This is the place to go for breakfast. Kids eat for free! You can choose buffet or order from menu. Id recommend buffet because everything you could ask for is already out. We also had dinner one night and it was delicious. A little overpriced but super convenient to walk to dinner after a long day at the pool/beach. Plus, kids are half off. It balanced out the cost in the end. The service is excellent! Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and even funny! My kids had a good time interacting with him. Come casual. The Scottish Salmon was so tender and cooked perfectly over the mushroom risotto and squash. The Crab Cake appetizer was very large and came with delicious corn & red pepper sauces and was a great meal when paired with the very yummy wedge salad and a side of bok choy. We are staying at the resort and have had the BREAKFAST BUFFET every morning. It's very good! You can get eggs/omelets cooked to order. The fruit selection is always very fresh. On Tuesday, they had eggs Benedict as an option. The biscuits and gravy are also very good. My favorite option is the potatoes with onions and peppers. The hostess CHILI is very welcoming and friendly. My wife and I ate here one evening for the steakhouse experience. Our server FELIPE was great and very professional. My wife had the Surf & Turf, which was excellent. I enjoyed the New York Strip steak, and it was cooked perfectly. The calamari was a huge portion and tasty. The atmosphere is cozy and dimly lit. We stayed at the Omni hotel and had the misfortune of having a hurricane blow in while we were there. We didn't want to leave the resort so we decided to giveHH prime a try. We happen to be the only ones in there at the time and I feel like some employees had already gone home. We had nice service and our food was prepared quickly and just how we asked. Our server had mentioned that the employees that had stayed were going to be given rooms so they didn't have to leave the island during the hurricane. Not sure what happened in the past 12 months -- maybe the chef retired, maybe they just stopped seasoning things, or maybe I accidentally wandered into a completely different restaurant. Here's a tip for the server: if someone orders a filet mignon -- the king of steaks, the "treat yourself" cut -- and then leaves most of it sitting there untouched like a sad science experiment, maybe, just maybe, ask if something's wrong. Instead, our server acted like it was totally normal for a $50 steak to become an expensive centerpiece. The food? Sub-par at best. The prices? Astronomical. I wouldn't have minded paying that much if the steak was good, but this thing tasted like it lost a fight with a microwave. Bottom line: We won't be back. The breakfast buffet was great. Hakeem and Timon made great omelettes and pancakes and we had them everyday. There is fresh fruit and plenty of other hot foods as well. Dinner was great as well. Enjoyed the fillet minon and potatoes that were served with it. Make sure you try the crab soup. My husband had the bransino he loved it . This was served with black rice. I had a fabulous old fashioned as well. Everyone enjoyed their dinner, including the warm rolls, and tasty desserts that were good sized portions. We were a large party of 14 ( I think), and our waiter was very attentive. The wine we ordered with the waiter's help was very nice as well. It saddens me to write this review as HH Prime was one of our favorites for Christmas dinner. We weren't happy last year but gave it another try this year and it was even worse. The menu was uninspired and tasted just ok at best although it read so much better than it was. Chef Jarrod we really miss you. The real problem was the service. We arrived for our reservation and waited in the lobby at the empty desk with another party for some time before the hostess appeared. There was no greeting and she took her time getting us to our table. She wasn't rude but she certainly wasn't welcoming. Once at our table when our server finally came over we had to order our entire meal all at once (drinks, appetizers, entrees and dessert). We waited forever for our meals and they did not come out at the same time. We never were asked for a second round of drinks, nor were we offered the chance to order coffee. Our water glasses remained empty after the initial pour. We had to call our waiter over to ask for more water, and he still didn't bring any. We had to flag down a passing staff to order more bread which didn't arrive until we were almost finished with our meal. A 20 percent gratuity was included with our bill even though the menu had no mention of it and we were only a party of 4. Our waiter only had 6 tables and one table left after appetizers because of the incredibly long wait and poor service. read more

