After driving by this place a dozen plus times and always seeing a parking lot full of cars, we just had to give it a try. We walked in and paid our $20 to gorge ourselves. Started by surveying the offerings, three different hot lines, a salad area that I don't think anyone touched while we were there, a small sushi section, a Mongolian grill area in the corner, and then finally a little dessert area. Started with a sampling of the hot foods, most of the chickens are very average but the pepper beef was pretty good. I also enjoyed the cream cheese puffs. Most things were labeled, I wish the labeling would have been a little bit better, but they did list allergens on it which was nice. Next up was the sushi line, you could probably just skip this. Mostly rice with a little bit of fish, even when you grab some extra sashimi fish to throw on top, it's still very average. Mongolian grill was pretty good, I like that you can pick your own ratios of beef, pork, chicken, shrimp as well as some vegetables like peppers, broccoli, mushrooms, onions, and then throw in a yellow noodle when they cook it all up. The noodles a little firm but the use of garlic and oil that I put on made this one of my favorite dishes. The other thing that was really good was the ribs in some sort of sauce. I saw someone order a steak so I figured why not do that too. I asked for it medium rare, and was pleasantly surprised when despite it being only about a quarter inch thick, it was indeed medium rare. Nothing amazing, kind of like a flank steak, but decently flavored and tender. Wrapped it up with a desserts. The vanilla soft serve was good, a lot of the other stuff you could just skip including what looks like a chocolate cake ball but is pretty dry. The purple spiral thing was probably the best there I tried. Forgot to take a picture of the dessert plate, sorry for that. Overall, for 20 bucks you get quite the meal and it's really up to you how you want it to make it work. There were things we didn't even get around to trying like the crab, the crawfish, the shrimp you have to peel, and a handful of other dishes. It's solid for a Chinese buffet, but from a service standpoint I never did get my water refilled. For now it's new and clean inside, we'll see how it stays over time. I'm not in a rush to go back, but I'm open to the possibility.

Went here during grand opening weekend (crazy I know) - while crowded they still were able to handle it accordingly with fresh food! A lot of options , but I judge a Chinese buffet if they have good basic food: beef & broccoli at the Mongolian grill, basic chicken & broccoli, and good Chinese fried chicken wings. The chicken & broccoli at this buffet was one of the best I had. So was the beef and broccoli at the grill. The fried chicken wings were unfortunately lacking. They only had buffalo wings - not what I would expect at a Chinese buffet. Service was great for a busy night. The lion dance while eating (two shows within 1hr) - could've been a shorter show or outside. All in all.. not sure if I'll be back, unless fried chicken wings get on the menu.

We decided to visit Lins for a family birthday and they had your standard Chinese buffet options. Good and clean establishment, a bit on the smaller side. Daniella was our server and did a great job anticipating our needs and making sure our table was cleared in a timely manner.

Worth a try if you're close or in the area (located in Cypress)! The buffet wasn't anything special, to be honest. It's good if you're local to it but definitely not worth the drive. The foods were definitely fresh and had sushi and even grill options. I will say, their crawfish wasn't that good. Very bland. The service was decent and buffet was very new and clean.

My experience at Lin's Grand Buffet was good overall, mainly because of the food, but the service at check in took away from the experience. When I arrived, the girl at the front named Zaniya was very rude and had an attitude from the start. I told her I needed a table for two. She then mumbled something about drinks, and when I replied yes, she responded with an attitude saying "Yes what? Water or soda?" I was confused because she never clearly asked that question to begin with. After that, the girl with red hair also gave my wife and I attitude, which made the entire check in process feel very unwelcoming. Despite that, we did not let the service ruin our visit. The food itself was delicious. I especially loved the pineapple chicken, which was easily my favorite dish. The buffet had a good variety and most of the food was well prepared. The dessert section was disappointing. The quality was not great overall, with only a couple of items being decent. The ice cream tasted very artificial and was not enjoyable. Overall, I would definitely come back for the food, but I would not expect welcoming service. Hopefully this is something management can improve, because the food deserves a better first impression.

I don't think anything here is good. It didn't feel fresh. Some things I just literally couldn't chew through. And it's not that big. U also have to pay first and then wait for your number to be called and that could be a while. I do not recommend. I would not be shocked if I get a tummy ache later today... this is a very small buffet... I'm not sure why it's advertising largest. Is it largest chain maybe?? I do know but I'm never coming back. Also there was like no air flow and it was incredibly hot and muggy.

