The variety is terrific! Sushi, ice cream, salad, fruit, soup, even two tables are primarily American dishes and a full table of desserts . Food is always hot and continuously refreshed. The place is huge, very comfortable. It's not loud and noisy. It's just a wonderful place every which way I can think of including the pricing. read more

We went there for New Years Eve, I couldn't believe how dead it was. We were a party of 7. Hardly any food in those trays and they weren't filling them either. I'm vegetarian, they usually have more food choices. I ate the noodles, I had 2 small eclairs. Bill came and I paid without paying attention to why it was high. I called the next day, I was told that the tip was included, it didn't say anything about a tip and I tipped her on top of what they charged me for a tip. So, no wonder why the waitress was dancing. My daughter and I came to this place about 3 time and it was nice service was ok food was fresh. Tonight we went and it was a little different they charged my child as an adult and I said something about it the guy at the checkout counter was so rude and disrespectful. He told me because she was tall she was considered as an adult. Started yelling if I didn't pay now he was going to call the police on me. I'm like I'm going to pay but he was still being rude . I walked away and he pulled out his phone started recording me nd my daughter yelling at us he is going to call the police because we didn't pay. So I walked back to the counter and paid he would not give me my card back I had to take it back then he said I had to sign before getting my card back I took the receipt and walked outside. I was disappointed. I called first because an article I read said they were going to be open and offering Thanksgiving buffet. When I called asked if they were serving traditional Thanksgiving food on the buffet. They said yes. We get there today the only thing Thanksgiving was the mashed potatoes and turkey with gravy. Everything else Thanksgiving was missing. It made it very disappointing. But on the bright side their normal fare was really good. Their crab Rangoon was the best I've ever eaten my entire life and I'm in my 60's. I'd go back to make a meal of the crab Rangoon alone. read more

Recently driving past MD Oriental market, a huge Asian supermarket in Pinellas Park, I stopped to browse. It was lunchtime. I was tempted to eat at their lunch counter however I preferred a sit down restaurant so I considered Hibichi Buffet next door. I stopped two women about to enter who said they eat there often and it was good. Upon entering I saw a table of older Asian women and a few Asian men scattered throughout. I thought that's a good sign. It wasn't. My experience didn't match their recommendation. This place looked similar to "Chop Sticks," in Countryside, Clearwater. In reality this wasn't even a close consideration. Every item I chose from the buffet lacked flavor, and freshness, or it was over cooked or fried beyond recognition. Even the almond cookie lacked flavor. I mean, come on. I would suggest they "step it up," due to competition. A premade sandwich from 7-11 would be considered competition. I passed on the fortune cookie. No pics necessary. Total check $10. At this point, McDonalds was looking more like a gourmet restaurant. read more

I went to eat with my wife, it was 9:15 pm, when I went to take the plate, all the employees were looking at us as if they wanted us not to be there, we started to eat and the food was completely cold and they were already cleaning and collecting all the food I tell them and they start to laugh and they bring me the check anyway I don't recommend this place it's a fatal waste of money and the staff doesn't serve they should close clean and pick up when there are no customers. I thought everything I tasted was very good. The oysters were excellent as was the hot and cold mussels. I was really happy when I saw chicken feet on the buffet as I have never seen it on another buffet. The sushi was fresh as was everything else I tasted. There was so many choices I couldn't possibly try them all, I never got to the hibachi and many of the other Chinese dishes. Soggy and a mess inside, they were a big disappointment. The Crab Rangoon was also greasy, but fully stuffed compared to other Chinese food restaurants in the area, so not too bad. Finally, the spring rolls were all roll. 4Xs as thick as an normal spring roll, with little to no stuffing inside it. Those were the worst of the whole order. Great food, with a large selection! Loved the crawfish, muscles, and shrimp. The sushi was fresh and delicious. There was blue crab, but it's battered and fried, which made it difficult to eat. The staff was friendly and removed empty plates promptly. Our drinks were refilled whenever they got low. My kids loved the food as well! We will be returning for sure. read more

