Honestly, I was not impressed. You walk in and order at the counter. The place smells like fried food. I ordered a sushi roll and a clear soup. My friend had the shrimp hibachi. At first, I was given the wrong roll. The person insisted that it was right. I showed her on the menu that the ingredients were wrong and she apologized which I appreciated. It took another 10 minutes to get the new roll (Amazing roll, I believe.) It was not amazing. It seemed to have very cheap and low quality ingredients. The clear soup wasn't the best I've had. Even during COVID the quality is amazing! I got the hibachi chicken. It was fresh and delicious as usual! I've seen the quality of food go down at some restaurants since COVID but not here. I will be back for sure read more

First time trying this place and overall it looks clean inside, people are friendly and the food looks to be made fresh. Pros- fresh food, good variety, clean kitchen up front. Cons - $58.00 order was wrong, missing parts of the order, etc, flavor kind of bland, we ordered a variety. General Tso chicken was good, steak hibachi was OK, fried rice not like I've ever had it, more like white mushy rice. lo mein was good, OEC roll was good, ordered vegie roll but that never made it into the bag although we paid for it. How fun! First time here. It's a small place. Menu is super clear and easy to read. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. I ordered the R2 - roasted pork spicy miso ramen. It was fast service. It was delicious. And the serving size was very big. Enough to share with one or two other people. The pork was tender and easy to bite apart while holding chopsticks. Bento was good! I was skeptical at first, but it actually turned out pretty well. I ordered 2 sushi rolls and they were very filling. The prices were moderate and the service was good. I didn't dine in I grabbed take out, it didn't take too long for the food to be prepared. The inside was was nice and clean. I've been craving ramen for some time so I searched yelp looking for good ramen near me. I checked out Bendoya and I hate to say it but the pork miso ramen was a let down. The pork was awesome but the broth had a weird aftertaste that required several peppermints to finally got rid of it. We also got the gyoza which was divine. The staff was friendly and the establishment was clean. All in all I will go back just not for ramen. I'll go back for more gyoza and to try the hibachi:) read more

This is a great place for sushi! Anytime I want sushi this is where I go. The prices are cheaper than other places but it doesn't lack in quality. There are other things you can get here too like bento boxes, but ive only had the sushi. They are pretty quick to get you your food, unless there are a lot of people there. YEAH....finally a an Asian Restaurant locally along University Blvd S in old Sub Shoppe facing street tiny Shopping center at entrance into Parking lot for Harvey's Grocery store behind this restaurant. Food delicious, cooked fresh. Fir this like me Veggie eater or mostly they have Veggie Fried rice and Spring Roll also Sushi. I did try the Sweet Sour Cicken and the sauce it's delicious. So, I visit my mom in Jax monthly and I usually do her shopping at Harvey's. I've seen this place since they opened but didn't visit until today when we got a menu with a coupon (2 large hibachi chicken for $16) and I am so glad I did. The first thing I noticed is that it is very clean but this is not a fine dining place. The entrée came with a plain Japanese salad which is usually just chopped up iceberg lettuce but the dressing is divine! Cold, gingery, Truly just perfect. The food came out quickly and it was obviously extremely fresh, hot and super delicious. The vegetables that came alongside of the hibachi chicken and rice were beautifully seasoned And cooked so that there was just a bit of a crunch and a lovely light sauce that had just a touch of sweetness. Usually in places like this the vegetables are a leftover but these were a star. The chicken was wonderful and the sauce was divine! Plan to come back every month when I'm here. read more

Ordered clear soup to start, had to return due to it tasting like glorified water. Waitress came back with a "new one" which was added onions and microwaved.