Went during their grand opening and got to watch the lion dance. It was so fun and I think everyone had a great time. Price is affordable and the place is clean and honestly it doesn't look like a Chinese buffet at all. Food selection could be better and most of the items were a little bit on the saltier end of the spectrum. My favorite had to be the cajun seafood-- the seasoning was PERFECT. For a buffet, you can't beat it. I died when I saw the soft serve ice cream at the dessert station. I think it's been well over 20 something years since I've last seen a buffet having soft serve. It's usually those ice cream cups that don't really taste like ice cream at your typical buffets so I was quite excited. The point I deducted was after coming back with my ice cream, I saw my entire table cleared out. And so did my Touchland hand sanitizer I had left...All was gone. Waiter apologized and everything so it's a learning experience.

This is a typical Chinese buffet. Nothing super unique but everything is done correctly and cleanly. The food is fresh and hot and nothing seems to sit out long. The service is very attentive and kind. The space is large and plenty of seating. I would definitely come back again for those nights I don't want to cook.

Cleanliness - dining area is clean. The waitstaff keeps this place in tip top shape. The only complaint I have, although not exactly about cleanliness, I would suggest that management take a look at the lock in the men's restroom. Although it was locked, someone was able to enter still. SUMMARY This is a petite Thai cafe. Everything about this place was enjoyable. I would definitely come back to try again and will highly recommend this place.

The Tom Kha had a lighter, more watery base than the rich coconut flavor I'm used to. I know this can vary by region, so it wasn't bad, just not my personal preference...The cream cheese crab wontons were decent and nicely presented. They also served a complimentary appetizer, which was a fun surprise, a taco shaped fried wonton wrapper filled with cabbage and their house dressing...Overall, if you're looking for a quick Thai bite with excellent service, this place works. I'm giving it 3.5 out of 5 not because it's bad, but because the flavors didn't quite match what I personally look for. For what it is, it's solid. -- Pilgrim Sojourner

The plus side (#1) is the abundant parking, practically guaranteed seating, and options that skew on the more authentic side of things. The downside is knowing the limitations that come with affordably priced buffets and quality of food. The official entrance is from the parking lot between Vinh Hoa (#2) and the massage. Plenty of folks will also enter from the back, which is through the Dynasty Plaza mall and takes a bit longer. It then becomes a question of stairs (parking lot) versus an escalator (mall). At $18-24 (lunch to holiday pricing), the prices aren't too steep for AYCE food. Kids 3 and under eat free but are otherwise subject to $13-14 per person. Non-water drinks are $2.39 a person, so definitely get as many refills as possible. The place is as massive on the inside as it looks on the outside. Window side seating offers an elevated view of Chinatown, but don't focus too much on the excessive finger prints along the windows. The seating is so abundant that almost any size group should have zero problem finding space. There is also a large private room that is ideal for special functions, equipped with TVs and a sound system. Food wise, it's a hodgepodge of all food types. Here's a breakdown in the stations: Mongolian Grill / Noodle Soup: This is a combo station where one can customize their stir fry. I had decent results with lo mein, an egg, some vegetables with beef slices. The person cooking drizzled sesame oil, soy sauce seasoning, and water and each time it took around 3-5 minutes. The noodle soups are a bit more standard but the options here are the noodle options are wonton noodle, beef noodle, seafood noodle, and beef pho. I wouldn't recommend ordering the latter. Fruits & Salads / Cold Dishes / Seafood: A standard selection of cold fruit salads, which is unsurprisingly the least exciting part of the buffet. I'm impressed with the variety of the sushi on the seafood end, but the presentation and fish quality is extremely mediocre. It won't deter most folks, since most people perceive value by loading up on the rolls. When in doubt, shoot for the sashimi. Entrees: With the exception of the eyesore dim sum and standard fried food selection, there is a solid selection of hot food. The weekend offerings is probably the best they'll have, but some standouts here included the thin ribeye slices, a solid mapo tofu with a kick, well seasoned clams, fish slices, pork spare ribs, a very solid steamed fish, and several varieties of fried noodle. Folks might enjoy the Chinese-American selection, which should have all the classics (sesame chicken, beef with broccoli, marinated chicken wings, etc.) and then some. Serviced as a decent job of clearing tables, offering water refills, cleaning the food counters, and replenishing empty trays. I appreciate some small touches, such as their multicolored plates for different selections, bathrooms, and well marked labels. Buffet lovers who are in it for the thrill of copious portions will likely enjoy what's available here. __________ (#1) Aside from one's waistline. (#2) https://www.yelp.com/biz/vinh-hoa-houston
