My friends and I decided to try this ayce Korean BBQ, and we were so amazed by the price and the service. With $19.99 all day menu, you can choose many options on their menu. The meet was a little bit fatty for myself, but they were well seasoned. You can make your own taco or get Korean fried chicken at the bar also. I also want to mention the service here was excellent. They have plenty of seats so if you want to bring while your family, this would be a good option. Restaurant was clean and well organized. Right now I believe they are having 20% promotion, so you can have ayce for just $16. Highly recommend!

The meats were delicious especially the spicy beef and pork bulgogi. The galbi was delicious too. They even have a buffet line too with hot and cold items such as kimchi, gimbap, fried chicken, and other banchan. However, many of the hot items were room temp/lukewarm, which was not great but it still tasted fine. Overall, I think it's better to come during a busier time like weekend dinner instead of mid-week dinner since food is less likely to sit out during busier periods.

What was once Jin, is now Bon. AYCE KBBQ wasn't much of a thing in HTown up until a handful of years ago and Jin was one of the few local chains that was leading up the charge. As the full rebrand went into a effect a couple of years ago, the change didn't seem to stop at the name. Whatever the hypothetical reasonings behind the name (#1), it has likely resulted in everything they don't want. On the surface, it might seem like not much has changed. The format is still a mix of a la carte and self-serve buffet with limited service. Anyone who remembers what it was like during the Jin days will soon see that the food quality has gone down, the prices have gone up, and the service has not gotten better. Even first timers are likely to notice something. The meats are the biggest tragedy. Whether it's the funk from the marinated meats, or the subpar variety, I really long for better days on their end. KBBQ is one of my favorite things in life and I do hope that this location, along with the others can turn it around soon. __________ (#1) Bon like bon appetit? Or bon like root? (本) Either way, not a good look.

All You Can Eat Korean BBQ for $19.99 (plus tax and tip on a weekday) in Houston, Texas... This was such a great deal for our party of six. We walked into a nicely air-conditioned, spacious, clean, modern restaurant with easy parking and convenient restroom! The best part is that customers get to select their own meats and banchan. Examples: Take the leaner meat with less gristle! Grab more of your favorite banchan without bothering the busy workers who might forget! Another good thing was the free drink promotion: post something on social media for a complimentary soft drink! I did an Instagram story and got a free Coca-Cola! Thanks! Bonus: We had a chance to try new things like Pumpkin Porridge and shikeh. My brother-in-law is 100 percent Korean and he didn't know what these were, too! Pumpkin Porridge is like a tomato bisque, but with Pumpkin. It was a tad bit sweet with tiny bits of Pumpkin. We liked it! Shikeh is a traditional Korean sweet rice ginger punch. All six of us enjoyed the subtle ginger flavor! Cheers! Staff was very efficient in removing our used plates. They were also polite and welcoming! Thank you so much for a super awesome dining experience!

This place has seen a lot of changes over the years, even its name. I feel the quality has slightly dropped also, but otherwise Bon continues to be consistently decent. It's a nice modern interior, and service is always fast since you have the tableside light so signal a waiter over. The lunch AYCE is pretty good value. Still a decent selection of meats and sides, although the meats that sometimes remain frozen when it gets to your table isn't as high quality as many other kbbq places I've been to. My biggest gripe is the dessert drink (shikeh). It's included in the unlimited menu and is one of my favorite things there, but they cut you off after 2 orders even though it doesn't say anywhere that there's a limit. Strange how they'll let me have as much steak as I want, but not a 3rd tiny cup of rice punch.

