There is wide variety of different of foods that are under seasoned, overcooked, stale, over saturated in oil and/or leftover from day or two prior. The best tasting item is the frozen ice cream that you have to dip yourself which is not the most hygienic way to serve it in the age of covid and other communicable diseases. In fact the whole concept of an open air buffet is troublesome from that perspective. The waiter made my family feel rushed and collected our cups from the table without asking if we wanted more drinks as if to say our time was up. I'll never go there again. It's cheap eating. You get what you pay for. Spend a little more and eat like a king or Queen elsewhere.

My husband likes to come here. I really don't. It's like a cattle call and who knows what that Mystery casserole is. Lol. Just kidding. It isn't too bad. I come here every once in a while. My husband insists on this place.

Absolutely disgusting! DO NOT GO HERE. We took a trip down to OC NJ and wanted a place that we could get a lot from. My boyfriend could absolutely not eat anything without something being uncooked, raw, or just sat too long. Everything he got chicken wise was raw and uncooked. The broccoli you could barley chew because it basically felt like rubber. All shrimp and craw dads were completely dirty and you could tell that they didn't bother to wash them before selling. I had to force myself to eat because of how hungry I was. The butterfly shrimp I could barley bite apart they were that dry and hard and sat for too long. Everything was also messy. Food all over the tables and the floors. Water everywhere, everything all together didn't look clean. My spoon was wrapped dirty, our table was severely sticky. I was very upset about everything. We had to pay beforehand which was weird but I think I can understand why they do. They know their food is shitty, so they make you pay before hand so you can't try to walk out or not pay. Half of their food didn't make any sense. The salad table didn't have really anything to put together to make a salad besides lettuce, a few toppings, and a bunch of sauces. Their dessert table was absolutely horrible. The fruit was all brown and mushy, the cake was dry and didn't have much flavor, the ice cream was Hershey's and came in a Styrofoam container and every time I went to grab a scoop pieces of styrofoam would break off into my ice cream. All rice and noodles were over cooked, dry, and didn't have any flavor. I usually always tip, as I am a server myself. I always say if you can afford to eat out you can afford to tip. But not this time. I didn't want to cause any problems while we were there. So I wrote on my slip that food was not good, and that we would not be back. The server eventually came back over to grab plates and saw it, looked at it and said "not good?" I said no, food was raw, uncooked, dirty, dry, and unpleasant. So she said she would grab the manager. The manager comes out, not in uniform, with dirty gloves on his hands, grabs the slip, looks at it and doesn't say anything and they both walk away and nobody ever talked to us. Very dissatisfied and disappointed, we will never go back or recommend anyone to go

Best friend for life Cassidy had a great time, her favorite was the cheese spinach, said it was to die for!

It's been 2 years since the last time I stepped foot in this beautiful establishment. Two years ago, I went to the Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet during their strict Covid protocol/regulatory period. Despite these restrictions, my experience was beyond exceptional and I standby my previous highly rewarding review. Today, on this glorious historic day, I was able to reunite with my once again best friend forever to venture through the wondrous experience the Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet provides. With a large variety of options, and beyond buffet standard tasting food, I must say that this buffet remains to be my most favorite of buffets. Covid regulations have been entirely lifted but it is clear that the staff remain dedicated to ensuring a sanitized eating environment. I look forward to returning one day!

We were there on a Monday at about 4 p.m.. I was very disappointed to find no whole Maine lobsters, the reason for me taking her there. They changed the policy to weekends and holidays only for the whole lobster. Granted they still had lobster, but as a Ginger Scallion Stirfry dish. The lobster was cut into small pieces, which were overcooked and tough and dry. The sauce makes it much messier to eat. I didn't care for it at all. The huge jumbo crabs I'd seen on my previous visit, on this visit were very small. I was rather embarrassed, as I'd talked it up so much to my sister and I promised to take her there for her birthday. I was sorry she did not get to experience the same experience I'd had a month before. Yes, there are still many options to choose from. That was not the issue. When you have expectations of something and are letdown, that's a disappointment. The food was still pretty good.

