My husband and 10-year-old daughter recently went there for dinner. My daughter is tall for her age but is still only 10 years old. They told my husband she had to pay the adult price simply because she was over a certain height. At first, I didn't believe it, so I called the restaurant myself for clarification. The manager/owner confirmed that this is their new policy. I told him I felt it was discrimination to charge a child the adult price based solely on height, especially since some children are naturally much taller than others. My family has several people who are 6'5" and taller, so she is just tall. The manager said that the policy was put in place because some people lie about their children's ages to get the lower price. I completely understand that businesses have to deal with dishonest customers, and I have no problem with restaurants enforcing rules to prevent abuse. If a child is over the height limit, require proof of age, such as a passport, school ID, birth certificate, or another form of identification. Instead, I was told that most people don't carry birth certificates and that I should "just get over it, deal with it and pay the price." Again , I understand people lie , people do things to try to get over. I understand business have to set rules. But if you're gonna say you're setting a rule, because people lie. Then put in your rules that over a certain height, you have to prove it. That just makes no sense and is just outright discriminating against children. read more

Food is great, food temperature is on point, fruits and vegetables are fresh. Service is on point from the receptionist to the attendant that assist you to your table. During dining buffet they make sure your plate is removed after each meal, and on point on attending your table needs. Buffet area is clean and pleasant to eye, the way they present the food is appealing. Overall the facility is clean, food temperature is perfect, and customer service is the best! read more

FYI----Just an FYI to serve all future customers a heads up me and my 10 year old enjoy coming here now and then . And the manager charged 2 adult prices. And stated they have a new policy that anyone over 57 inches tall is charged full adult price I am sorry to say this but my daughter likes bringing friends and used to family friendly. This place is not far from my home, I don't go often maybe once every couple of years when I want to go off the grid with my eating habits. lol I went about a month or so but could not get checked out. I only do take out but the guy at the register took care of all of his waitress tickets, I guess they were checking out their seating customers?? (Understanding, this is not the season) Unsanitary, one of the workers was "scraping" the bottom of the barrel of the ice cream containers transferring the ice cream to a new barrel. This may even be against NSF standards. General Tso chicken no juice / sauce, it appears it had been on the bar for some time. Vegetables were "mushy," another indicator that the food had been on the serving lines for some time. Variety: it appeared that there was lack of "Asian" items. Again, initially everything looked very appealing. We were passing through the area and drove out of our way to eat here. So sorry we did. We go there often and have since it first opened. I look forward to returning each time we leave. The hibachi chef has been there for a long time and does an amazing job. The staff is always friendly and helpful I even get a welcome hug from some of them during my visits. Been there over fifty times or more and never a complaint from me and I am very picky about restaurants as I spent years touring with a band and depending upon restaurant food to survive. They should be a consideration if you've never dined there. I'd bet you would enjoy. read more

This buffet isn't fantastic as far as food goes, but the price is good. We go here once in a blue moon. I like the sushi. It's good enough for sustenance,but it's not as good as the sushi at Sushi Heaven, Miso Sushi. I wish they would improve by offering more dim sum and less American food. read more

Being from CA, I was pleasantly surprised to find a decent Chinese buffet while visiting family in town. They had a large variety but I was only in the mood for fried squid, chicken wings, and vermicelli noodle stir fry. All were prepared well and well seasoned. I was shopping locally and saw this place. Japanese place, I was skeptical but pleasantly surprised. Buffet on a sunday was $12 and I was able to use a 10% off Yelp promo for the whole table. Apparently this is an all day rate. Some things this place served was oyster and clams and blue crab. This place also served hot tea too, complimentary. I think the only thing sketch is that they wanted my cell phone...like wanted to take it away when I showed the Yelp discount. One of many examples would be the fried egg rolls have nothing in them but cabbage. No vegetables, no herbs, no spices, just cabbage. Let me start off by saying, I have been a frequent customer of this buffet. I loved it and would recommend people go there. I haven't been there in over a year. Last night I treated my son and his pregnant girlfriend to go with me. My son's girlfriend got one plate and immediately got sick. My son made a few trips trying different things and he didn't take more than one bite of anything on his plates. He kept saying how nasty everything tasted. He went up and picked out a plate for hibachi, when he brought the so called steak dish back to the table, it was not the color or consistency of steak! Again, it was terrible! Meanwhile, I was eating rice with sesame chicken and cheese/ crab wontons. I couldn't even finish eating before I got sick myself. I almost vomited right in the booth. I explained to the server what happened and she said she would tell the manager. A few minutes later, she came back with our check with no explanation, no sorry, and discount. Needless to say, I was not happy. When I got to the cashier station with my check, the manager was very nasty! I said to him how sick we were and how we really didn't eat anything, other than trying stuff. His response set me on fire! He said in the last 2 hours nobody else complained! The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was pleasant up until the manager decided to discriminate against me for my service dogs which weren't even noticeable unless you saw us walking. The fact that I have to fight for my right to go and get my food because the manager does not understand the federal ADA laws and won't listen/doesn't care when I'm trying to calmly explain the ADA laws is extremely upsetting as is claiming he had a guest and would be back which appeared to be a lie on both accounts. Being asked not to go to the food bar because of their presence or leave them behind at the table where they can't even do their job is at best dehumanizing at worst dangerous to my health. If my service dogs had been poorly behaved I would have understood and taken them out before they could have even said anything, however standing there quietly watching me (their handler) and keeping an eye on their surroundings is not poorly behaved it's them simply waiting patiently making sure I don't end up in an episode that could result in injury or worse. Afterward, my husband attempted to politely request the manager's name which he adamantly refused to give. He then claimed my service dogs were a direct endangerment because someone could swallow dog hair and choke to death (not kidding) to which my husband politely explained endangerment is in regards to the dog's direct actions, not their presence. At this point, the manager claimed my husband smelled bad so he (the manager) could kick us out for that.
