Found a winner here!! Delivery was a lot faster than expected. Food was warm with generous portions and more importantly, delicious. Prices reasonable. We found a keeper! Spring rolls were delicious and not one would usually find at a Chinese restaurant. Soup tasty with excellent texture. Shrimp and snow peas with generous sized shrimp and correctly cooked vegetables including water chestnut and bamboo resulting in perfect taste. Sesame chicken not over cooked! I was a bit under the weather and nothing cures me quicker than a heaping portion of some spicy Kung Pao Chicken. As I frequently drive on Ulmerton, occasionally I noticed a very cryptic sign on side of the road that simply said "Chinese Restaurant." So, I decided to check it out today. Here are my ratings: Quality of food: Bad. I have eaten Kung Pao chicken at a lot of takeout Chinese places. This was probably the worst one I have ever had. There were 2 tiny pieces of chicken, a huge pile of mushy mushrooms, and the sauce had no flavor. The egg roll was extremely greasy. I also like putting chili oil on my rice but since what I got was mostly oil and not any chili, that didn't help either. Decor: Sad and depressing! First of all, they don't have any air conditioning. You can imagine how miserable it gets when eating hot food and having no a/c. There is one dirty and sad looking table fan blowing hot air throughout the room. To sit, they have booths with rips on the seat and foam spilling out. There was all kinds of random newspaper and kids toys on most of the tables. Cleanliness: Questionable. I had to use the restroom and the kind of black and dirty walls that I saw along the way makes me wonder how clean their kitchen is. The toilet had no paper towels and no soap. Service: Poor. They seemed to be very picky on who to be nice to. To some customers, the cashier/owner would smile and be cheerful while taking their orders. To others, they would look at them like they had no business being in the restaurant. Speed of food preparation: Medium. The food did come out within 10 minutes of placing my order. Price: Comparative to other Chinese takeouts. I paid about $7 for my entree that came with soda. The quality of food, however, was far from being comparable to other takeouts. I do not recommend New China Beach. The depressing decor, very dirty bathroom, no air conditioning....all of that could be forgiven if the food was good. But, it wasn't and completely lacked in flavor and quality. I will not be back! read more

Food was excellent, I'm glad I was able to find it! Location is off in the cut in a little strip mall area that looks closed! The service very friendly, and the wings were cooked just the way I like it, hard! You can eat in, but it feels more like a large takeout or delivery place. Definitely will return! read more

At lunchtime on a Sunday workday I went on the hunt for an open Chinese take-out spot. I found New China Beach tucked in the corner of an industrial shopping plaza and actually thought it had permanently closed. It was actually in the extreme corner, literally a hole in the wall, next to a space for rent. If you love hole in the wall Chinese takeout, this place is as good as any other I've had and the interior looks the same. Of course the owner, who took my order, was very pleasant and polite. The wait for my shrimp chow mei fun wasn't long, and they gave me a complimentary can of soda on my way out! New York style take out. We've order take out several times because it's nearby. Recently we've been getting delivery via Yelp Eat24. Even better! If they had a key to my house I wouldn't even have to get off the couch. I've only ever had General Tso's Chicken and Holly has only ever had House Special Fried Rice w/ extra shrimp, so not a large breadth of experience, but those two dishes are consistently fresh and yummy. I went a little crazy last weekend and ordered Crab Rangoon. I know! Livin' on the edge. The crispy parts were crispy and the creamy parts were creamy. Delicious. The prices are very reasonable. You have to order enough food to feed 3 or 4 people to make the $15 minimum. The portions are enormous. One order of General Tso provides me with 3 meals. Highly recommended if you need to get your Tso on. read more

Worst place ever... I ordered from here earlier today thru GrubHub called to cancel the Order bc it had been a hour and half. The driver shows up with the food I told him I canceled the order. Driver didn't speak English so he gave me to food anyway. I'm at work while this is happening. The food was cold. The crab Rangoon was little to no filling. The egg drop soup was so thick and under cooked. Now they are calling my phone over and over harassing me. Went there today to grab a quick lunch. I order the chicken wings and an egg drop soup. Everything was amazing! Chicken wings were seasoned and fried perfectly, plus you get 10 wings for $5.95!! Originally chose New Cina Beach because it was the highest rated Chinese place near where I am working. I'm here from out of town and was wanting some good Chinese food before heading to the airport. Easy to find using Google Maps. The sign by the street just says Chinese Restaurant so don't miss it. The inside looks like most family owned Chinese restaurants - sparse decor with a couple of booths and several tables. Some art and food pictures on the walls. The order counter and the drink refrigerator rounded out the decor of the dining area. The menu had everything you would expect, but I ordered the Four Seasons from the chef specialty area. It came with beef, chicken, shrimp and pork (presumably the four seasons) mixed in their brown spicy sauce with broccoli, mushrooms, water chestnuts and some other vegetables. The dish was listed as spicy - just the right amount so as not be overwhelming. A very good dish. My particular order came with a free canned soda and white rice. I got a small hot and sour soup as a side. It was just how i like it - had a good strong tasste without overdoing it. Everything was very good. Overall, the food is excellent for a small, family owned restaurant. I will definitely come back the next time I am in town. read more

After taking an hour and half for my food to be delivered the food had no taste! I had to add seasoning and ample amounts of soy sauce to taste anything! I ordered medium spicy general tso which had no spice at all tasted almost like a bland orange chicken, beef chow mei fun again lacking flavor, egg drop soup and wonton soup tastes like water didn't even eat it. This is the best Chinese food I have had since moving to Florida from NY....Their soups are amazing. The egg drop is like silk. The wonton is delicious. I had the steamed dumplings and they were so good. The dumpling was so fine you could see through it....Their house special fried rice is a meal in itself.....The chicken in black bean sauce was delicious and full of flavor. I can't say enough about this place. I had the egg drop soup for breakfast the next day and it was as fresh as when it was just delivered...This one is on speed dial.....my expectations of Chinese food are set from Chinatown in New York City......and this little restaurant has met and exceeded those expectations....... read more

Waited over an hour and a half for delivery, and called to check on the order. Once I had given my information I was reprimanded and told to have some patience. It's been awhile since someone has made me figuratively lose my tongue. If you want to be respected as a person, don't order from here. It took another hour for our food to arrive. The food wasn't bad, but they did forget 2 items in our order. Honestly, the delivery guy was a really nice gentleman and I don't want to see anyone do poorly. Get rid of their front of house (the most unhappy woman to grace a telephone there is), remember the order in its entirety, and it could be good. read more
