nice food, nice relaxed atmosphere perfect for date nights and simply enjoying company. We had the fried shrimp kids meal and the 2 hogfish sliders with key lime coleslaw. Everything was fresh, cooked perfectly, and had nice presentation. We were seated right away on a Sunday evening and had good service. We teased the waitress about the unsolvable maze on the kids menu and she laughed and said she was aware. Kept my kid and I busy though so mission accomplished.

That's changed since moving to the Gulf Coast of Florida, where the fish at the local restaurant today was probably swimming yesterday. My "go-to" seafood now is a grouper sandwich which I order blackened but NOT fried. I've sampled grouper sandwiches from many local dining establishments, but my favorite is from "Carvor's Fish House" A couple of important notes: 1) Carvor's is only open for LUNCH. Their hours vary, so you'll want to check the website, but they typically close at FIVE PM, with the last order accepted at FOUR PM. 2) Carvor's has NO inside dining The patio is tree-shaded with extra umbrellas but if it's really hot, you may be uncomfortable. 3) Carvor's has COUNTER SERVICE. You go inside, order your food and THEN go back outside and select a table. When your food is ready, a server will bring it to your table. 4) This is downtown Dunedin, and parking can occasionally be a challenge on Douglas Street, but FREE parking is available in the city parking garage across the street. Pictured is my "blackened grouper" sandwich. A refreshing change from the usual French fries is their homemade chilled tomato, cucumber and onion salad. Delish!

The next time, we went for lunch and they were out of some things that we initially ordered, but we ended up with a heating plate of fried things that kind of felt like bar food. From the moment I saw the seafood case, everything looked ridiculously fresh, and that freshness carried straight onto the plate. The Tides is both a seafood market and restaurant, so you're surrounded by beautiful seafood and ingredients that actually look like they belong there. Then I noticed the MICHELIN plaque outside the building and thought, wait a minute... THIS place has Michelin recognition? Apparently, yes! The Tides has earned a place in the MICHELIN Guide, which suddenly made a whole lot of sense after tasting the food. That salmon was seriously some of the best I've ever had. Fresh, beautifully prepared and so clean tasting that it didn't need a bunch of heavy sauces or nonsense piled on top. It felt like one of those rare meals that is indulgent because it's delicious, but you also walk away thinking, I actually ate something good for me. The Tides was a genuine surprise, and now I'm wondering how many other little gems I've been driving right past without knowing they were there.

We made the mistake of trying to go on a Saturday evening. Shoot for off hours instead, as the wait was pretty long. We ordered a lot of what the Michelin blurb recommended: the dip trio (out of white fish), the crawfish arancini, the fried grouper po boy, and snapper. In the dip trio, we absolutely loved the fried green tomatoes and the pimento cheese (I don't like tajjn but it worked extremely well here). Neither of us was in love with the smoked fish, but if you're a big smoked fish person you might like it. We also loved the arancini and the romesco sauce they came with. The entrees we were honestly disappointed in. The grouper in the po boy tasted dry, and the snapper was nothing to write home about. It must be difficult for a restaurant to live up to the greatly heightened expectations of a Michelin designation. The location and staff were great. We didn't leave delighted but I would definitely come back to try more items.

I was lured in by their recent postings on Facebook highlighting some dishes after a revamped menu, so my mom & I stopped in for dinner on a Thursday evening and had a wonderful meal. My mom & I split the burrata appetizer; it was so fresh and flavorful that we agreed it's the go-to app going forward for us. I then opted for the steak dish for my entree which was perfectly cooked, had a great sauce, and was loaded with delicious sides. The portions were a great size; unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert but we absolutely left with full, happy bellies. Our server was perfectly attentive and gave great recommendations. Again it wasn't super busy that night so we had no issues with timing anything, and he was very knowledgeable about the menu. Since this is a more upscale meal (with the prices reflecting that without being astronomical), I'm not sure I can make this a monthly go-to, but it's definitely a new favorite for a special night out.

My Brother lives in St Pete and takes our Mom to eat there or calls in for take-out at least 2-3 times per month. We arrived tonight (Thursday) around 7:45 PM to bypass the dinner rush. Walking in to be seated, I noticed several empty tables that had not yet been cleared with several people waiting outside to be seated. I was told "there will be at least a 10-15 minute wait, to give my name, and to wait outside." I thought maybe there were enough people waiting already to take up the empty tables, but that wasn't the case. We sat outside in the cold waiting and watching the guy stand at the bar doing nothing to help bus the empty tables, some of which were right by the window. After 15 minutes or more, we were finally called in last walking by the same uncleared tables, led to another table as the table cloth was being placed on it, no menus, no apology for the extra long (unnecessary) wait outside in the cold. When we finally placed our order, we waited some more. Finally our server said "there was a mix up and our order had not gone through."
