    Spicy Chicken Teriyaki Bowl
    Corri P.

The spicy teriyaki chicken was very fresh with just the right amount of heat and sweetness. The vegetables were all fresh and the brown rice. I ordered the junior size bowl as a combo which was just the right amount of food. The chicken egg roll was tasty but nothing special. The sauce that comes with it is a little sugary for my taste and I would have preferred a sweet and sour sauce, but overall it was good. The staff was very helpful and this location was very clean. They stayed busy with carry out orders but there were not other people eating in the restaurant for dinner. This location was convenient across from the Hampton Inn. I will definitely try Teriyaki Madness again when I am home.

This is a newish restaurant in our area, and honestly.. I was a little skeptical at first. However, I'm glad I stopped by to try it out. Originally y got the 'steak' teriyaki bowl... (but I got the chicken instead). It was really good, tender and juicy. Since then, I've been back a couple of times to try different menu items, and they all have been great. The place is small inside, but most people come take it to go, so there's no issues within finding seats. The staff has been extremely nice and always helpful. This has become one of my go-to's in Decatur. And if you know Decatur... you know we have many different options. This is definitely a great option!

Chicken Teriyaki Bowl was amazing--fresh food and top-tier service. Highly recommend!

Chicken Teriyaki Bowl was absolutely top-tier--fresh, flavorful, and executed with excellence. The service? Next-level amazing. If you're looking for quality food and standout customer care, this spot is a must-visit.

Pick Two Protein Bowl- Large Size Only-chicken breast and salmon teriyaki

Son and I came for a Monday dinner. Most people were carrying out, so we were the only ones in the nine table dining area which was really clean. We ordered the pick two protein bowl, chicken breast teriyaki and salmon teriyaki with white rice and veggies. There are three bowl sizes. The food is made fresh to order and it was enjoyed by both of us! Bring in your parking pass from the attached parking deck so you can get a sticker for free parking to put on it. You can enter the parking deck either from Claremont Ave just south of the store or on Commerce Dr where the Bank of America is located. We will definitely be back for a healthy post workout meal!

Super yummmmm. Very flexible, and coached me thru a change I wanted and how to best make that happen. It took a little time, but sooo well worth it !

    Spicy tofu and brown rice.

Decatur Rd. at a very busy intersection, it sits tucked into a tiny shopping center, blink and you will drive right past it. Parking is limited, and you can immediately tell the small lot fills up fast, especially during peak hours. I stumbled upon Tenya while in town on a Tuesday, scrolling Yelp in search of a solid lunch spot, and I'm glad I did. This is a family-owned Japanese eatery that specializes in comfort food, and according to their website, everything is made from scratch, which absolutely shows in the quality. I placed my order online and picked it up with ease. I ordered the Shrimp Saku Saku appetizer along with a fresh garden Tenya salad. The shrimp were excellent, perfectly crispy with a flavorful panko coating that didn't feel heavy or greasy. The salad was impressively fresh and came with their house-made ginger dressing, which paired beautifully with the crisp greens and added just the right balance of sweetness and tang. Inside, the restaurant is quaint and cozy, with a decent amount of seating for its size. The customer service was warm and welcoming; the lady at the counter greeted me kindly and had my order ready shortly after I arrived, making the pickup process smooth and pleasant. A nice bonus is the selection of packaged Japanese snacks and drinks available at the counter, always a fun touch and something you don't see everywhere. Next time, I plan to dine in and explore more of the menu, along with sampling some of those snacks and drinks. Tenya is a great example of simple, thoughtfully prepared food done right. I'll definitely be back.

They make everything fresh, took about 15 minutes to get my order. The Sando was sooo good! Chicken was freshly fried, the cucumbers gave it a nice crunch and the sauce was good. The fries didn't have enough of the seaweed, IMO, just tasted like regular fries. I didn't care for the sauce that the fries came with...it was like a sweet soy sauce, just didn't hit. Overall, the sandwich was great, and a nice size. I will be back to try more of their menu items.

I parked on the side of a building and got out and walked. Yall! Maps took me all over the block! I got my steps in that day but it's a lot of eateries so plenty to choose from. Oh, and I enjoyed the graffiti. Just as I was about to give up, I walked by two guys and one of them said, "You look hungry. You must be looking for the noodle spot". He said that people overlook it all the time. I had walked right by the restaurant multiple times. It's seems it's several restaurants share the same space so that confuses a lot of people. Also, the sign that says "Lifting Noodles" indicating you are in the right place was lying on the ground so I missed it. The restaurant is all the way in the back. I was greeted immediately and directed to place my order via a kiosk which I did. I ordered the Angry Zuko Ramen to go. They do have tables if you want to eat there. The wait was not long at all...maybe 5 minutes. The broth was really tasty and flavorful and had a nice kick to it. The meal is already spicy and when I ordered, there was a "make it spicy" option which I checked. So I'm not sure if by checking that option, it made it even more spicy than how it normally is or not. My only complaint is there was not enough meat and the egg tasted funny.. it had a sweet taste to it. Next time, I'll request more meat and no egg.

