One of the better hibachi buffets I've been to in quite a while. Prices range from $10 for lunch to $15.99 for weekend prices. The buffet is plentiful with everything from blue crabs, a hibachi hot station, sushi, teriyaki chicken and egg drop soup to fried chicken, ribs and pizza. There's something fro everyone! They update the food items on a regular basis. They keep it pretty clean around the stations and include hand sanitizer and gloves at each station-which was helpful. My only 2 complaints is that the staff is very young at the front and seemed to stay on their phone when greeting guests. Also, the waiters don't seem very friendly. Lastly, some of the food selections were just blah and didn't taste authentic. Overall for the price you can't beat it. Awesome place to sample lots of options for a reasonable fee. read more

As a buffet, this one is the "usual" Chinese buffet. Hot selections are good but nothing out of the ordinary. The sushi is good, not complicated, and usually restocked pretty fast. There is a hibachi where you make yourself a plate and then they cook it for you. This guarantees "freshly cooked food" not subject to the steam table. As for selection, can't complain. If they offered something like crab legs it would be interesting. My only complaint is with the "seafood medley "on the buffet. Calamari, baby squid and shrimp cooked together and placed on the steam table results in overcooked shrimp that are mealy in texture. For the most part, a good value for your dollar. Food quality has vastly improved with the current owners. I like to dine in but my family likes to "grab and go", so there is something for everyone. The flavors are good and the service is good as well. Imagine a $7.99 lunch buffet -- what would you imagine for that price point? I wasn't expecting much before I came here. I thought "ok, it's $7.99, it's probably going to be comparable to an asian style Golden Corral". And for $7.99, the quality is decent and solid. (Just don't expect the quality of a $35 lunch buffet.. because Hibachi Grill Buffet costs a fraction of that) Food -- ummm.. so there's so much variety, I don't think any Yelper will be able to remember the entire lunch selection -- that's a challenge. My favorites were the fried shrimp and fried fish from the fried food selection, and hooo boy was there a huge variety of fried items. More favorites included the fried salmon and cream cheese roll, their fresh to order hibachi dishes, clams, mussels and salt&pepper shrimp. Steer clear of the crawfish -- it was cold, bland and very oddly cooked when I went. Service and ambience -- is this place new?? Because I was impressed at how clean the facility was for a $7.99 lunch buffet spot. The service was your average, run-of-the-mill asian buffet service. Our server was polite and quick to remove our plates and refill our drinks. The rows and rows of food items were quickly replaced when supply was running low. When the server was notified, he said the cockroach was out because they just sprayed pesticides and took the napkin with the cockroach away. It is Christmas night and my girlfriend had a craving for some chinese food, so we said Fuck It! And found the Hibachi Buffett. The Christmas price of the buffet was $11 and I would say it was worth it. As with all buffets the goal was not to have a single great food item, it was to satisfy all of our cravings with some average food. We enjoyed almost all of the food options we grabbed, I did not like the cheesy crab meat( I should have know better when I grabbed it ). They had a lot of great options, ranging from what you would expect chinese food as well as some average american food. We came on a Wednesday at 8 pm and it was pretty busy, almost half of the seats were taken. The atmosphere was nice with some good music playing in background. read more

This place was great. Great fresh food, variety of choices, family friendly. I took my eldest son for his birthday because be wanted hibachi. Couple things yiu want to know. If your squeamish about the head being on seafood, this may not be your place. For example crayfish, shrimp, and soft crap have their head attached. My son loved it. As you guest, I didn't eat the seafood with the head attached but their were plenty of other options. Please bring cash to tip the sushi and hibachi bar. read more