Weird and Unauthentic KBBQ Place - Apr 23 @12:30pm - sign in on blank printer paper and hope nobody writes their name above yours in queue - saw two groups get tables after speaking with the hostess without signing in or waiting - random pillar in the middle of the restaurant still has previous establishment's name on it - booths were old, cracked, and dirty - had to wipe down with napkins to get some food off - 3 different grill types at different tables and you just get lucky or unlucky with where they seat you: portable grill, portable grill + hotpot, built-in grill that most kbbq places have. - we weren't told there was hotpot option and I only figured out when I saw our neighbor had a hotpot - overhead vents not on - smoke goes everywhere and you will smell like kbbq alllll day - no sides, like kimchi or corn etc were served at the table like modt kbbq places - buffet was dirty and options were limited and unauthentic - there was a hibachi-style section, but the cooks were making Hispanic food instead??? I think it was tacos and chips and queso. I didn't look around to see what else. - buffet plates and bowls were dirty - had to search for ones clean enough to finish wiping with a napkin - ice cream station is self-serve buckets - some of it looked like somebody changed their mind while scooping and left the scoops there instead - meat options were limited and not flavorful; 3 options were also unavailable - meat cuts are low-quality; I think we buy better cuts from Hmart than these - I ordered the cheese corn when we first sat down, followed-up halfway through the meal, and still never received it - waitress never came back, so we had to go to the front and ask if we could pay there instead Only positive is the April promotion. It only cost us $16 (+tax) per person. We knew it was a low price, so we weren't expecting top-tier food or service, but this is probably the worst dine-in dx I do not recommend paying the full $30 dinner price for this experience if you love food. But if you're not a foodie, or if you just eat to eat rather than to enjoy, this can still be a good value since it's all you can eat.

If it wasn't for the $20 AYCE lunch (and REALLY enjoyable LA Kalbi), I wouldn't come back.... That being said, they do and I like to hit this place at least once a month. Service is good except for that one annoying server that keeps going "ENJOY ENJOY!" Wife won't let me say anything mean to/about him. There is better food out there but for $20 AYCE?!? That's a pretty good deal! Looking forward to next month.

One of the better AYCE KBBQ spots in Houston. Quality meat selection at a good price make for a great value. The dinning area is very large so we've never had trouble seating and we've never felt rushed like some other places. They have a button you can push and a waitstaff will quickly come to take your order for more meat. While there are a lot of options you can self-serve like the bulgogi and spicy pork, the better options are ordered. The beef tongue is my favorite. Beef belly, pork belly, pork cheeks, galbi and beef brisket are all good too. One lesser known option is the pineapple galbi, it's a relatively large cut of meat and the pineapple is great grilled. We like to order the pineapple separately as first dessert before the ice cream.

my favorite korean bbq place with one of the lower prices compared to other k bbq places. they also have an option to add hotpot for no extra charge! i especially love the marinated meat flavor they have in the self serve aisle. the spicy bulgogi is my personal favorite. i also love ordering just pineapple to grill and eat! they have several options that aren't just raw meat which are also good such as tteokbooki, japache (clear glass noodles), wings, fried rice and more. they also have a wide selection of sides like pickled vegetables. they have a sauce station to make your own sauce! they have limited dessert options with only have a few flavors of ice cream. you also get a rice flavored drink at the end of your meal! service is always friendly!

    Ivy L.

AYCE Korean BBQ? Bon KBBQ has just that! They're actually a buffet, which I haven't seen before for the AYCE concept! You go in and there's lots of already cooked offerings like kimchi fried rice and already cooked meats! There's also a buffet table with raw items you can cook on the grill at your table - meat sitting out like this was a bit weird to me, but there is ice beneath the raw stuff! You can also order meats to be brought out to you, which I don't see why they don't just do this?! The grill didn't get very hot, seemed like a gas grill vs charcoal.. the food was alright, not very high quality meat, but the fiancé and kiddo loves the marinated kalbi and they give you pretty good portions of it per order. Lots of options.. service was good, they don't bother you too much and make sure they get you want you need, even when they're starting to close shop.. there's a bar just full of sauces as well for your meats! Ambiance is casual. Expect to walk out of there smelling like meat though cause I don't think the ventilation was very good at each of the tables.

Assorted banchan and grilling Beef Bulgogi and Spicy Pork Bulgogi. Egg toll anf Japchae (Glass Noodle)

Best bang for the buck korean bbq. Its all you can eat for $20. Everything is nice and fresh. The kimchi could use a little more kick to it, but all in all its good. They have a variety of meats and seafood to grill at your table and also already cooked meats. The banchan bar is good with a variety of sides. Well worth the trip. Paid $50 for 2 meals and tip. We drank water.

    Keisha R.

