Came on a busy Sunday (though dim sum places are usually busy on Sundays). Made a reservation last minute and was able to get seated immediately while walk-ins before me had to wait. I order the shrimp rice roll, walnut shrimp, soup dumplings, and a chrysanthemum tea. Now shrimp rice rolls are my all time favorite so I am rarely particular how they're made because sometimes they just fall apart, which defeats the whole purpose of the shrimp being in a roll. But these however were perfectly done, they held well and were the perfect texture and soo savory. Honestly some of the best I've had. The tea was in a cute kettle and they filled the tea to the very top, a bit too much as it spilt a bit on the table. Make sure to let your tea steep before pouring. I made a mistake of not and it was a little watered down at first. As for the soup dumpings they were very good. Make sure in order to keep the soup inside to use the tongs and very slowly grab the dumplings from the very top and slowly pull it up and off of the wrapper, then placed the dumpling on the soup spoon. Then I recommend biting off the top part of the dumpling and pouring the sauce inside. They were so good and the soup held very well. The walnut shrimp was so delicious huge portion, perfect ratio of shrimp to broccoli and the flavor was so yummy. I would have to say walnut shrimp is one of my new regulars to order at dim sum places and this place did it well. The dining area was cute. There's two separate rooms. the first room where you walk in is where they cash you out and where the hostess is. The second room is where the dining is. There's decor of cameras and Chinese signs. A lot of Cantonese spoken staff there. And my favorite decor, was in the woman's bathroom.

Quick and easy lunch! Hey Yuet has a good lunch deal and portions and the service was attentive. I say it's a great place to stop by for lunch!

Stumbled off the train around 11am on a Monday with loose plans for the day. There's lots of food available in and around Penn Station, but we decided to search Yelp for Dim Sum. Hey Yuet was a quick enough walk in the rain and worth getting a little damp for. We arrived before the lunch rush, so we were seated immediately and started ordering soup dumplings, rice rolls and a variety of other delicious dim-sum options. We ate our faces off. I wanted to keep going but hit maximum capacity and waddled out of there very fat and happy. Everything was wonderful-including the service. There were 2 young people managing all of the tables - they did great job. I sent some of the food pics to friends that no longer live in/near NYC..they were very jealous.

Walking into HEY YUET feels like stepping through a time capsule straight to 1950s Hong Kong warm lights, vintage décor, and the comforting aroma of freshly steamed dim sum. Great aesthetic and an extensive menu featuring authentic Cantonese cuisine.

SERVICE - located near Penn station - decently sized interior with tables to seat groups of 2-4 - service is polite but not overly friendly - ambiance suited for a semi casual meal - restrooms available for customers in the back of the restaurant MENU - cantonese cuisine - vegan/vegetarian options available upon request - average price ($20 per person) FOOD - tofu chow fun (6/10): stir fried rice noodles with deep fried tofu chunks in a sweet and soy sauce heavy sauce. This was a custom dish we ordered based on our server's suggestion. When eaten on its own it was just okay. The sauce was predominantly soy based giving it a strong salty and umami taste. The tofu tasted like it was fried in old oil as it was not crisp but soggy. - eggplant tofu clay pot (6/10): eggplant and tofu in a sweet and sour sauce. This was presented very interestingly in a hot pot that was still steaming. While i liked the tofu in this slightly better, it still tasted old. The sauce was also too sweet and tasted almost dessert like. WOULD I GO BACK? No, I was not a huge fan of the food and it made my stomach hurt.

The place was solid. Dim sum choices are a little limited but they were delicious. We ordered some larger dishes to share as well and they were tasty. We liked the roasted duck a lot! Desserts were super cute. Service was great. The place was very cold on a cold day. Wish they had more heat.

Absolutely amazing experience! Pick up was super efficient, and this Mei Fun was one of the best I've had in the city. Totally recommend this place for a great bite in Chelsea!

Service was honestly pretty bad. My friend ordered rice and didn't receive rice until he was halfway done with his entree. My other friend has a shrimp allergy and there was no mention of what the wontons in his soup contained on the menu. A simple "wonton soup" was listed under appetizers and that's what we ordered, only to have it taken back. Then, as someone who specifically asked for chicken and duck, no pork, in my 2 choice protein meal, received 2 servings of duck and pork. I asked the server if they had my order correct and they informed me I ordered 3 proteins, not 2. They offered to charge me for my 2 protein meal. After the server left the table, my friends say they heard me request only chicken and duck. Anyway, for the price, the meals are filling and they weren't untasty. As far as service is concerned, however, it was absolutely according to whatever the servers wanted to do. And so for that, I wouldn't entirely want to come back.