Came here with my club for an AYCE sushi outing. It is Americanized Chinese food. They have the usual fried rice, chow mein, sesame chicken, etc. They also have like every type of food you can think of, not necessarily Asian foods. Etc: Fries, Onion Rings, Pizza, etc. They have a hibachi in the back which I did not get food from. They have a decent sized variety of sushi and I enjoyed it. We have been eating at Hibachi Buffet almost every Sunday for the past 4 years. At first, the price was about $16 then they raised it to $21 and started featuring snow crab legs. That was awesome. The quality of the legs was very good and big clusters would be delivered to the steam table regularly. Then, things changed. The quality of the legs got bad. One or two legs connected at most, never clusters. Very watery. Some with black spots. Ugh. Been that way for about a year now. The food is otherwise good. The chicken wings, bbq chicken, fried dough, crawfish and fruit are my favorites. The fruit is good especially when they have strawberries. Problem is, most of the customers are not from the USA and dont understand how kids should behave in a restaurant and they are not in control of their kids and these little monsters run all over the place, scream, jump on chairs and even put their hands in the food on the buffet and no one seems to care!!! Last week I yelled at a father who let his kid feel the strawberries in the serving line. OMG!!! Third world people just dont discipline their kids. I'm going to be very honest in this review. The food was pretty good but there was kids touching the food, coughing all around the food. Some kids were pinching at the jello and their parents seemed to not be around to stop it. As soon as I sat down the entire area smelled like pee which steered me away from wanting to enjoy my food. It's almost like they expect people to try leaving without paying so they watch your table and never leave your section. As soon as you get up they are right there watching your every move. The restaurant was clean and well lit. The food was ok small selection but flavorful. The services was abysmal. While were were actively chewing on our food the waitress walks over to us and shouts "you done" while holding out the bill. We told her we are still eating and she stormed away. At this point we may have been there for 35/40 minutes. Were were on first plate and in the middle of a conversation. My friend had just put in an order for hibachi that wasn't even ready yet.The waitress then started a bunch of passive aggressive tactics to get us to leave. First she started shuffling the chairs only at the EMPTY table next to ours. This table has been empty before we got there and nobody ever sat there. She then began sweeping at that empty table and then by our feet. She swept nowhere else but right next to the table they keep the drinks. At that table she and a coworker stood and started at us. They then moved to the same table directly next to us where they continued to stare at us. Maybe 20 minutes has passed we are working on a new plate and talking, trying to mind our business as we're are being harassed by the employees, she gives up on passive aggressiveness. She brings the bill to our table slaps it down and say thank you and then she leaves. She did all of this and never filled my friends cup and only refilled mine when I absentmindedly put it at the end of the table. About 10 minutes later we've finally had enough of the passive aggressiveness and try to pay. All of a sudden the waitress is to busy to come to the table but continues to walk back and forth past our table. After 15 mins of trying to settle the bill we walk up to the front to pay, she walks over with two other peoples bills to close them out and stares at us over the shoulder of the guy in the front. He helped us and we put in a complaint. This is a level of disrespect that I haven't witness in a long time. read more

4.5 star average on Yelp? What the heck? Did I go to the wrong place? A few trips later, I am convinced that I: 1) didn't go to the wrong place 2) didn't simply catch this restaurant on a bad night. Hibachi Buffet is what you can expect from Chinese buffets in Metro Atlanta, and many other places. Long gone are the days where we see snow crab legs, raw oysters, and other fancy things on the buffet. With a corresponding low price, you also can't reasonably expect these things. I applaud the restaurant's adaptation to our current environment, and I applaud the residents of Brookhaven for adhering to the store's regulations. Mask up when walking around and wear gloves that they provide when handling the buffet scoops. So what's with the 2 star rating? The fact is that the food is simply not very good. Even for a buffet, the food is simply lacking. The basic potato/corn starch dusted chicken dishes with super sugary sauces didn't even provide the satisfaction that they usually provide. I honestly approached this place with the utmost optimism. I'm really struggling to understand why it's so bad yet rated so highly. read more