The Omni offers several restaurant options if you're planning on staying on the resort. We dropped in for a birthday dinner and was treated so nicely by the staff. We received extra drinks on the house. Thank you Jim! The food was very delicious, my recommendations are the crab cake and the she crab soup. The ribeye is a safe option. Be sure to accept the offer for break and butter too! The butter is a rich sweet and salty, very delicious when spread on the roll. The service was awful and the ambiance is a downgrade from every other restaurant we've visited on the island. We were given water quickly after being seated and then no one came to ask for drinks, food or even to check on us for at least 15 minutes, despite several employees walking around. It's difficult for a restaurant to hit it on food, service, and ambience - but HH Prime NAILS it. It was so amazing. We were here celebrating our anniversary on a quiet Tuesday night in mid-September. The place is busy during the season, but wasn't crowded at all when we were there and Ashley, the hostess, first checked to see her favorite table was available and then led us to it. It was right by the floor-to-ceiling windows with a beautiful view of the patio/firepit area, with patio lights everywhere. The service was impeccable - Welton, Kimarley, and Jobi were outstanding: attentive, engaging, and charming. I can't remember a time where we've had better service. And the food. We split a shrimp cocktail, and the shrimp was great but the cocktail sauce was amazing. The bread was warm and fresh, with a generous amount of great butter with pink Himalayan salt. My Caesar salad with white anchovy dressing was fantastic. We both had the filet, and both were cooked to perfection. I had the loaded baked potato and my husband had the jumbo asparagus. And the sauce served on the side with the steak nearly brought tears to my eyes (not because it was spicy - it wasn't at all - but because it was so delicious). The portions were generous on everything. Our server offered a dessert menu but we didn't want dessert - so they brought us complimentary splits of champagne in honor of our anniversary. And they even gave us a handwritten card, signed by all three of them, wishing us happy anniversary. What an amazing experience - I would give it 10 stars if that was an option. I drove 5 hours and signed in to the Omni hotel here in South Caroline. During my trip, I only digested one corned beef Reuben sandwich which I obtained as an emergency supply from one of the burger joints along by the highway. So, to describe the situation shortly -- I was hungry like a wolf by my arrival in the evening. I realized there is this seafood and steak restaurant inside the hotel premises so it was not exactly difficult to convince myself to enter the venue. As I am trying to do keto diet, I was positively surprised for the flexibility of the personel to suggest and modify the recommended plate (filet and shrimps) to comply with my current life style. I have realized this is typically not something to assume for granted. The tenderloin steak arrived perfectly prepared, just as I wished; medium rare. Affing just a tiny twist of black pepper it was flavorful, and tender as butter. The shrimp was delicious, too. The default carb side was minimized by replacing it with garlic mushrooms which tasted absolutely fantastic. So, regardless of a bit expensive price tag it was an experience I can recommend, and will definitely return if I still visit in the neigborhood later. read more

HH Prime was one of our favorite places during our stay at the Omni Resort and Spa. For dinner, we split the Land and Sea and shrimp and grits. We both agreed that the filet was one of the best tasting, perfectly cooked steaks we've had in a very longtime. The shrimp and grits was very good as well, with a nice spice to it. The waitress told us it would have a mild spice so there was no surprise. The asparagus was cooked nice as well, with a bit of a crunch. The dinner was very good! We also had their breakfast buffet both mornings of our stay. It was so good! They have an omelet station where you can get it cooked to order. I had a veggie omelet cooked and asked if he could add crab last minute. He made that omelet so good! He was tipped well. The buffet items were yummy and the fruit was so fresh and plentiful. I also had second servings of the grain toast because that was the best bread I've had in awhile. Forgot to mention, kids eat free for the buffet. Win/win!! Great experiences every time. And the ease of being in the hotel. I got the steak and parm fries. Steak was good but can't say that it was the best steak I ever had for the price of $50. Pleasantly surprised! Sometimes nice hotel restaurants can be be hit or miss... It was our last night in Hilton Head, and we didn't want to venture out. I'm Celiac & need gluten-free options that are not cross-contaminated. We went with tomato mozzarella salad and shrimp and grits as appetizers. Both were gluten-free and good. The salad was plentiful and had good flavor from the balsamic drizzle. The shrimp and grits was very flavorful and the grits were a good combination with the sauce on top. For dinner I went with the Ribeye and broccolini. The steak was cooked almost perfectly. I got it medium and it was maybe medium plus but the flavor was very good and it was still a tender steak. They found me broccolini when I wasn't thrilled with any of the vegetable options which was very nice of them. My wife got the She Crab Soup (basically a crab bisque) which started with large chunks of crab meat and they poured the bisque over the top. She was very happy with it and would get it again. She also got the Wedge Salad and a crab cake. The Wedge salad was great and the crab cake was loaded with crab. She