Thankful for the good ole Chinese buffet when you can't decide what to eat. Something for everyone. Buffets are usually a hit or miss, depending on what your expectations are. I don't come here expecting amazing sushi. I do expect fresh hibachi food cooked to order, fried items to be crispy, and unwilted veggies and fruit. Faves: Dimsum area- siu mai, spare ribs never disappoint Fried foods- crab rangoons, sweet & sour chicken, crispy salmon skin Hibachi station Salmon head/cheeks Honey chicken Spicy chicken Noodles Fruit Dislikes: The fried Chinese "donut"! Stale, hard and not coated with any sugar Crawfish- all dead :( Sushi rice not sushi ricing Dessert area- I wish it was more exciting, or at least more traditional Asian desserts Overall, a good idea from time to time. Servers were efficient in grabbing dirty plates and refilling drinks. Prices did increase, but hey, with this economy, what hasn't?? (Besides my salary! *insert crying face emoji* lol)

Although I do think Hibachi has one of the better chinese buffets, the margin isn't by a lot. My favorite is the Hibachi station where you're able to choose from the assortment of items for them to cook for you! The servers are amazing and sweet and everything is usually clean. However, the quality got worse over the years and the sushi has a weird and fishy aroma to it. Most of the options are replaced with fried food. It's better than others though. Overall, 6/10.

    Updated prices as of 6/2/25.

Typical Chinese buffet food, but they also have some dim sum dishes, sushi/ sashimi, and of course a hibachi grill. The food is pretty consistently good and flavorful. Some of the better crawfish compared to other buffets. They are constantly bringing out fresh food and keeping the trays filled, even towards the end of the night vs other buffets that completely shut down and leave your options limited if you come in late. They do free birthdays (must be on the actual day and show id). Also note that they don't let you pay with a gift card if you are claiming a free birthday meal.

$20/adult and only 10/ seniors 60+. Crazy good value Food: [what they have, my thoughts, my favorites at the end] Fried food - french fries, popcorn shrimp, crab rangoons, chicken wing, fried doughnut, etc. [I liked their crab rangoon and popcorn shrimp! didnt try the rest] Soup - egg drop, hot and sour, porridge, and miso soup [all were good! i especially enjoyed the porridge, it had accents of ginger. very warming and soothing] Sushi - sashimi, tuna/spicy tuna roll, chef cooked rolls, salmon roll, eel avocado roll, etc. [decent sushi surprisingly] For dinner they even have crawfish that people empty in a few minutes. They even wait by the station till the staff bring out a new batch. The crab is good, seasoned, piping hot, and yummy. My favorites: Crab bake, general tso chicken, banana pudding, pork bun, hibachi, tom yum soup, cheese mussels! Service: It's a buffet so very fast of course. they clean your table and plates up fast very attentive staff. Ambiance: Very very busy, bustling? lively with large families! It's a buffet.

The amount of money we payed was not worth the quality of the food.

We arrived at 9:06PM close time is 10 however the food was cold they had turned everything off already and they only had a very small amount of food available very disappointed

I was in this side of town today, so i stopped by this place again for lunch. Same as last time i visited this place, good food, nice service. I am glad all the construction that was going on around this location, has been completed and there isn't any more going on for now, making access and egress a lot easier. Still haven't gotten around to trying the hibachi or pho that they serve, however I did find the hidden corner, where they keep and serve the ice cream cups, I didn't know about them last time. Keep up the good food, and good service. See you next time.

2024October. Price is $21 per adult for dinner and on weekends. There's some dim sum items like chicken feet and steamed buns. Sushi and sashimi items are available- quality is average. Hibachi grill is nice option for some fresh stir fry but would stay away from beef/steaks as the cuts are tough. Rest of the items are typical Chinese buffet options, along with Cajun seasoned crawfish. For birthday celebrations, they bring a lotus flower cute candle that opens.