I'll go all in with the folks who give this place a good rating. It's your basic Asian buffet, nothing more, except that, well... it's better than most I've ever tried. I sampled: - really good hot and sour soup - really good pan-fried potstickers - good chicken thigh on a skewer - good stir-fried chicken bites with onion (maybe other veggies, also, but lots of onion) - They are a little light on veggie offerings, but I plucked some great broccoli florets from the beef and broccoli. - standard white mushrooms in a brown sauce, good - fried rice - shrimp spaghetti, in an (I guess) alfredo sauce, good Nothing I tried was bad; everything I tried was good. I mean good enough that I wanted to keep eating; had to make myself stop. Great place to go if you've been a little too busy to eat much and thereby gotten yourself very hungry. In walking by the seafood, something smelled a little "strong" which caused some concern in my selection of those entrees. I tried some of their cooked sushi which appeared fresh, but our grocery store makes comparable sushi. It was ok. To be clear, absolutely nothing caused any digestive issues. The restaurant itself is immaculately clean- very good sign, and most of the items seemed to be fresh/recently replaced though we came towards the end of lunch. They have a row of sushi- not the best, but tasty, basic rolls that will satisfy a craving. The hibachi had a great selection of proteins (shrimp, chicken, beef, crab stick), veggies, rice/noodles, sauce bar...Simply fill a plate up and give it to the chef to cook up. Hot food was pretty good, too. Nothing I had was straight up bad, but some were better than others. My favorite items were the sesame chicken, baked whitefish and salmon, crab rangoons. Pretty standard selection of hot foods, fried foods, "American" foods, salad bar, dessert bar. I did see on my way out that they had $5.99/lb to go for hibachi which is such a steal. Located near the middle of a huge plaza, so easy and plentiful parking. No complaints on service- empty plates taken away and water refilled frequently. I decided to try this place today, Monday, at 12pm. I assumed this would be a great time since they open at 11am. Totally didn't think of the lunch crowd. Place was full of construction and landscapers. The hostess was extremely rude and sat everyone close together. He threw the silverware on the table. My server didn't speak any English. I tried the sesame chicken, hot wings, lo mein, fried rice, black pepper chicken, fried donuts, fries, and more. The only thing I liked was the fried rice and black pepper chicken. This restaurant used to be named king buffet. King Buffet closed for renovation and recently re-opened under the name hibachi grill buffet . I'm not sure if it's new management are the same management. The new restaurant is bright, Beautiful, clean and very Spacious. When I first walked in theirs as a Beautiful fountain and a host standing to greet me in and take me to the table . After taking my drink order I was told to head to the bar and start my lunch. Everything was sectioned off into categories . All the meats and proteins were together, Fried foods, veggies and traditional Chinese favorites. I'm a big sushi fan so I was a bit disappointed with the selection but I understand it was lunch time so I'll have to come back at dinner to speak on the Selection. I did have the basic sushi California roll and spicy tuna roll and they were just that , basic. My favorite item was the baked whitefish which appeared to be and Taste like Swai . It was delicious , moist and well seasoned. They had the hibachi going and the chef was able to handle the Crowd as quickly as people were putting plates to be cooked he was taking plates off ready for pick up . I didn't order any hibachi but did take a look at the finished plates and they wasn't burned . My waitress wasn't very attentive I could leave and go to the bar and come back and my same dirty plates was still on the table. When it was time for me to go I didn't know where to pay so I walked to the front and stood in front of the lady for about three minutes asking who to pay before she addressed to me. Her English wasn't very good and she couldn't understand that I wanted to pay but by this time the waitress was coming behind me with my ticket. So would I go back? YES, I want to experience this restaurant at dinner time. Was the food good ? Some items were very good ( baked fish) and some could have been better ( crawfish) but nothing was awful . I was a little skeptical of this place, mainly because I am not too much of a buffet person. I was pleasantly surprised. The dinner buffet was 11.99 without a drink. The place is large and has plenty of food. In the back, they have a sushi station and a hibachi grill station. Sushi is pre made but was decent. The hibachi station allowed you to select your meats and veggies then give it to the hibachi cook. Overall both were decent to good. The buffet food consistent of a lot of seafood options as well and various meats. The one thing I noticed that I didn't mind but could see be an issue, was most seafood items seemed to be cooked with jalapeños. They had a very good dessert section. A cooler with ice cream scooping. Another station has some cakes, banana pudding and some fruits. Overall the meal was good for $12. The quality of food was what you would expect. Found this gem while searching for a place to eat online. They have only been open one month. Go now ! Word is going to get out and we may have to wait in line in the near future. Food was visually appealing,fresh and tasty. Lots of seafood items, sushi, meats - I could go on and on. Ice creams. Desert bar with coconut macaroons, vanilla genoise jellyroll, jellos, and more. This is a re-evaluation. 2 years later. Bcz of Covid, this buffet has struggled to stay open. It's still a remarkable value, but the food choices have gone down by 35 to 40 percent. And the owners don't come up with new choices. The sushi is not good. The chicken wings and other chicken dishes are over cooked. The do your own hibachi is okay. I think they should add new and different choices. With inflation, they must be struggling to stay open, and I hope they do, but Omicron dealt them a bad blow. All things being equal, you won't find many buffets at this price point, and you get volume, but mediocre and unchanging food. read more

I do love eating 'authentic' Chinese food (however you want to define that), but I'm also a believer that Chinese American food, aka Americanized Chinese food, is delicious and needs its own separate category. Enter Hibachi Buffet. It's called Hibachi bc there's a hibachi part in the back, and it's part of the buffet. This place has all your go-to Chinese American food item, as well as nostalgic American elementary school items (pizza that tastes like Tombstone, Mac and cheese, mashed potato that is more flake than potato). There are also crab, shrimp, and crawfish, along with sushi bar and dessert. Don't waste your stomach space with the sushi. Dinner prices are cheaper than Golden Corale. Service is prompt. Plates are small so you don't feel as disgusting even though you keep eating. Take outs also available (I believe $3.99/pound). One star docked because they have some problematic sculpture art up by the cashier. read more
