    Brown sugar boba tea
    Ed D.

This place is near USC campus so it's pretty busy. Ordering is fast and easy thru the kiosk but be prepared to wait. My niece and I waited for about 25 mins for our drinks. I ordered the only boba tea drink they had which was the brown sugar boba. Their boba is soft and delicious! The drinks are good but not sure it's worth the long wait.

Jasmine Milk Tea with Matcha Cream Top

Late to the party, but better than never. Especially, it's such a win for me that online pre-order's available through the app and the wait time felt just like a blink. Went to the relatively newer outlet at USC and despite very limited, they did have one table with couple seats on site. Order and pickup were seamless for me. They were also served with proper cup-tray and paper bag. Only one input, cups being sealed probably would be better to avoid spilled drinks while traveled. I got their Jasmine milk tea with Matcha foam, for which I opted for stronger tea. Not sure if it's just me, I felt like letting the tea sit overnight in fridge made it taste bolder which I loved more. The Longjing one was more for those who fancied something more roasty and nutty instead of floral fragrance. Default sweetness was less sweet and felt just right.

Hey Tea has finally opened near the USC campus in May 2026, and they're offering a limited-time BOGO deal. They also offer BOGO offers from time to time. Check their social media page for updates. We got the Triple Supreme Matcha Latte (with a matcha cloud foam, matcha mochi, and matcha jelly) for $7.99 and the Coconut Mango Boom for $6.99. Both drinks were excellent. We were also able to adjust the sweetness level and ice level, and we were very pleased with our drinks. What's great about Hey Tea is that it is real tea, so no weird artificial flavors, real milk (careful for the lactose-intolerant people), and real sugar, not high-fructose corn syrup. I always definitely prefer cane sugar syrup in drinks over the fake sugars lolol. We were able to find metered parking around the area, but do check the signs. Service was fast and great.

It's always going to be a big yes for hey tea! They carefully craft every drink, and usually have new drinks every season. I recently tried their not a margarita drink. They even add a salted rim and it was perfect to drink post hot summer day. My tried and true drink here is their grape smash drink, specifically the green grape smash drink, but that is only season unfortunately. I will definitely make my way down the menu to try other delicious drinks!

I bought a matcha latte, and it was delicious!

The matcha is real and high quality! You can taste the rich matcha flavor, and it isn't overly sweet. The drinks are always fresh, and the staff are friendly. One of my favorite places near USC for matcha drinks.

Triple supreme matcha is my fave. Love the store fronts - simple and elegant. Highly recommend ordering ahead to minimize the wait.

So I looked for a coffee spot closer to the restaurant at which I could do some work. Alibi Coffee is only 10-15 minutes from the restaurant, which made it a good candidate--and off I went. It sits on the corner of Washington and Raymond Avenue. While there's one-hour parking on Washington, Raymond seems to offer unlimited parking (other than street cleaning days)--the friendly, helpful barista directed me over there. Inside, it's a tranquil, clean and comfortable environment that mixes contemporary touches with brick industrial vibes. I'm in my cream top era, so I decided to get their Trademark Cream Top Latte, which uses cold brew and house made cream with a hint of brown sugar. The drink was smooth and not too sweet and, all in all, extremely enjoyable. Next time, I might try the Salted Caramel Cream Top Latte. I was warned it was a bit sweeter, but I'd like to see for myself. Wi-Fi seems solid, and there are plenty of outlets (yay!), so this was a great work spot. I'd definitely return anytime I needed to be in this area.

It's a nice place if you're looking for coffee and something to eat.

[Parking]: The coffee shop has a free designated parking lot which I actually appreciate since parking is not easy to come by in this part of the neighborhood. [Amenities & atmosphere]: The restroom is located just outside the entrance and no code is needed. The cafe has a modern and sleek interior which makes this spot an ideal 1st date spot. There is a section where the cafe has various albums hanging on the wall. [Menu]: Some of the highlighted items to order here are Mason Latte, Hojicha Latte, and Brisket Burrito. Kitchen items are served from 8:30 AM to 4 PM. *** Steak Breakfast Burrito (24-hour marinated steak, crispy tots, cheddar, pico de gallo, scrambled eggs, avocado, homemade aioli, served with housemade green aji or red salsa - $21.00): I was given a buzzer only to realize it was for the food order and not the drink. The green sauce was very vinegary with a slightly spicy kick. The burrito itself was not bad as it had all the right ingredients. It took about 10 minutes for the kitchen to prepare this order. Mason Latte (Double shot Espresso, whole milk, homemade brown butter caramel, sea salt - iced $7.75): This drink had to be mixed and shaken first. A solid latte and not too sweet. The flavor was a tad light, but not bad. *** While no food or drink in particular made this place stand out among all other amazing coffee shops in Los Angeles, this is still a solid all-around coffee shop in my book. A big thumbs up on good interior vibe and easy parking.

And I had an EXCELLENT chicken Chipotle wrap at lunch that was recommended to me by the gentleman working at memory look. I'm not certain where these wraps are made. Another gentleman would bring them from the building in the same complex. I LOVED my wrap. They have a ton of seating outside too but there aren't any outlets out there so it's harder to WFH out there unless you're fully charged. But was great for separate meetings we all had to attend. The photobooth was fun but we were so thrown off by it taking 8 photos, we had no idea how many poses we would have to come up with hahaha. I would definitely come back here anytime!

Any of their cream tops are honestly perfection and probably what makes the drink for me. The matcha itself is rich, creamy, and really smooth. I wouldn't necessarily say it's super strong, but it's definitely not weak either. It doesn't have as much of that bitter/earthy matcha taste. The drinks do lean on the sweeter side, which is kind of a dilemma for me because the cream is SO good, but it also takes away from the matcha a little. I love the cream and wouldn't want less of it, but I do wish the matcha came through a bit more. Additionally, the cup is pretty small And getting matcha here is honestly a whole DEDICATED JOURNEY. Parking, waiting in line, waiting for your drink... you have to really want that matcha. But I would 100% come back. Despite the journey and the small cup, Rōk is still easily one of my favorite matcha spots in LA.
