Joined a lovely drink at the new place called Nala's beach. It is a bar and Grill they open from 9 AM to 9 PM. The bartender's name is Chandler. He told me they're gonna be hitting their one year anniversary in June. The drink that I'm drinking is very light and refreshing and doesn't feel too heavy in the stomach. They have a brunch on a Sunday morning that you can bring your four-legged friends. Love this spot! I have to come back either this trip or next to check out what they have for ladies night as well as their specials and the food. They have a bunch of pretty good IPAs on tap, Yingling, Westbrook, Lincoln, and South, which is a local brewery here on the island. 10/10 This place is awesome. read more

I had the best time visiting Nala's for dinner tonight. Their location seems to be pretty new, not sure about that but I can tell you they have an amazing spot. Their restaurant is very clean, pretty and modern. I was a little bit shocked they had Venezuelan tequeños on their menu and of course I had to get them. They were the best tequeños that I've had since I've been in America. Very authentic, they tasted handmade and fresh. As the main meal me and my partner shared the beef tacos which were delicious as well. The best tacos we've had in a while. Their staff were really friendly. Food was ready within minutes, we didn't really wait long. This place is a true gem in this island and definitely one of my new favorites. read more

A very disappointing experience. There was a hugh contrast between our two plates. The Fish & Chips was a $25 basket that contained two pieces of fish (that was nowhere near crisp) with a lot of fries. The amount of cold slaw in the side dish would not have filled a tablespoon and it looked like they scraped the bottom of the bowl to get that. I'm very doubtful this was freshly prepared fish. It tasted like it came from the freezer section and it had the soggy coating that comes with fish from a box. And it was listed at "Market Price" which as $25. The mahi-mahi sandwich, on the other hand, was really good and it was a hearty portion. It was also $25. Our table was also sticky. We did arrive at what looked like the end of a very busy rush. Pretty much everything went well! We came for Taco Tuesday and had unusually good tacos and great $5 margaritas. We had children with us and one of them had a great burger off the kids menus. I do t want everyone to know about this place because it will be way too busy next time we try to come! I and two family members went to Nala's for brunch on 6/30/26. I had the chicken fettucini with blackened chicken, my daughter had a pepperoni pizza and son-in-law had the mahi mahi sandwich. We first order the Not For Kids cheese sticks. These were amazing. They came with a whiskey sauce and aioli s:auce. The waitress let us know that this was the last order of these cheese sticks, so 1 star for purchasing on someone's part. Our food came in a decent time, but the last cheese stick was snatched up by our waitress. No "are you done with this?" or "Can I take this?" Just, boom, gone. I wasn't paying attention or I would've stopped her. we wanted that because we had already planned to take leftovers with us. But, she fixed that. All the food was delicious. No complaints. Everyone seemed happy, including me. Again the waitress show up and began clearing the plates, etc. Took my son-in-law's glass of water. At first we thought she was going to give him a refill. Nope. That was gone. We got out take out containers, paid the bill, which was well over $140 with the tip. So, these people are not cheap by any means. All in all, good place, nice atmosphere, food is awesome, but this particular waitress was grabby and could've used a little more training. We'll probably go back, be we'll be a little more vigilant of our plates. read more

We had an incredible dinner at Nala's Beach Restaurant! The food was outstanding from start to finish. The Mahi Mahi tacos were some of the best I've ever had--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The fish tacos were just as delicious, and the Hawaiian pizza was fantastic with fresh ingredients and great flavor. What really made our experience exceptional was our waitress, Michelle. She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome the entire meal. Her outstanding service turned a great dinner into an amazing experience. The food alone would bring us back, but Michelle's service guaranteed it. We'll definitely be back two or three more times this week while we're in town. Highly recommend both the restaurant and, if you're lucky enough to get her, ask for Michelle! read more

We came for lunch and absolutely fell in love with the sentiment of Nala's restaurant named after a beloved pet. Immediately seated, food came out quick. Our waitress only came to collect payment. Another employee asked us if we're doing ok and we ordered through them. What's pictured is a chicken sandwich which was a very odd texture that made it inedible. We got seated right away on the patio and quickly ordered drinks. Alizee was very attentive and helped us get an order of chicken fingers and (very good) fries with a virgin Pina colada along with a frozen margarita (Friday special) and fish tacos. We were here during the World Cup, so the atmosphere was good for that. Unfortunately, this was a huge miss for us on HHI. We had a variety of foods- 2 apps (fried green tomatoes and cheese sticks), burger, pizza, soup, Mac and cheese, and spaghetti. Mac and cheese was Kraft. Pizza was frozen tasting- low quality. And prices would reflect something that was authentic. We even tried a Caribbean dish and the chicken was overcooked. Definitely better options on the island. Service wasn't great either. read more