This is one of the better Chinese Buffets in Houston. We were quite pleased with the variety. There's the usual Chinese food, but there's also a Hibachi grill and sushi/sashimi. There's even Dim Sum. Here's your chance to try Chicken Feet! Prices are very reasonable at $13.49, especially for weekday lunches. There were a lot of people around Friday lunchtime. Service and ambiance is quite typical for this type of place. The staff was quite prompt in removing the empty plates once we're done. It's even open for Christmas if you're looking for a feast on a day where most restaurants are closed.

As a fan of buffets in my prime eating/fattening days, I frequented many across the Houston area and judged it based on its selections, quality, and value. This was a very popular spot and remains one of the better selections in the area. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and Hibachi not only offers the standard Mongolian grill option but a full sushi bar with Sashimi (can be hit or miss and definitely consume at your peril), a dim sum area with chicken feet/ribs/dumplings (not bad actually), and full self-served ice cream bar (this was better pre-pandemic as the quality of the ice-cream has dropped as they switch to individual cups). There are also some expensive options like crab legs, steak, fish, and the underrated crawfish in my opinion. Overall I would rate it fairly well based on the selections and value. (even better if you're looking to bulk up and prefers Quantity over quality) There have been several price increases due to inflation over the years but for $17.99 (weeknights) and $18.99 (weekends) at the time of this review, it's still not a bad price for a buffet of this caliber.

An average Asian buffet. There is a jalapeño favor throughout some of the Chinese dishes that shouldn't be there. The made-to-order grill is a good stir-fry. The sashimi is fresh. The ice cream is nice as its individual containers of chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. The bathrooms were clean too. The char su baos were dry. Some flavors in the dishes aren't fully developed. The parking lot is large so it should be easy to find parking. The servers were quick at clearing the table. The hibachi chefs were good.

Food is pretty good depending on what you get, some of the food was not very warm, they do have a big selection of food however

Do they offer free meal for the person on his/her birthday?

Yes. Must show ID. Only valid on actual birthday and can't pay with gift card for the rest of the party.

Hi, does anyone know if this place is open for dine in? I tried calling but I keep getting sent to voicemail.

They are open for dine-in. The buffet is still a bit normal but w/ optional gloves and sanitizer provided, masks are required when getting food, and social distancing is enforced by reducing the number of tables, especially in the hibachi line.

The mapo tofu is one of the best we've had outside of Bellaire with spicy, savory, numbing, and warmth that you expect from a good mapo tofu. Crispy popcorn chicken is a classic that's spicy, lightly fried, and crisp. It has an authenticity that other places around can't replicate and makes you keep craving more. The portions are also appropriate for their price. Service is incredibly quick, and you can order as you go and receive your dish within 10-15 minutes, regardless of how busy they are. As for the ambiance, it's loud, it's hectic, and it's simple... maybe a stretch, but makes me feel like I'm eating at a mom and pop shop in the heart of China. This place is definitely a go to if I'm convincing a friend of Houston's great food scene! Rating: 4.5/5

On my most recent visit we ordered mapo tofu with pork intestines off the specials menu - a hybrid of two of my favorite Sichuan-style dishes. The blend of bouncy, savory morsels amidst tender, saucy tofu was at once revolutionary and so obvious; why hadn't I yet seen this at any other restaurant? And sure, innards may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's important for you to know that none of my past orders from the 50+ item menu have ever failed me, whether enjoyed in the restaurant or at home. Maybe you'd prefer the aromatic, classic, perfectly balanced three-cup chicken? Or the sweet-skinned duck, glazed so delicately that specks of sugar crystal threaten to jump off onto the plate as you pick up a juicy slice with your chopsticks? And if you're vegetarian, might you consider the punchy garlic eggplant or the wok-kissed string beans? I could go on. Do yourself a favor and come see for yourself, though I'd recommend parallel parking on the neighborhood streets behind the restaurant rather than the rocky parking lot, to save you some trouble. Bring friends and chow down family style - you'll need help covering as much of the menu as you can, but you'll definitely have to come back to try everything.