said she would order both again. A 3.5 star review. This is the Omini Hotels restaurant so the prices are high especially for the quality of the food. You will pay for dry aged steak prices but the steaks are not dry aged. It is convenient if you're staying at the hotel. The steak was good with a nice open flame grilled taste. The seafood pasta was not bad but a little over drowned in the sauce. Our service was good but the food took a very long time to come out. There was only 2 guys in the open kitchen probably due to it being Christmas. I felt bad for our server. There was alot of unhappy diners in her section and she was being yelled at for the kitchens short comings. She was serving 6 tables including a table of six and four plus bussing and running the food. At one point she cried and the whole time I was there she was on the verge of tears. On our date night in Hilton Head we decided to go to our hotel's fancy restaurant. The ambiance is nice and the staff is friendly and accommodating, especially Too Tall!! He was wonderful! We had: - Porterhouse Steak - delicious, it came with yukon potatoes and asparagus. Cooked perfectly The wine list was terrific and the dessert was very good, we had creme brûlée. We also took advantage of the buffet breakfast in HH Prime, we were there every morning. The staff was always bright and happy even at the most ungodly hours! They had custom omelettes along with chafing dishes loaded with yummy food. Their biscuits and gravy were some of the best on the island. The ham and egg slider was also delicious. We came here as a back up to a popular pizza joint which had a 75 minute wait for our group of 9. The staff was really nice and able to make us a table for our large group quickly. However, the wait for our food was a long one. Our waitress was nervous and confused. She asked us about our orders several times. She placed bread plates out but never came with bread until we were eating our main course and I asked her about it. The wait for food is too long when you have kids with you. The drink service was slow as well. My Father enjoyed his Filet and my pasta del Mare was decent. The pasta seemed to be boxed variety. For the prices of the food and slow service, Entrees seemed to be from $ 25 to $ 50 and this was pretty much al la carte, this place is not worth it. My family has been coming to HHI for 10+ years, and this is the best meal we've ever had on he island. It's no secret that good food is hard to find here, but we found it at HH Prime! We had a party of 10, and they were nice enough to give us a choice of seating when we arrived. We sat on the upper level. Kimarley was our server, and he was incredible--extremely polite, knowledgeable, and charismatic. He kept us laughing all night! He even walked up the stairs with a plate balancing on his head! It was incredible. You can tell that HH Prime truly cares about their customers. They were extremely accommodating to our seating situation, and Kimarley emphasized several times that the kitchen would be happy to do anything that we need. My brother in law is vegan for medical reasons, and the chef created a special dish just for him. The customer service at HH Prime is superb. Between the 10 of us, we ordered almost everything on the menu, and everything was wonderful. I ordered the French Onion Soup, which was absolutely delicious. My filet was great, and the honeycomb creme brûlée was amazing. It came with a piece of real honeycomb, which I found very impressive! If you've never eaten real honeycomb, it's a lot of fun. It's honey in between the beeswax comb. The key lime pie and honey gelato was also very good. My family RAVED about the she crab soup! We tried several other items (salmon, salads, lemon blueberry cheesecake, cocktails, etc.) and everything was wonderful. The only faux pas of the night was that my mom's steak was over cooked, but they immediately replaced it. The service also slowed down later in the night when the restaurant became more busy, but that is understandable. Overall, we really enjoyed HH Prime. I went here Saturday for dinner. The food was great. The service was great up until we had to pay our bill. We waited about 25 minutes to get our check back after paying. We were told they were having issues with their machine by the server. Okay, no problem. But now, I have 10 charges on my card for over $140. I called the restaurant and was told that they couldn't do anything. They said would email "accounting" to look into it, and I asked to be CCed on the email. I have yet to see anything emailed. They are only open from 6-10pm during the week so you have to wait to talk to anyone until then. They don't seem to care about their customers. Last night on Hilton Head Island and looking for an easy to get to, casual, but still great meal brought me to HH Prime. Asking the waiter came the obvious recommendation of going for steak since that is what they are known for. For me that meant the boneless ribeye done medium with Parmesan French Fries. I have been to a lot of steak houses in many different places the one I had here actually was somewhere in the top ten easily. I was surprised they would not valet the car for just going to the restaurant -- which was the only ding I could give the overall experience for the night.