It was more like 1 star, but giving it 2 because there was a huge variety and sometimes you just don't know what you want. However, I didn't find any notable items or even any one thing I thought was delicious...so we will be moving on to try other restaurants. The place was clean, the food trays were kept hot for the most part, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I've never wanted to give someone a negative review before. This is the first time. The atmosphere is terrible. I went with a group of my friends and as they went to seat us they sat us in the back of the restaurants. As I sat down and peeked around, it was all African Americans sitting in the back section, I was the only Caucasian since I was in the group. As I went up to grab my food I noticed all the other races sitting in the front. This is wrong on so many levels. Next all the food was cold. I asked this Chinese guy walking around like an ape or gorilla but he was no help. We each ate not even a full plate each and left. I have been taking my family to this restaurant to treat them since we moved to the area. It has always been pretty decent. Overpriced, but the family enjoyed it. Until the last visit... we had to dine late. We understood that there may be some items that weren't available an hour before closing time, but half the buffet was gone and nothing was refreshed. We accept it and make ourselves plates. We begin to eat and mop buckets full of bleach water are poured out in the serving area around all of the food. It was about 50 minutes until closing time! The bleach water could have possibly splashed up on the food! It created a very strong bleach odor throughout the restaurant and our eyes began burning. They didn't start mopping it up right away either. They just let it set there and evaporate into the area. They didn't even put out wet floor signs until my wife mentioned it to a worker who looked at her with disgust. We couldn't breathe and I asked for a manager because we had to leave. We couldn't eat! The manager brought us a bill for about $80! I told the young lady it should be free and she started yelling at me!!! She told me I can't eat for free. I told her we can't eat! We have to go somewhere else now. She began to haggle me down. 10%, 20%, 50%!!! I said FREE! NEVER AGAIN! I hope they shut this place down. read more

Props to this place for being open late because nothing else is open past nine here, so I would definitely stop by here if you're feeling hungry at this time of night. Ok so the food is amazing! It's not cold at all and usually the fruit is sweet. However I think hibachi has changed a lot over years. No shrimp till after 4, and no more choclate fountain, however that's not the problem. The problem is the workers , not all of them but a good example is the manager. We had mixed feelings about eating here since reviews seem to be split. We arrived on a Friday night, around 7pm or so. It was pretty busy actually, so it appears many people like the place. In typical buffet fashion, you find yourself fighting for position at times and trying not to intentionally trip the inconsiderate fool who cuts right in front of you as if they were going to run out of food...and the Sun was about to go Supernova and destroy the Earth. There are 2 ways to go about this...the buffet and/or the Hot Grill/Hibachi. I started with the buffet, sampling Krab Rangoon, and I meant to use the "K", dumplings, Mandarin Pork, General Tso's Chicken. The KRAB Rangoon is very much the essence of fake Krab, too much fake Krab flavor. The dumplings fared better, not too bad actually. The Mandarin Pork was from a flavor standpoint good, but the quality of meat was poor. It was very much the cheap cuts, fatty, gristle. The General Tso's chicken was ok, just not great. Now we all agreed that due to the amount of people grazing, they were keeping the selections coming out and were pretty fresh overall. The Hot Grill. NOW we're in to the much better area. This is the place you pile all the raw ingredients you want on to a plate, meat, veggies, noodles, and then a guy cooks them up for you, NICE AND HOT AND FRESH! They give you 6 sauce options. And this was much much better. I think, if I went back, I would probably just stick to this and the dumplings. There is a massive fruit and salad world as well as a Sushi bar Service was ok, we had nice older lady taking care of our drinks, I won't quibble too much, I think she was slammed with a lot of tables, trying to get drink orders for parties and smaller tables like ours. I honestly don't get uppity about little things, I don't sit there with a stop watch timing the poor gal and she hosed if she doesn't get my drink refilled fast enough-no, I'm not about that garbage. But we got refills and all was well. The staff were very friendly. No complaints. No, I did not visit the bathroom, which, as you know, is a very very good indicator of how clean the rest of the place is-if you walk in and it looks like an extension of the buffet...that's not buffet...and you need to leave...rapidly. So, I believe this place to be clean and safe from everything I else I saw. The atmosphere was plain, I guess. Nothing fancy, or contemporary. It felt like those buffet joints I remember as kid that fed all the senior citizens, like cattle. You know, you're kinda standing there going is there a salisbury steak combo? We were not impressed. Nothing we got was hot. Not even warm. There were a lot of choices. I chose a large crab, and when I cracked it, the insides were nothing but the gushy stuff and the claws had dried out meat. The chicken wings and the egg foo young were very good. Boneless ribs and the crab Rangoon was good, but these would have tasted better warm. We were there at 6:30 on a Saturday night, you'd think things would be replaced with hot items. They have a great selection and the quality and freshness are the best in the area now that Chop Sticks has closed RIP. Favorite Restaurant Gone Bad!!! I recently went to Hibachi Buffet with 2 colleagues for late lunch. Ive dined at this establishment for years now and its one of my favorite restaurants to go to in the area. Due to Coronavirus there were at most 3 other tables with paying customers. We were seated and our drink orders were taken by the waitress. When she returned she informed us that there was a 10% charge that would be automatically added to our bill at the end that would cover their "Tip". I asked her if this was a city law or only thiers business. She's said it was only thiers business that did it and went on to tell the entire table that I did not leave a tip the last time I was there making it a me situation instead of a business situation. As humiliated as I was I heard her out and my colleagues and I gracefully left the establishment in disbelief. Honestly I have never been so embarrassed especially since I tip every time I have been there. You would think that an empty restaurant would encourage patrons verses insult and humiliate them.
