Food is always fresh. Customer service is great, very friendly. Every time I have gone my wait time has been minimal. the ambiance is great as well as the music. I actually sat inside to dine in. Very clean establishment. I typical order the chicken and salmon which is always good. I did decide to get the buffalo wing and they were amazing. A perfect buffalo flavor and the wings stayed crispy (ask for well done). I will continue to go back .

Hot damn, this place is amazing! Usually lots of people do the Japanese grill, which is very…read moresimilar to Korean BBQ grilling where it's communal. But since it was just me, I opted for seating at the bar. There are 2 bars at this location--one at the drink bar and one at the sushi bar. The drinks are VERY good, and the bartenders are very receptive to your orders and all. Ambiance was good--not too dark, just right. Very chic. I ordered a LOT. Several pieces of sushi, chicken karage (which I saw people post pics of, and that's what convinced me to check it out.), Japanese curry, and some other sashimi and little burgers. They were all fantastic! The chicken karage was the big hit--so delicious you can taste it thru the pictures. The curry wasn't spicy at all, but seeing as it's Japanese style, it's more on the savory and tasty side, not on the spicy side. Overall very delicious. The wagyu sashimi was VERY long (that's what she said), so eating one piece whole isn't recommended. Chew it, then swallow. The mini burgers were everything you love about Japanese takes on purpose burgers. Done perfectly, with that amazing bbq grill taste, too. The sushi was fresh and tasted amazing. My only gripe is that their ordering system is odd; you can only order so many pieces of food per order number. There are order limits, but it's setup such that the kitchen doesn't get overwhelmed. That being said, your orders usually come out pretty quickly. I highly recommend this place!

My second time here…read more I do really like this area of Columbia and realize that I want to hang out here more often. When you arrive at the restaurant, the hostess greets you and ask if you have a reservation. Both times I've been here, it wasn't too busy but it was during the week. Service is really good. They're always very helpful in explaining the menu. We went with the AYCE Master option. The Legend option with the Wagyu looks appealing but I can't justify spending $88 a person. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem spending the money, since most of it goes to alcohol when we're having dinner anyways, but it was a really nice experience. This would be a place I would bring friends from out of town who want to have an experience similar what you would find NYC or Vegas. We had a really good time, especially on $10 margaritas and all you can eat meat. The presentation is really wonderful and I love the thought behind the presentation when it comes out. The Wagyu Fried Rice and Curry is one of the bests I've ever had. And the scallops with butter on the grill were awesome. Definitely a favorite. I will add the the iPad that you order with will start a timer for 90 minutes, and you can only put in an order every ten minutes which was annoying, so I did feel a bit of pressure with ordering. The time limit is to control time spent which makes sense if it was busy. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the wet mop smell we had during dinner, but don't know if it is because it was hot out and the AC was not blasting high enough with all the grills going off, so it was kind of hot and sticky during dinner. I may come back next time to check out Happy Hour next time! Vibes are actually pretty cool. Service is great.

I made a reservation on August 11 for 13 people at 5:00 PM for a birthday dinner. Seven of us arrived at 4:45 PM and advised the restaurant that we only needed seating for 11. We were told we had to wait until everyone arrived before being seated, even though the restaurant was not crowded. Once seated, the service continued to be extremely disappointing. My daughter's Seafood Delight was missing the scallops, which arrived later. My nephew and niece did not receive their shrimp until we had completely finished eating and were packing up to leave. The most upsetting part was the birthday celebration. We were there specifically to celebrate a birthday, yet our table did not receive the birthday celebration. I asked our cook about it and was told we were only going to receive someone singing "Happy Birthday." Meanwhile, the party behind us received their birthday celebration. As we were leaving, another party received a birthday celebration. I spoke with the manager and explained what had happened. She admitted that we should have received the celebration but said there was nothing she could do about it. This was supposed to be a special family birthday dinner. Instead, members of our party received their food extremely late, part of an entrée was forgotten, and the birthday celebration we expected never happened. After all of the problems we experienced with our food and the missed birthday celebration, we were then presented with a check that was not accurate. We had to take additional time to review the bill and address the errors before we could leave. This was extremely frustrating because we had already experienced multiple problems throughout the meal, and the billing issue added another unnecessary problem to an already disappointing birthday dinner. Mistakes can happen in a restaurant, but the way this situation was handled was unacceptable. I hope Kabu management takes this complaint seriously and addresses the service issues that occurred that evening.

I could've ordered that alone and been fine, but I was also craving sushi. I'm saving most of the fried rice and vegetables for tomorrow. The bento box was pretty good. The vegetables tasted very fresh (I love my veggies). The rice was a little sticky for my liking, but the shrimp was good and plentiful. The California rolls were standard, and the dumplings & spring rolls were both good. The only negative I have for those is that they did not include a sauce for them. Luckily I keep sweet chilli sauce in my fridge. The shrimp tempura roll was okay. It had a slight bitterness to it that I think is because it was fried in old oil. The bento box arrived piping hot, which I liked. This was after being the second stop on the delivery. Overall, I think Quickway Japanese is solid and I would order from them again if I want a quick sushi/bento meal.