Lobsters and crabs were abundant. I learned about this place awhile ago from YouTube of which many gave praises. We frequented many mid level AYCE places like this and we've found that as time goes by, quality degrades with restaurants like this. Now there was a rather long length of time between discovering this place on YouTube and actually visiting this place. I wonder if the praises that were sung about this place were still valid. I would say yes. As previously mentioned, lobsters and crabs were abundant and makes it worth the trip on that alone. As for the other offerings, it was mostly surprisingly good. Don't expect Michelin quality food here. Generally, it's about the quantity BUT the food is pretty good. The sushi/sashimi shocked me a little. AYCE sushi is usually just passable but here, I thought it was pretty good. Everyone in my group loved the quality of the salmon. Other offerings, of which there were many, were pretty good. Standouts were the lamb chops in my opinion. Dessert options wasn't as extensive as the other AYCE places I've frequented but they do the job. Aside from the usual fountain soda options (serves by the restaurant staff) , they had a few fruit drinks and a milk tea option as well as some specialty drinks in a can. Scale 1 to 5. (Keep in mind that this is based on quality you'd expect from a typical AYCE restaurant. Food 5 (large selection of food and that shellfish!) Service 5 (Friendly staff and were pretty efficient in clearing the plates) Cleanliness 4 (Place was well kept. Deducted 1 star due to the stickiness of the floor around our table which reminded me of a movie theater floor... lol) Value 5 One con to point out. The restaurant was rather large yet the bathrooms were small and couldn't accommodate a lot of people at once. Not a huge quibble as the wait wasn't astronomical BUT it did seem odd that the size of the bathroom didn't match the size of the restaurant.

The restaurant wasn't crowded at all, so I thought that was a plus on a Friday night. We were seated immediately and a gentlemen arrived at our table with menus. He explained the concept of "hot pot" items and "bbq" items for each menu and then recommended that we try both for only $5 extra. So, we did. I went with the chicken broth for my hot pot. My partner decided to go with a spicy broth. The waiter stated that we should try to pick at least 5 items per person for our dinner experience. We went with corn, short ribs, strip steak, garlic shrimp, onions, and ramen noodles. I visited the "fixing/sauce" bar and absolutely loved the recipes for the sauces you could create. I went rogue and created my own thai chili , garlic, cilantro, sauce. Our dinner options arrived promptly and we began the dining experience. Although I enjoyed the hot pot bc of the broth and how it added flavor to the food. I found that the BBQ items were more of my speed. The short ribs were delicious along with the beef strip steak and onions. I felt like the BBQ really elevated the experience for me. My partner agreed too. We simply loved the concept of this place and enjoyed all of the food we prepared. By the time we left, the restaurant was packed with people. So, we were happy that we got there at 6 pm. We have been sharing our experience with everyone and can't wait for our next visit.

The restaurant was busy due to the holiday, but the staff managed everything well and kept the buffet running smoothly. The buffet offered a wide variety of options, especially for seafood lovers. We really enjoyed the crab legs, which were refilled frequently and tasted fresh. The shrimp dishes--including fried shrimp and garlic shrimp--were flavorful and well cooked. There was also a good selection of fish, mussels, clams, and seafood stir-fry, which made the seafood section the highlight of the meal. In addition to seafood, Ichiban had plenty of Asian and American-style dishes. The hibachi grill was popular, allowing you to choose fresh ingredients like chicken, beef, shrimp, and vegetables cooked right in front of you. Sushi lovers will appreciate the sushi and sashimi selection, which included rolls, nigiri, and fresh fish options. The Chinese classics such as General Tso's chicken, lo mein, fried rice, and dumplings were tasty and comforting. Dessert options included cakes, cookies, fruit, and ice cream, which were perfect for ending the meal. Overall, the food quality, variety, and festive atmosphere made our New Year's Day visit enjoyable. Ichiban Seafood Buffet is a solid choice if you're looking for variety, generous portions, and a satisfying buffet experience. We would definitely visit again, especially for special occasions.