All the food was good. I suspect this is a good place to get drinks as they had an extensive list. They offer a few mocktails which is nice. Service was a little off. The server was very pleasant, however, they brought out waters, ask if we were ready to order and then after some time came back to take our drink orders which seems out of order. We came across this restaurant coming in for our vacation. The server was confident in the food and menu which he was accurate. We ordered a salad, pizza, kids spaghetti and a pasta dish. The pasta and pizza are made fresh daily and was incredible. My child loved the house made kids spaghetti. The Hawaiian pizza was incredible and the crust was a hit! My family and I had dinner here on Saturday night as a group of 5 and the entire experience was so disappointing. The theming of the restaurant is adorable and I loved the Nala painting. However-- this is the only positive of this restaurant. Like many others have mentioned, the service is a real sore spot. Our server, Valentina struggled to take our order over the exceedingly loud live music playing and we had to repeat ourselves over and over. She didn't know much about the menu and had to go to the kitchen to get answers to simple questions. From the time our orders were taken, our server forgot a drink and hung out chatting with another server. Our food arrived and we didn't have napkins or utensils, which we had to ask for-- the server seemed confused by this. My Nala salad was $22 dollars and it came with three pretty regular sized shrimp and what seemed to be more a side salad portion, so not worth the price. The rest of the food was just ok-- but even after the food was dropped, the server was nowhere to be found. When we finally did get the check to get out of there, we had to negotiate to get the beer that we never got off of the bill. We would not return. read more

Visited for breakfast and was surprised by the menu layout. Ordered the meat omelet with two sides (potatoes and bacon). The potatoes had more onions and peppers than potatoes and the bacon was very thin and mostly in a ball shape of about four pieces. Service was great since nobody was in the restaurant at 9am on a Sunday morning. The omelet was cooked as ordered, but the the steak was not very tender for a $18 omelet should had more protein. Went on their first day.... service was bad and the food wasn't much better. I agree with the other reviews about the bun being stale, but wonder how that can be on their first day open. Honestly, don't bother. My wife and I dropped in to try the place for lunch. I got a fried chicken sandwich and she got a deluxe hamburger. The burger was 19.50 and the fried chicken sandwich on a burger bun was 18.50. Tax and 18%=47.88. Don't drink soda and too early for beer. Both came with shoestring fries and not that many of them. The food was salted down. The waiter was on his phone constantly. Waited for the check for a good 10 minutes after we were done. Very nicely decorated place but too far from the beach to be a beach bar. Kind of a bad idea going on there and needs some pro management. It won't last. read more

We were so excited for Nalas opening. Unfortunately the food has gone downhill almost immediately. In my humble opinion if they concentrated on the food and service rather than the "entertainment " this could be both a great neighborhood spot as well as a great addition to the restaurant scene in HH. My family and I decided to try out the new restaurant, Nala's Beach, for dinner. My wife and I ate there in the fall when it was still called Lucky Beach, and my memory is that the food was underwhelming and the restaurant had a surprisingly limited menu. But with new ownership, a new name, and much more expansive menu, we were really looking forward to dinner tonight. We played miniature golf next door before dinner and the food smelled delicious the whole time we were playing. Unfortunately, the quality of the food wasn't nearly as good as it smelled outside. The positives were that my son got ribs and street corn, and his girlfriend got a salad, and they both said their meals were very good. The negatives were everything else. My wife and I both got burgers and they were overcooked, on stale buns, and with cold fries. My daughter and her best friend both ordered pasta dishes and both said their dishes were bland, the pasta was overcooked, and the marinara sauce was thin and watery. We ordered the bread appetizer, and it was basically brown and serve dinner rolls from a grocery store and, like other things we ordered this evening, it came out stale and overcooked. Even the drinks weren't right, as two people got cokes and said they were very syrupy, and another person got sweet tea and said it tasted terrible. All in all, it was basically Applebee's quality food, but it set me back almost $200. I didn't complain while I was there, both because our server was a young girl, and also because she was very nice. The food quality was not her fault. read more
