The shop is very small and you can self order at the kiosk. The drinks are very over priced in my opinion and everything is an add on. The base price is already almost $7 and I have to add on if I want caffeine ?! 10.43 for a coffee is crazy. Staff is nice and helpful.

Fast, affordable, delicious, & great customer service! The shop is small, but cute. We ordered a mango lychee refresher and an Okinawa brown sugar milk tea.

Dirty Pistachio Latte: It IS as good as it looks.

I love the Dirty Pistachio Latte...I still think about that pistachio rim and I'm looking forward to being in the area again so I can get another one. We got it at 75% sweet and I'm thinking of getting it at 50% next time-- just to see if it's passes my palate of lessening sweetness. Overall, great experience and recommend it for latte lovers locals and visitors.

Large size Pistachio Dirty Coffee Collagen Snowy? I think?

This is a cute place. It's also efficient, since you order at the screen and wait, which is nice if you just want a pick me up. The person working was friendly and my coffee was ready quickly. I purchased a large pistachio coffee thingy, and added espresso since it was going to be a long day. There are TONS of pistachios, and it's perfectly sweet, but not overly strong tasting. It's a bit $$$ for what it is (which is why I took off a star), and there's nowhere to sit if you're looking to take a break, but it's a nice little treat for every now and then. I'd come back to try the tea and sandwiches! Recommended!

Wanted to get a drink before catching my bus. And the guy at the counter was NOT it. He was being snarky but like helpful for first timers. He had us take the order on the tablet which is fine. However he made my drink incorrectly and wanted to be smart about it. I ordered an iced caramel latte, and he gave it to me hot. I let him know it was iced and he poured my hot coffee over ice. Which made it taste AWFUL. My friend got a strawberry matcha which was beautiful and she loved it. I really wish I would have liked my drink too. But if I would have wanted a warm drink, I would have. I might be back. Maybe not.

Drink: 5/5 I ordered what looked tastiest and we loved it lol my coworker and I absolutely enjoyed every thing they offered here! We opted with the pistachio matcha. Service: 5/5 The ladies who run this place were so kind, helpful, and had a great attitude. All around: 5/5 I will definitely come back. It's small, clean, and cute. Parking is rough but worth the headache!

My friend and I came here early in the morning to get something to drink. It's a small store, and there were two chairs outside their door. We placed our orders through the kiosk. Since there were no other customers yet, we went through the menu slowly to figure out what to order. We decided on Horchata Milk Tea and Organic Matcha Collagen Snowy Latte. Both were very good. I really enjoyed the latte. We had parked at the Japanese Village Plaza parking garage on 111 S Central Ave and walked across the street to get here.

strawberry matcha 4/5 the matcha was strong and I liked that the strawberry syrup tasted very fresh like they make it in house but didn't like how chunky it was. Would come back to get if I was in the area but maybe not go out of my way to get. tiramisu latte 3.5/5 nothing special. I thought it just tasted like a mocha. The drink was good just did not meet expectations from the name.

Small little coffee and tea spot in little tokyo! We stopped into this 5x5ft cafe for some boba. The kiosk menu was easy to follow, with pictures of the drinks. We ordered a mango matcha collagen and strawberry matcha collagen at a kiosk and waited inside the little shop. It was on the pricey side, $10 for a large drink with boba. There's no seating or bathroom inside.

This was so disappointing I wish I could get my money back. It looked nothing like the photo, and they didn't put grass jelly in it. It tasted whatever. I threw away half of it because it looked so gross. I'll never go back. They didn't seem to care about the appearance. It is also advertised with the cigar cookie and I had to ask them for it, they didn't put it in either.

Clean store and has a variety of drink options and healthy sandwiches. I had the Tiramisu snow and it was good. The sweetness is perfect.

    Blueberry Matcha and pistachio latte
    Melanie Y.

The blueberry matcha was good, but not the best matcha I've ever had. The pistachio latte was ok. The rim is very thick and hard to drink. The shop is super small but there plenty of room to wait outside. They made the drinks pretty slow, maybe because the drinks were a bit more complicated? I would only come back if I had to wait for a restaurant in the area. Cute drinks tho.

