I ordered from here on DoorDash tonight and my tummy is satisfied. I got a shrimp bento box with vegetable fried rice and the shrimp tempura roll. The bento box is massive. I could've ordered that alone and been fine, but I was also craving sushi. I'm saving most of the fried rice and vegetables for tomorrow. The bento box was pretty good. The vegetables tasted very fresh (I love my veggies). The rice was a little sticky for my liking, but the shrimp was good and plentiful. The California rolls were standard, and the dumplings & spring rolls were both good. The only negative I have for those is that they did not include a sauce for them. Luckily I keep sweet chilli sauce in my fridge. The shrimp tempura roll was okay. It had a slight bitterness to it that I think is because it was fried in old oil. The bento box arrived piping hot, which I liked. This was after being the second stop on the delivery. I stopped in for a quick lunch. There was a slight delay as the doors just opened and there were about 8 ppl already in line. Once the team got going there was faster smoother service. I ordered a Bento Box and enjoyed the variety in the selection. The beef was tender and flavorful, the dumplings and spring rolls were good. The California roll was not super fresh but served its purpose. I wish there were more sauces provided. With the Bento box items you would traditionally receive soy sauce, dumpling sauce, duck/sweet sour sauce, and yum yum sauce. I only received yum yum sauce. We came here on a Thursday rainy evening on 6/4/20. Due to the pandemic, only 5 customers are allowed inside. You need to wait outside until someone exits. The employees are all wearing masks, and there are clear plastic partitions between customers and employees. We had hibachi chicken and tofu that came with a choice of 2 sides (we chose noodles and mixed vegetables) for $8.45. The portions were large. Although teriyaki sauce was poured on top, the meat was dry and some pieces were over cooked that it looked like beef instead of chicken. One container of yum yum sauce is free per entree, but it will cost 50 cents each for more. It used to be free without any limit. There is a rewards stamp card. After 5 hibachi entrees are purchased, you will get a free hibachi chicken entree. There is an incentive to return! read more

I had dinner there just last evening. Very tasty and served at a fair price. It wasn't a a high pressure situation at all.

Normally I am hesitant when going into fast food places but Quickway is one place I will never hesitate to grab food from. I know that I am vegan but I don't even care when it comes to this place. I normally get the tofu hibachi and it always comes with a side of yum yum sauce. This spot in particular went above and beyond with the topics which I found to be a rather pleasant surprise after a long day and being super hungry. The fact that they asked if I wanted teriyaki sauce, green onions, and sesame seeds brought a smile to my face. I am not sure what it was about this particular branch but the workers were all so lovely. They had a smile on their face, they were joking and having a great time with the customers, the food was cooked quickly and correctly. The eatery was very clean inside and it smelled heavenly. Though the roads of Laurel are a bit hard to navigate in general, it is very easy to find this location and there is decent parking as well. If you are in the area and need a quick bite to eat, I would highly suggest stopping by this location. I doubt you are going to be disappointed. read more

I found this gem because I was looking for hibachi that wasn't expensive! The price point is amazing for the amount of food you get. They're very fast & the food is very fresh. I love hibachi & this place hit the mark for fast food, but make it quality! *inserts Tyra Banks gif* They also give you yum yum sauce on the side. I heard about this place through the Laurel Takeout Facebook Group, and the reviews there were less than flattering. I still decided to give it a go, since I was in the mood for something quick and easy. I was pleasantly surprised! I understand that this isn't going to satisfy everyone, but it is pretty standard takeout hibachi. Think mall food court quality. I got a chicken and shrimp with veggies and fried rice, with yum yum sauce on the side. The food was tasty, chicken was a tad dry, but the sauce is there for a reason I guess! The fried rice wasn't bad either, maybe could've been improved with a little extra garlic or ginger, but otherwise was fine. As far as COVID protocols, they're doing a good job relative to a lot of places. Plastic between customers and employees, masks worn properly, and limit on the number of people allowed inside. They also have floor markers (although we know those are only as good as the people who pay attention to them). The occupancy cap is the real key, since there is plenty of room for people to stand apart while they are waiting for their food. Overall, I'd eat here again, you just need to set your expectations properly. It's a takeout spot, so if you're in the mood for authentic hibachi that will rock your world, look elsewhere. read more

I don't eat a lot so when I get a box I can usually eat it for multiple meals (which I'm not complaining and am LOVING ) and it's awesome that everytime I heat it back up it honestly tastes just as good!!! Noodles and fried rice were standard, pepper salad had lots of jalapenos. California roll was OK given that I'm a sashimi fan. Extra credit for green tea in the dispenser and free WiFi, and quantity/price. Rounding up to four stars as a pleasant gobble-and-go. Footnote now that I've got a real keyboard - as I was starting to eat, a number of Laurel city police came in for supper. The food here isn't that great it's fulfilling if you're really hungry. They charge $0.10 for to go orders. When asked why that is none of the staff were able to tell me. The door of the restaurant has been no function since last year where you have to pull hard to open the door. read more

The workers are very friendly and patient. The venue is very dated. Seating was uncomfortable. The walls, tables, chairs, just about everything is worn out and stained especially the walls. The food is surprisingly tasteless. I mean how can steak not have flavor? How can noodles be so bland I had to drown them in sauce that doesn't even go with them? Veggies just glistened in grease not flavor. Bleh. Their sushi is decent in size, rolled very well and tasty. So a winner on their sushi. Salmon, salmon/avocado, and California rolls were winners. However, they do not have low-sodium soy sauce and are stingy with their ginger. It is an ok place to eat as a last resort or if you're starving and don't want to do what we weren't willing to do. Outside of getting lost trying to find this place, I was actually pretty impressed. It was my first time going here during the quarantine and I wish I had found out about it sooner. Chicken and fried rice, beef and fried rice with those pretty amazing and I eat more than I thought I could eat simply because it tasted so good. I devoured it really quickly so I have no pictures LOL sorry. I certainly recommend if you don't want to sit down hibachi restaurant but you want a close taste-alike. The bento box is a GREAT lunch option. The food is flavorful and they allow a lot of customization to your meal. Fast service and the protein you pick is cooked after ordering, so it's fresh. I ordered a bento box about two days ago on Uber Eats and when it arrived, the sides (sushi, dumplings, and spring rolls) weren't there. I gave the store a call and the manager was super apologetic and told me I could come back anytime for a new meal. Today i called and she remembered me and was super nice about it! When i arrived she was apologetic again and very friendly, smiling, etc. I assured her it was no big deal, mistakes happen! As she made my meal herself, she told me that she even gave me extra for the inconvenience! Usually the box comes with 2pc of everything (I believe) and she gave me an 8pc of sushi and extra dumplings and rolls too! I appreciate her going above and beyond for me.