Good decent lunch time men, available Monday to Friday. Chicken and broccoli came with rice and soup. Also ordered some dim sum items as my friend ended meeting me there. Place is clean and was good to see decent lunch traffic at the restaurant. Less than $20 pp for a lunch special and 3 dim sum items.

They had a deal on Uber Eats, so I gave them a try. Unfortunately, it really fell short in comparison to my go-to dim sum spot. I ordered shumai, chicken feet, sticky rice and a roast pork rice bowl. Shumai was not good. Just a mushy texture. Chicken feet and sticky rice were fine. Roast pork rice bowl was abysmal. I've never seen roast pork slices that huge my entire life. The meat was dry, the fried egg was overdone. Super underwhelming place. If you're desperate, go for it. If you have choices, pick somewhere else.

Tasty food, fast service, good ambience. Checks all boxes. The fried rice was our favorite.

Delicious! We walked out of Penn Station craving some brunch and stumbled upon this place right as it was opening. We didn't make a reservation, though would recommend doing so because it got packed very quickly. Service was efficient but can be delayed as there were 2-3 staff serving the whole restaurant. We ordered off their dim sum menu (shu mai, soup dumplings, pork ribs, pork and veggie bun) and their lunch menu (char siu and duck over rice). Everything was very umami, warm, and tasty. Also ordered the Hong Kong milk tea (no boba), which was delicious and not too sweet. Cozy and clean interiors, indoor seating only, modest sized space.

My friend suggested this place and after comparing reviews via google and Yelp, I was looking forward to it especially after seeing pictures of the chicken and Chinese broccoli. Made reservations through the site via google. There was no line so I think you can just walk in but did go there on a Tuesday. Kicked it off with soup dumplings (pork) which was on the smaller end in size compared to the ones I've had in other spots but still good and comes in 4. Also got the chicken and mushroom dumpling which the inside had a shumai-vibe to me (4 piece). For the mains, got the beef chow fun which was good with plenty of beef. I haven't had chicken with Chinese broccoli in a long time so had to get the chicken with Chinese broccoli which was predominately broccoli, just wished it was more balanced but still good. Overall it was a good experience and wait staff would always fill our cups with water and asked if we needed anything. I would say this is not a place to go out your way to but solid if your in the area and in the mood for good Chinese food. *Good service

There was a wait list to get seated when we arrived but the process was simple and moved quickly, and service was prompt and food came out quickly. We ordered both the standard pork XLB and my faves, the pork and crab ones, as well as pan fried pork dumplings which I was surprised to discover were also full of soup, chicken corn dumplings, and two noodle dishes: rice cake with pork & mustard greens, and pan fried noodles with beef. Servers were conscientious about allergies and very specific about letting us know which items were which, but other than that were largely appropriately hands off. They did ask us, mid-meal, if it would be ok if a service dog were at the next table to ours, which I thought was courteous. (The service dog was adorable and well behaved.) All the food was fab, which we expected. It's nice to come in a group and be able to order more items for a greater variety. The rookies executed well (and thanked us for the instructions on how to eat XLB to avoid getting soup everywhere) and were pleasantly surprised by my longtime favorite, the rice cake and mustard greens. I'll need to remember that the pan fried pork dumplings also have soup, because I really liked the texture of them. Such good food, and as always, better shared with friends.

Dish highlights include the shrimp and chive dumplings, beef chow fun, and my personal favorite, the stuffed eggplant. I also wish they had rice noodle rolls, which I didnt see on the menu. Really what pushed it to 5 stars to me was the service. We came as a huge group of 20, with a baby and stroller in tow, and they handled everything without so much as a grimace, just an outpouring of helpfulness. They sat half our group at a round table and the other half at a rectangular long table and also helped us navigate dietary restrictions, asking specifically who in the group had those restrictions. The menu is labeled too, so you know which items are vegetarian or gluten free. At one point our helpful server noticed we hadn't really touched that awkwardly plated noodle dish and offered to replace it with another. We didn't take him up on that as I'd find that wasteful but I thought that was so attentive and earned them a generous tip. The space is nice looking, and the food came out very quickly. We also didn't break the bank, even with plenty of drink orders. Dao's is an easy recommendation, especially when you factor in how seamlessly they handled our chaos.

The eggplant was 10/10; the eggplant was cooked well, so tender but not soggy. The sauce was really good too such that it was sufficient spice but not flaming. Would recommended. I enjoyed the cucumber salad and tofu as well, but have had better. Seasoning and prep were good though -- although the tofu was cooked so tender (or maybe was silken tofu to begin with) that the whole table was struggling with carrying it from plate to mouth -- heh.