Most Thai places I've been to serve this with a tad bit more lettuce however it would probably become mushy when ordering for delivery. It's super flavorful. The drunken noodles are solid as well. I honestly haven't had anything from here that I didn't enjoy, however sometimes the pad Thai can be a bit greasy. On my latest delivery, they also included a little brownie complimentary which I found to be very thoughtful. I hope this place sticks around! (Wherever it is lol)

I love Downtown Decatur even though I don't get over here often. The ambiance was charming with hints of Thailand throughout and tables to seat maybe 50-60 people. As usual, there's traffic for to-go orders but most were coming in to dine in for a while. Our group was a party of 7 and the service was delightful. They explained menu options, drinks and even dessert. We started with cocktails, appetizers and finally our entree. We brought birthday cake so didn't order dessert this visit. My Red Sangria was delicious and a generous pour with fresh fruit. I had the soup for a starter and my usual - Pad Thai noodles for my dinner. The experience was very nice however there were some misses - the steamed dumplings were rather dry. Flavors for the curry didn't have a rich coconut flavor. The breezeway from the door (just a curtain) created a chill in the room but it wasn't too bad. Parking: There's limited street parking and the lots are rather pricey. It was busier than usual--probably thanks to the holiday--but the atmosphere was still fantastic, as always. The service was impeccable--attentive, warm, and full of great suggestions. I ordered the chicken okonomiyaki, a miso soup, and, after my last time's mistake, just one negroni--because, wow, that drink hit like a Mike Tyson punch the first time. The miso soup was, as always, a comforting classic--those little tofu cubes floating in that warm broth are just perfect. But the star was the chicken okonomiyaki. I only got the small one, but the flavor was out of this world. The chicken was so unbelievably tender--like, the A5 wagyu of chicken. I can still taste it days later--it was that good. I can already see it becoming my go-to, though I might go bigger next time, depending on my appetite. One of my favorite things is that OK Yaki keeps the kitchen open super late--especially handy on a Saturday night. If you're reading this and you're on the fence--don't second-guess yourself. Get in there, soak in the vibe, and treat yourself to some of the best food around. I can't wait to go back!

Just to be clear this is not a spot you would go to watch a game or bring a large party so don't do that lol. The parking lot that they have is very small so keep that in mind. You can see signs that point to around the neighborhood, which is around the corner. It's in a strip mall so it shares a lot with a few other places. It's not surprising that the lot is going to be full of homeless people if you try to go. When you come in, you have to wait until you're seated and once you get greeted it's usually pretty cool. Everybody else is pretty friendly and they keep coming up to the table to make sure you're good. Well that was my first time experience at least. Handmade gyoza - the gyoza was really good and it had a very savory flavor and taste to it. It felt like they were very fresh and they filled them to the brim and you could taste it. I got the pork ones because I wasn't getting tofu lol and they were really really good and I would actually go back for those when I go back. Okonomiyaki - this one is a weird one so it's a pancake type of situation but it's more cabbage than pancake. I'm not sure how I feel about it but it wasn't terrible but it wasn't really good either. Now I will say that the fact that what sent this over was all the sauces that they put on it. I'm not sure what the brown sauce was but at the same time I know that the mayo was basically drenching it as well. You can get one topping on there and the selected topping was steak. The flavor of the sauces and the steak pretty much carried the pancake because it didn't have a lot on its own. I am glad I tried it but I probably would not rush back for this. Karaage - it's fried chicken. It's not like it's anything earth-changing or somebody's auntie or grandma making it but it was pretty decent fried chicken. It came with mayo that you can dip it in but it wasn't anything life changing to me. Japanese curry (steak) - the Japanese curry was good but it was just curry. It wasn't anything that I couldn't get anywhere else at another type of restaurant but it was good and it was savory and it gave me exactly what I needed. When I ordered curry it came with rice, which was also nice that you could use as part of the meal as well, but it was just pretty good curry. Just if you need options... It comes in vegetarian if you want to do that because they have a tofu version as well but I didn't get that at all LOL! Overall I would give this another go but it wasn't a complete five star thing for me. It wasn't bad but at the same time it wasn't life-changing. I'd have to try a couple more things just to make sure. It was worth my time and effort and it will be worth my time to give it another go when I go on that side of town.
