    Pad see ew with tofu
    Meredith R.

With interest piqued by Yelp reviews, Imperial Palace was on my 'must try' list. In our estimation, the restaurant falls short of the Thai place down the road, and garners 3.5 stars. I thought BBQ ribs would be reminiscent of what we'd get in NY Chinese restaurants. My mistake. Overly saucy, somewhat fatty .... (Guess what leftovers my husband gets for dinner tomorrow night!) Pad see ew which we ordered with tofu, was fair. Bean curd was crisp (which is good) but bland. Noodles needed a dose of soy sauce and a sprinkling of sprouts. Tangy chicken was well received, even with its gummy sauce. Lastly, Imperial Palace's green curry was delicious. However... the beef was tough. A word about service: they need to step it up. Not once did anyone come by to fill our water glasses or inquire about the food. The owner asked if we need boxes, while we were still eating. "Yes, but not yet." Nonetheless, containers arrived on our already crowded table. As did the check. (They weren't closing for another forty five minutes and there were other customers enjoying their meals.) I wouldn't deter anyone from going to this family-owned business. Imperial Palace isn't bad, and their presentation -- if that means something -- is appealing. I however, will eat elsewhere.

We love this place! We have been twice recently for lunch. So tasty! Great and friendly service and just the right spice. This hidden gem in Hiram is worth the drive. Lunch special prices and serving sizes are excellent. Regular menu prices are a bit higher, but we have tried a lot and like it all! The nam sod was well flavored. The pad Thai was excellent. I had the sweet and sour with pineapple on our last visit and enjoyed every bite. My boyfriend got the spicy eggplant and loved it. The only thing that was so so was the house noodle soup which was a bit on the bland side. We have also had basil chicken, ginger and mushroom (delish).

Tried the shrimp pai Thai Beef soup. It was okay Pad Thai was sweet, added chili sauce so it could be hotter. I would have preferred it be hot. Overall it was better than the Chinese food.

I've been making regular stops. Lunch menu has some nice options. I've never had a bad meal. Today I showed up after 4. Dinner Menü. Ordered Pad See Ew. With chicken. Rice noodle dish with broccoli and carrots. Did not disappoint. If you bring kids, the children's menu is limited. The table next to me ordered chicken fingers, and found out they were out of fries. Fried rice was offered instead. Portions are twice what you can eat.

Terrific Thai food. Restaurant is convenient and service is good. My family and i go here often.

Not sure how I missed this place on Yelp before but I'm glad my partner found it. We wanted something different and Thai is definitely something we don't eat often in this area. I can say that probably has to do more with how picky my partner and I can be about our Thai food. We've been spoiled living in the city for years and having a lot of excellent Thai food choices. First, there is plenty of free parking. They do take takeout orders and it seemed like they were pretty busy just with takeout alone. All but 2 small tables were occupied when we arrived. We ordered crab rangoon as an appetizer. The sauce was sweet and fruity. I really enjoyed them. We shared dinner entrees or chicken pad Thai and chicken massaman. Both dishes were good but I preferred the massaman as did my partner. The Pad Thai was good but the creamy deliciousness of the massaman was just superior. My partner was slightly confused why there was no avocado in the massaman but he quickly got over it. Overall we were pleased with the meals. We left very full and will be back.

    To show what we ordered!