For the price point it's pretty good. Dinner is $29.99 for kbbq and hot pot. If you want hot pot, they bring out the burner/pot to your table. There were 3 or 4 broth options. I had the spicy tofu one and it wasn't super flavorful. Only ate a little bit and then asked the waiter to take it away. There are a lot of meats in the buffet line and many premium meats you can order (all included). Meat quality was normal for kbbq. There are also a lot of cooked dishes like kimchi fried rice, different stir frys and breaded chicken dishes. The kimchi fried rice wasn't great. The chicken dishes were ok. There are also soups. So the buffet is pretty extensive. So many sauces for dipping as well. The place has tvs and lots of cool lighting. Service was good. No issues there. Overall, it was ok. I'd go back and try some different meats. We don't get to try a variety of meats because the portions of meat you order with the waiter are huge. So beware of this. Maybe even ask for half portions.

I've been thinking about ice cream all day

Ask the Community - Bon KBBQ

    Is this place halal?

We appreciate your business with us, and your question is valuable to us. Our place does not offer Halal option. Thank you.

I know this has been asked but with inflation lately is it STILL 27.99 for ayce?

For now, it is still $27.99.

    Is it still BYOB?

They serve alcohol now. You can bring alcohol but have to pay a $10 corkage per bottle.

    Is it 16.99 for lunch?

    It’s $18.99.

Is the price still $25.99 Per person? 11/14/21

    It’s $27.99

Am I able to make a reservation?

Yes, we accept reservations for parties of 5 or more. You can set the reservation on our Facebook page or Google business page. Thanks!

Is there a dining time limit like at other Korean bbq places?

There’s no time limit for dining with us.

Does anyone know the meat supplier of beef and chicken for this restaurant?

Great question Wish my response had an answer Hopefully your inquiry gets attention

    So for weekdends is 26.99?

    Yes

Are the galbi and the pineapple galbi included in the all you can eat?

    Yes

How much do they charge for 8yr old kid during weekend?

$15.99 is the dinner price for that age group, I think weekends would fall in this since dinner price applies during the weekends unless they've changed that.

    Is there a time limit?

No, but the lunch price ends at 3 p.m.

Are there gluten free items on the menu?

    Yes just meat

Is it only AYCE or are there other menu items you can order, a la carte?

It's AYCE with a menu to order additional items off of, like kalbi or chicken wings. But most of the menu items are included in the AYCE price. A few will show additional priced items.

Does anyone know if they do senior discounts or birthday specials? It's my moms 64rth birthday this weekend and I was thinking about taking her. Tried calling but no answer.

I highly doubt it. Go during lunch time as it’s only $16.99 as compared to dinner which is $25.99. There are only a few things like shrimp missing from lunch menu.

    Do they take reservations?

First come first serve. Dont dont require all people of that party present to take a table, so just 1 person come early to take it.

Do they serve Korean rice or just plain rice?

They have regular steamed rice, but also kimchi fried rice and regular fried rice.

    Is it BYOB?

Yes! Until november of next year when they get their alcoholic beverage locense or whatever it is called

Do they have beef intestines (gopchang/daechang)?

    Yes

How does the extra fee for leftovers work?

If you look at the menu. It says $20 extra for leftovers.

My partner said the brisket sandwich was okay, but we both agreed that the potato salad was fantastic! The potato salad was way better than the one at Pappas Barbecue. The taste of the pulled pork tacos was great, but it was honestly too wet and made the flour tortillas too soggy and there was way too much coleslaw on top. I feel like if Killen's is going to serve pulled pork tacos there needs to be three things done. 1. Serve the tacos with an option of corn tortillas because I feel corn tortillas would've worked better to give a great contrast/pairing with the sweetness of the pulled pork and sauce. 2. Serve the corn/flour tortillas on the side so that they don't get soggy and wet. 3. There are some things that just don't belong on a taco of any kind and that's coleslaw. My partner and I also tasted the banana pudding and to say it was divine is an understatement. What I really like about this pudding was that you could taste real bananas in this pudding and it had been mixed well all together. Our total was $80 after tipping, which is a little pricey for some of the items, but honestly I would definitely come back to Killen's Barbecue when I was in the mood for barbecue.

I tried the coffee bourbon sauce and personally did not like it at all. Overall, some really good food items, but the sauces were a miss for me.
