This establishment, nestled in a plaza of shops can be easy to miss. The food is substandard and the portions are heavy on the rice but lacking with vegetables and protein. I say this as my brother actually said that he had lost his appetite due to the flavor of the food. And he's a guy - so not that hard to please. I- having more of a foodie palate - fully agree with him and his take on the food served by this restaurant. It was also noted, disappointingly, that we were not immediately greeted, we had to seat ourselves, and we had to grab our own menus. Why is this a dine in restaurant? Ok so don't go for the pho. Pho is Vietnamese and the Thai version, if you wanna call it that, is called kwaitiyo. But the other other TRADITIONAL Thai staples are done pretty well here. The pad thai was actually good consistency and taste. Don't play with the spice levels though. My husband is Thai and that Thai hot messed him up. He grew up on Thai hot. I personally love the panang curry but there's a veg in there I don't recognize or care for. I assume it's a gourd of some type. The fish cake is done well. The Thai fried rice is also done well. The food is absolutely amazing. I had the Pad Woon Sen with chicken at the #3 spice level. The dish was really good. I think this could be an amazing restaurant but the service leaves a lot to be desired. When I came in, only 2 tables were occupied. Once group of four was finishing up and a couple were in the process of ordering. The lady was pleasant enough and the drink was brought quickly. That's about it for service though. A guy came back to my table with the finished dish and that was all. Never had anyone to ask for a drink refill and never had anyone bring the bill. I went to the register was told a total and was pointed to the card reader. I said cash and got a funny look. Strange. I paid in cash and left a cash tip that was too generous for the service offered. It is quite apparent that this restaurant does a high volume of take out orders. That's great if you live in Hiram but I don't. So ordering out, this place is great for pickup even though the little shopping center they are in has a small, very active lot that is one way in, one way out. We were craving Thai food and stopped by around 4pm. The restaurant was really busy but only one person was serving. They took way too much orders more than they can handle. Our waiter didn't greet us and he didn't come to take our orders. He also took orders from takeout customers even though we were there before them. I placed 3 orders through Door Dash for me, my mom, and dad. I got the Thai fried rice with salmon (Thai spicy heat level), Thai fried rice with chicken (medium hot heat level), and pepper steak with fried rice. I also ordered veggie spring rolls. Everything was amazing! First let's talk about how the food was still hot upon arrival which was surprising. Everything was seasoned perfectly and probably some of the best Thai I've had in a while. First visit to Thai Mango. I have lived in China and in Thailand and was excited to try this place. I tried the Pad Woon Sen. It was ok, really had no flavor. They state their spice level goes from 1 to 5. I tried a 3. Couldn't tell if the food had any spice at all. The service is good; it's a very laid back atmosphere which I like. The one thing that hit me wrong was I was asked to pay up front, not a real issue I thought. Then I watched about 7 people after me pay when they finished eating! This hit me with a bad attitude! I think it's fair to say I wouldn't go back due to no taste in the food and because I was told to pay up front, so giving them a 3 star rating is definitely what's deserved. read more

We stopped at Thai Mango on a whim and based on the feedback of other Yelpers. We ordered some things to sample while we waited for our to go order. First Tom Yum soup with seafood level 3 spice. It is a quart of soup!! We ate it all. We also got an appetizer platter which comes with 2 spring rolls (yum), 2 potstickers/dumplings (kind of doughy), 2 shrimp fingers (tasty), 2 curry puffs and 2 wings. We ordered nam sod, drunken noodles with shrimp, yellow curry with beef and drunken noodles with chicken to go. The portion of nam sod seemed small for the price. But it was tasty. I could take or leave the drunken noodles to be honest. It was fine. Nothing special and nothing I would order again. My boyfriend had the yellow curry. It was fine, but not spectacular. I ventured to this establishment during the week around 1pm. I called my food in 30 minutes before I arrived. Once I arrived, I was told my order was not entered into the system and I had to wait. While waiting, I witnessed some concerning events. Another customer waiting who had called in a large order was asked to wait as well. She stated several times that she had been waiting for over an hour. She wrote on her receipt that the tip was only for the host who was taking orders as he was polite and was working to provide correct orders. One of the workers read the receipt and loudly stated so everyone in the restaurant could hear " who writes a tip only for one person "? I was appalled by this display of disrespect. The customer replied "it was me". Also, while waiting, customers came in and were not greeted for at least 10 minutes so they left. Another table went to pay and stated they were waiting for 30 minutes and still hadn't received their check. The customer was very frustrated as we all were. The host came out with my order. It was the wrong order. They again had to go back and make my order which was only fried rice with shimp and a cheesecake. I eventually received my order 30 minutes after I arrived. I then left. I was in totally disbelief of the customer service that was displayed. The manager did apologize to everyone but that was the extent of him correcting the issues. I did like my meal that I ordered. Coming from So Cal, I'm used to having lots of food variety and Thai Mango does an excellent job of serving authentic and delicious Thai food. Hubby and I were very pleased and enjoyed the food and I'm giving a special nod to the owner as she went around to a few tables inquiring of the guests on if they were enjoying their food! Ours was to go. The spring rolls were delicious, but pricey for only 2 and I couldn't eaten the entire dish of Thai Basil Rice! We've since returned twice and have enjoyed our meals. read more

Although the food is not bad, the service and the dishes have have been reduced in quality after the change in ownership and management. Now don't get me wrong, the food is still in the upper echelon of Thai cuisine restaurants but they are no longer the best in the area. The biggest reason that I have sought out other Thai restaurants is mainly because of the difficulty in getting the food. It's difficult to order, hard to get through on the phone, the website is out of date, and even their pay system is down sometimes requiring cash payments. Update to last review (today's visit Jan 2, 2019 between 1 and 2pm). Wife and I came in today and while good was good, service was very very slow and disorganized. The two servers we are used to were not here, 2 new female servers were here and while they were polite the service was very slow, disorganized and almost frenzied. My hot tea came out so long before our food that it was cold when I finally ate. Also, the spring road was ok flavored but very hard and not so fresh tasting. Kind of a let down after so many visits. While I would like to keep it a 5 star review, I must in all fairness lower my review a star for the slow service. We still recommend and will be back as this hopefully was a one-time bad experience. Former review from last year in September 2018: Normally my wife and I go all the way to Thai of Austell by Cobb Hospital, which WAS our favorite Thai restaurant, but now we found this one and it's just as good and even closer to our home. We started with the appetizers and green tea. Tea was good. I had the Tom Kha soup which is a coconut curry based soup with chicken or shrimp, I had the chicken, it's was incredible. Normally I do not like soup nor coconut but it was very good. For my wife's appetizer she had the dumplings, they were delicious! For our main course I had the pepper steak ( they have spicy levels 1 - 5, I went with a 3 and it was very spicy but amazingly delicious). It is flank steak, red pepper, green pepper, seasonings and onions in a brown sauce, just exquisitely great. My wife had the green curry chicken, she asked for extra hot and it was, but the flavor was phenomenal. Prices were very reasonable and portions were large. Larry the owner stopped by and said hello, his wife is the also the head cook/owner. Our server was Raymond, very cool guy...if he makes a food recommendation go with it, he's funny and sharp.