And their other menu items are fire as well! We went on a Sunday late evening. We had a 9 pm airport pickup at IAH so it was a perfect opportunity to grab a spectacular dinner and make the 30+ minute drive out to IAH totally worth it. Parking lot wasn't too full so that wasn't an issue. While the neighborhood ain't River Oaks luxury, it ain't too scary either. We kept it simple - ordered a whole duck and Bamboo House Special Noodle with Beef. This place ain't cheap but the food is worth every penny. It was very busy that evening so it's not a well-kept secret but also proves that eventually, Houstonians will figure out where the good food is. The duck was near perfect. They serve the duck with the pancakes (as opposed to the buns like at Arco) which is my preference. The soup that comes with it was also extremely flavorful. And the house special noodles with beef - oh my. I swear it's just one really long noodle so you may be frustrated trying to divvy up the family style bowl, but the labor is worth it. So good... Can't wait for my next airport run so I can sneak in a lunch or dinner at this place. So many other menu items I want to try!

I had previously visited the now closed Bamboo House on Westheimer and I remember being impressed by the food. I had to make an airport run and decided that it would be perfect timing to stop by this location. I highly recommend ordering the duck ahead of time, but we were lucky enough to snag one of the last ducks when we arrived around 7 pm on a Sunday evening. The waitress was super friendly and upbeat and the restaurant is older but well maintained. You can see where the food is being prepared/cooked and you can see ducks being cooked/warmed behind a glass window. The duck was absolutely spectacular with the perfect seasoned and tender meat accompanied by well rendered crispy skin. I love how the pancakes are paper thin and pair well with the scrumptious duck and other toppings. They also provide sugar and plum sauce as additional toppings which I thought was interesting but not my cup of tea. The duck soup was extremely flavorful and full bodied and went well with the duck. The noodles were also amazing with likely hand pulled noodles served with an abundance of tender beef and vegetables with a little Sichuan kick. I was intrigued by a strawberry chicken dish that I saw on the menu and I plan to try it the time. My diagnosis: hands down the best Peking duck in the greater Houston area!

Mongolian beef (2.5/5) - slightly over sauced for me; beef was pretty tender and there were carrots and edamame which is not the standard so maybe that's what makes it fusion? Fried rice (3/5) - standard style fried with small pieces of bean sprouts which I love so that was a nice surprise Egg roll (3/5) - I assume it was chicken because I didn't realize there was a choice) - it was crunchy and soft on the inside which I like, and pairs well with sriracha (did not eat till I got home) They seem to do a whole lot of take away. The staff were nice and hard working. I was excited when they first opened bc they had chow fun on the menu and being HK Cantonese, I love that dish but when I ordered it the 1st and 2nd time eight years ago instead of bean sprouts they had cabbage and that alters rhe flavor tremendously. Dry Fried Green Beans 5/5- these are the best green beans I have had in my life! I am not exaggerating like I will be thinking about these green beans all week. Do not hesitate to try these. Perfectly salty and good amount of crunch still left. The flavors they used are just perfect. Colorful Beef 4/5- The texture of the beef was so tender and not chewy at all like other places. The flavor was bright and the bell peppers were cooked through well. The issue I had with this dish was the sichuan peppercorns. I was just eating and not really looking at it super closely so I got a mouth full of these peppercorns and wow it was actually horrible. Just beware because the texture of these things are god awful and I think that they should be taken out like how a bay leaf is removed before serving. It was just really intense and it almost ruined the dish for me honestly. Other than that a great dish. My mouth was so numb but worth it. Dandan noodles 2/5- This was my first time trying this dish anywhere and I did not really enjoy it at all. The sesame flavor was really strong and it wasn't really salted at all. Very strange flavor. I will not order this again, however I do believe that the execution on this dish is great. There was a lot of sauce and the noodles were cooked well. I just really wish I liked the flavor of this dish and that's a personal problem. This dish also made my mouth numb but the flavor did not make it worth it. I wanted to like these so badly but I just couldn't do it. I will be back!