I guarantee this spot is going to blow up soon. This is 17Rootea that just opened in Little Tokyo. You won't find your traditional boba milk teas here, instead they focus on sourcing clean ingredients like organic boba so you can still sip on healthy and yummy drinks without any of the guilt. Pistachio mango avocado smoothie -- sounds crazy I know but it all works so well together. And I didn't drive 80 minutes just for one drink, so I got 3 hehe. I think they forgot the corn kernels that were supposed to go on top of the Sweet corn cream latte but I still enjoyed it nonetheless, and I can see myself coming back just for their Red ginseng tea. Thanks for reading! ^-^

After reviewing the menu, my friend ordered the hojicha einspänner since we'd already had one matcha earlier in the day. I ordered the strawberry matcha latte with oat milk, which is typically a safe choice. The cashier seemed to have misheard my name and order because when our drinks were ready, the receipt slip displayed my name incorrectly as "Jane", and my drink was prepared einspänner style even though I requested just a regular strawberry matcha latte. Fortunately, the barista was super nice and understanding and offered to remake my drink on the spot. Since all the tables and counter chairs were taken, we sat on the bench near the front of the café to sip our drinks, which were very good and definitely above average. Really happy I got the chance to try this place finally.

I stumbled across their Yelp page when I was visiting from out of town and checked the Instagram for their hours on a Saturday afternoon and was happy to see they were open! I am a sucker for pop-up coffee shop/cart concepts so I had to check it out. The pop-up is easy to find, it's outside facing into the parking lot, and they had a cute A-frame sign out by the street side. There was no line, and I ordered and sat down at one of the tables out front. The service was so warm, and I believe the shop is owned and operated by one man on his own! He was an absolute delight to meet, and he brought my matcha latte to me at the table when it was prepared. He suggested I get the cream top on it, and boy was that the perfect recommendation. I would say I'm a little bit of a matcha fiend... I think I got a matcha latte at 3 different places this day... and this one far surpassed the others. I think it was one of the best matcha lattes I have ever drank to-date. It was perfectly green, the matcha quality was phenomenal, both taste and look-wise. The texture was just right, perfectly creamy with barely any grittiness. The cream top only added to the drink, and didn't take away from the matcha flavor at all, which I feel like has happened at other places for me. I'm dreaming of this matcha latte days later, and need to go back to Kokoro No Coffee as soon as I am in town again. This was a spectacular find, and I hope this spot gets all the love it deserves! There is truly nothing like a great business ran by a great person and you can tell there's so much intention put into this concept. Highly, highly recommend and I could not sing praises more!

Integrated within the city itself, but designed and curated to still be apart from it, Archives of Us feels like a space perfect for studying, working, and just vibing if you have the time and you're a local while as a tourist or passerby it's a neat stop by as you continue on your itinerary. Design - Private but Open Located just on the boundary of Chinatown and inside the new shopping plaza under new apartments, Archives of Us has its own separate entrance utilizing an elevator to get you to the second floor. This simple detachment allows Archives of Us to have a private space in such a public location. The interior has exposed concrete, ventilation ducts, and wiring to give the industrial design that's currently popular whilst integrating soft tones of wood, stones, and simple plants in the same space. It makes the interior feel less brutalist by incorporating nature where it can. In juxtaposition, the exterior is a large balcony space with planters of leafy plants on the perimeter to provide semi-private screening as you look out into the city. Though you're close enough to people's apartments where you can snoop on what they have on their balconies it provides enough privacy where they can't look at the TikTok's you're watching. Drinks - Matcha & Espresso Archives of Us has a reputation for its matcha. Like so many places these days they proudly utilize ceremonial matcha for their drinks (although ceremonial grade doesn't mean it's good for lattes but that's a whole different story for a different time). They also do Einspänners, cream lattes, and more traditional drinks like flat whites. All these come in one size, ensuring a consistent taste for each drink. Although I did enjoy the banana tiramisu cream latte I had I don't know if paying an average of $7.50-$9.00 is worth the price. The quality of the ingredients can be tasted so it's up to you to decide if that price is worth paying. Food - High Quality for Simple Design Following the same rhetoric as the drinks, the food they serve here aren't complicated but they do have a high standard to their ingredients. The Wagyu Egg Sliders is executed well with toasted Hawaiian rolls, perfectly cooked Wagyu beef patties, and a hand chopped egg salad between them all. The egg salad part especially feels like the same type of flavor you would get if you got an egg sando in Japan. The ingredients taste great and as a simple recipe it is executed well. However, for the price of $17 you might be looking for more than "simple done perfectly". If you're looking for a kick or accent to their food you'll have to look for outside sources. I recommend asking them for condiments like their salsa they use for their breakfast burritos. Their breakfast burrito also falls under the same umbrella of well executed with simple ingredients. I especially loved how fluffy the eggs were and the ratio of potato to all the ingredients was fantastic. Final Thought Archives of Us can be seen as a hip location you have to try because of all the buzz and hype you've heard of or it can be seen as a place to make your own if you're a local of the area. It can be considered both overly hyped and a well loved secret. Whatever perspective you see it as what is unarguable is Archives of Us is quintessentially LA and you can love it or hate it for it. Try it for yourself to see where you stand.