There was one sign that said open and another that said closed. Now given, this was 6:30pm in prime dinner service time on a Saturday. I got back in my car preparing to leave and an employee came and unlocked the door. (?) So I came to this area to eat here and went in warily. I was the only customer but within 10 minutes a group of three also came in. I had the Basil "Egg Rolls" which came with a sweet and spicy sauce. They were so fresh and good but I was a little taken aback by the texture of the roll that was a rice noodle type wrap. It was very sticky, clear and a little hard to eat. As I said, the flavors were excellent and very fresh. For the main course I had the Yellow Curry with chicken (side of jasmine rice). Excellent curry. My waitress was fine, but far from enthusiastic. A person at the table next to me ordered something off the menu (sticky rice dish) and the cooking staff said they did not know how to make it (even though it was in the menu). They reached some type of compromise and were seemingly satisfied. The music was a slow jazz type that did help the atmosphere. It's a small restaurant in a strip mall next to a Wing Stop. The food I had was great and this is what matters most to me. They do have better customer service than the nearby "Thai Mango" but do not match the other local Thai food and service of "Imperial Palace". It has tons of restaurant competition right in the same parking lot. It would be a great choice for an affordable lunch (5 specials) but there are maybe better choices for dinner.

I really don't know what happened here …read more.. Against our better judgement, a friend and I chose this place as a back-up option since our first choice was closing for lunch orders. Admittedly, I was skeptical when I saw the limited menu and some of the options (I LOVE Thai food and have had variations in many parts of the world). BUT I was encouraged to know there were at least two vegan entree options on the menu. No. Never again. Not at all. The spring rolls were the most minuscule versions I've ever had. The casing was weird, to say the least, and the flavor was barely there. We ordered a broccoli entree to share. Check out the photos for yourself. WHERE IS THE BROCCOLI?!? My friend's meal was BLAND. My meal was better but the peppers were almost raw. The BEST thing we had was the roti. ROTI. At a Thai restaurant. The absolute best thing on the menu was roti?! No meatless curry options with ample veggies. Not one rice dish, served with veggies. Lots of chicken ‍. Lots of fish oil ‍. Roti was the best thing we ate. And don't even bother with the purple rice. Absolutely disappointed. The server was kind although our 2nd order of roti went to the wrong table - they gladly accepted it with no questions asked - because she was conducting what looked like an interview in between checking on our table. If you've read my reviews you know anything less than 4-5 stars is RARE. I honestly don't understand what happened during my experience at this restaurant but definitely will not be returning.

I was craving some Thai food while in Cartersville and decided to make the trip over to Bangkok…read moreCabin. I almost missed the turn into the parking lot because it's so non-descript. This place was fantastic. They can make any dish vegan which works out well for me as I typically ask for vegan food when traveling to places that don't really understand what constitutes as vegetarian. I came here twice in one week because I was craving vegetables and protein so badly. I had the panang curry twice and it was incredible both times. The medium spicy is definitely the perfect amount of spice for someone who can handle spicy food but doesn't want it to take over the entire flavour. I also got the garlic and black pepper entree with rice included as a lunch for the next day and let me tell you, that was also so tasty. The serving size was quite large which ended up being perfect food how hungry I was. I'd highly recommend coming here if you love Thai food. It's a bit off the beaten path but worth the drive and with portion sizes this large, you don't even need to make lunch the next day.

Walking in, it literally feels like someone turned their house into a restaurant. Honestly, it's a cute and different concept, so I was still hopeful. Unfortunately, the food went downhill from there. The basil rolls were basically iceberg lettuce rolls. The Tom Kha soup was mid at best. The mushrooms tasted completely raw, like they were tossed into the hot broth right before it came to the table, while somehow the chicken had the opposite problem--it was overcooked, tough, and had almost no flavor. Then came the fried rice... absolutely not. The vegetables were HARD. Not slightly crunchy hard, like they had been chopped up and tossed into the rice without ever seeing a pan. And there was that same dry, overcooked chicken again. The papaya salad was okay. It was a little soggy, but I'll give credit where it's due: that level 3 spice was LEVEL 3. They definitely understood the assignment there. The chicken satay was overcooked too, although the flavor was actually good, so there was potential. The winners of the entire meal? The cream cheese rolls and egg rolls. Those were genuinely good and easily the best things we ordered. I really wanted to love this place, especially because I can appreciate the little house-turned-restaurant vibe, but when the appetizers are carrying the entire meal, we have a problem. Unfortunately, I don't see us coming back.
