    Coconut Milk with Fresh Fruits!!!!
    Lisa Y.

Checked in a few days ago and had a lovely time! I ordered my usual salted pork and preserved egg Congee with a side of Chinese Donuts and my Waitress suggested a fabulous Coconut Milk drink garnished with a colorful medley of fresh fruits I absolutely loved. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dine in ambiance here is very simple, chic, and peaceful with a lot of tantalizing visuals of their Seasonal Specials which makes me look forward to my next visit![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Phoenix also has a fun assortment of Family Meal specials such as one which includes honey walnut shrimp, black pepper and basil fish, seafood fried rice, and mochi ice cream for just $56! I saw a Team of Construction workers order this special and the kitchen team expertly delivered the meals quickly for them to thoroughly enjoy their lunch break! Phoenix also is offering a lot of delicious $11.95 lunch bowls which includes the Shrimp Omelette which is one of my all time favorite Chinese Dishes! I definitely recommend Phoenix for Foodies from all different cultural backgrounds! I ate lunch beside 2 Latinos who were happily exploring the vast and delicious Menu and one of them schooled me on the interesting eye catching durian dessert he was enthusiastically savoring ;0) Asian Cuisine is so interesting and built with gourmet Artful Ingredients and Phoenix is the perfect Cave to relax and explore so many fun and delightful foods, drinks, and desserts at a sweet and affordable price!! Drop in on your next day off and the Hostesses and Kitchen Staff will take great care of you!!

Phoenix Food Boutique *September 13, 2025 *6pm- Saturday *3 Stars Environment: *Small Parking Lot *Easy to Order *Take-Out *Unwelcoming Staff Food/Drink: *Mapo Tofu with Pork *Stir Fried Noodles with Beef Brisket *Buddha's Plate I hadn't eaten at Phoenix Food Boutique in years and decided to try it again for take-out. Ordering online through Yelp was fast and easy, and picking up the food was straightforward. The parking lot is pretty small, which is often an issue, but luckily there was plenty of parking when I went. The staff felt a bit unwelcoming when I came to pick up my order, which was a little off-putting since they weren't busy at the time. Food-wise, I thought the prices were a little high for the portion sizes. Most Chinese places usually give you more bang for your buck. The mapo tofu with pork came in a divided container with the rice, which made it feel like there was less tofu compared to other spots that typically serve the full dish with rice on the side. The menu had noted it wasn't spicy, but it definitely had a kick. Thankfully I enjoy spicy food, but for someone who doesn't, it might not have been as enjoyable. The Buddha's Plate came in a smaller dish than expected. The noodles, though, were definitely the highlight and the best dish of the night.

We came to this spot because our local garden grove one got shut down permanently. So I took down a star because this is the closest location to OC. They should seriously open a location in Orange County, I would spend so much money there it's not even funny. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place was fast and efficient, we were able to get in, order, sit down, eat and get out within the hour, it was cozy and comfy inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We originally came to get our favorite shaved ice drinks but ended up getting hungry once we smelled the food. So we ordered a little bit of everything! Kung pao chicken - delicious! Not too spicy but seasoned well Veggie fried rice - simple and eggy like I like Pad Thai - I'm not a fan of this plate most of the time, it's usually overtly sweet and not something I enjoy but THIS one was so good!! The flavors were balanced and not at all competing with the sweetness. Shrimp egg rolls- so so good. Completely full of shrimp and juicy. It was my favorite so far! Dipped in their chili oil and sweet sauce was perfect. Service was great, they gave us water and to go boxes. I would come back for the quick service alone. Just wish I didn't have to drive so far to enjoy their menu. This is easily a week night thing!

    Musang King Durian Roll
    Michelle N.

Musang King durian roll is a must-try! However, the Durian Lovers dessert was a bit disappointing and not my favorite. The service was lacking, but I understand the lady was overwhelmed since she was working alone and got very busy after I arrived. What I do regret is waiting over 30 minutes for my order. When I asked about it, she told me it would be another 20 minutes, only to later find out she hadn't even put the order in. I ended up waiting for nothing, and there was no attempt to make it right. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was "old", but at least they have a clean restroom which is nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We had the Honey Walnut Shrimp (7/10) which was a honey and mayo kind of sauce over fried shrimp, king pao style chicken 8/10 with a low spice level and chicken with mushroom 8.5/10. Service was fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was very very clean on the inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Great for quick pickup! The presentation does not look like the photos in the menu, especially the Durian Lovers Dessert. The food was good and the service is typical Asian style, come up to the cashier when you need something. Appreciate the variety and the extensive menu, so we'll be back!

The Phoenix chain restaurants is very consistent throughout SolCal Locations. Our favorite dessert, the Durian lover bowl! Black sticky rice, coconut jelly, durian pieces and purée with coconut milk covered. Basic cafeteria style. Either order it at the counter or take a seat and the server will take your order.

Preserved Vegetables & Pork Noodle Soup
    Cha L.

This review is based on a Grubhub order. I got the preserved veggie and pork vermicelli and it was definitely kind of bland. The pork didn't have that "sweet" flavor and the soup just wasn't all that tasty. I think if I had a ton of white pepper it might have redeemed it. Portion was great tho.

There is a bug in my food !

It offers a generous portion of tender, juicy meat and springy, fresh noodles. "DELICIOUS!!" I arrived at No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights) on Sunday (around 11AM). Parking is easy. The lot is big with many spots. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, but Staff spoke limited English. Fortunately, pointing at the menu was clear enough. The food took eight minutes and nine seconds. Fast time! As mentioned, the Beef Rib Noodle Soup ($16.50 - Mild) is wonderful! It arrived picturesque and delicious!! However, despite ordering "mild," the food has a very strong heat; I sweat nonstop as I ate. The broth is rich, savory, and spicy. The meat is tender, flavorful, and falls off the bone. And the noodles are hefty, soft, and springy. It's a wonderful, euphoric combination of flavors and textures. Concerning ambiance, No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights) is surprisingly spacious with its tall ceiling and relatively clean surroundings. However, its walls and furniture look worn down with time. Some seats even had torn holes. Unfortunately, the music uses radio with constant commercials playing in the background. Fortunately, there's a gender neutral restroom in the back. Overall, I found culinary magic at No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights). The food is fresh, generously portioned, and well-prepared. I left full with a bright smile. If you enjoy spicy beef noodle soup, this is a must-try! 5 out of 5!! "GO!!"

The online menu also allows for less oil, so I decided to go for the healthier option. In general, I like how their menu allows for easily adding and removing toppings from your orders. The house beef noodles even at mild spice can pack a good amount of heat, so I'd give a warning if you have a low tolerance. The zajiang noodles had a great texture, and the flavor was light but still flavorful. I'd definitely order that again but with mild spice next time I make a visit. The restaurant has a nice and clean ambience with space for group and solo seating. Unfortunately, the restaurant was undergoing power issues, so we couldn't use a phone to order. A server took our order and explained that one area of the restaurant was even unlit because of the power issues. The lights briefly went out as well, and the servers were understandably worried about the situation. Thankfully, they quickly turned back on. Payment was conducted via Zelle; the other option was cash.

I've tried quite a few dishes here and honestly everything has been solid. I usually get the house beef noodle but this time I tried the braised pork noodle. The noodles had the perfect bouncy texture, the pork was super tender, and the bok choy added a nice crunch that helped balance the richness of the broth. My friend got the hot and sour chaoshou which was also really good. The dumpling skin was chewy and they were packed with filling. It's also nice that you can customize the oil level in your broth. We ordered the pig ears as an appetizer too. I loved the crunchy texture but the flavor was a bit underwhelming. The initial taste was mostly chili oil and then the flavor kind of disappeared. They have a lot of other great appetizers on the menu so I'd probably skip this one next time. If you're looking for a relaxed spot with consistently good noodles Mian is definitely worth checking out!!
