Lunch buffet $14.99 and it ends at 3:30PM. Then they bring out dinner entrees like bbq Galbi ribs, crawfish, honey walnut shrimp, fried crab for dinner guests only. Still a lot of options for the lunch time service! Quality of food is okay, especially for the price They have a really nice ice cream selection though - vanilla, cookies and cream, chocolate, coffee, etc.

We rolled up to our team holiday party at Hibachi Grill Buffet, 18 deep, costing the boss $17/person for dinner, which immediately raised my foodie spidey senses...bc that is suspiciously cheap!!!The place was stuffy and empty... never a comforting sign, but the food aisles were clean and the entrees looked promising, so I went in hopeful and hungry. Reality check: the food was lukewarm at best and tasted like it had been waiting longer than we had. Quality hovered somewhere around "meh." The beef short ribs were tough enough to fight back, and the marinade was aggressively sweet... like dessert pretending to be dinner!!! The real MVP was the Mongolian grill since it was actually made fresh. Fruit, desserts, and ice cream were fine, doing their job without offending anyone. Credit where it's due: service was on point. Drinks stayed full, plates disappeared like magic.... great effort from the staff!!! But after the gift exchange, we were still hungry. So naturally, a few of us pulled a strategic escape and migrated over to Haven City to finish what the buffet couldn't. If you're on a super tight budget but want variety and your taste buds are feeling emotionally distant, this place will do the job. Just don't come expecting fireworks.... more like a polite shrug from your food.

Came here on a Saturday morning before the lunch rush. I was pleasantly surprised on how clean the food aisles were, also considering it was early. There was a good variety of food choices between seafood, chicken and beef. I won't say everything was the best but pretty good based on buffet standards. The dessert choices were also decent. Overall, the cleanliness and service was good. I would totally recommend this place, especially if you are going during off peak times.

Stopped by on Saturday, 11/29/25. $18.99 per person (weekend all day price). Price is still the same as last year and one of the affordable buffet places I have ever seen. Several seafood options still (crabs, sushi, shrimp, clams, etc). The green tea and coffee ice cream flavors are still here too! Located at the same plaza as Haven City Market.

This place is a must go when you're in West Covina. Bang for your buck and can't go wrong with the price! Delicious food and its clean so give it a try when you're in the neighborhood.

My dad wanted to try this place since the price was good, and I really wanted to enjoy it but there's some parts I'm okay and some I'm just not okay with. Table seating is fine, we almost go fast in the back but since my dad had a long day of walking we asked to sit in the middle which the server let us. The foods I tried and enjoyed: coconut shrimp, fried chicken wings, fried shrimp, teriyaki chicken, crab rangoon, spicy fish, hibachi grilled pork steak, and ice cream. The foods I tried and did not like: sushi (rice was too dry, I didn't get any raw fish since it didn't look fresh), bbq chicken (super salty), pizza (yeast flavor too strong), noodles (too oily), beef galbi (too chewy), egg custard (too dry), apple pie (too slimy inside), cake (too dry), and sweet and sour fish (wet and no taste). Overall for the price I think trying the food it was worth it. This is a standard cheap china buffet which I do enjoy a second time because then I'll be able to get what I know tastes good. Unfortunately, I knocked out an extra star because the bathroom situation was a bit rough. The doors to the gendered restrooms are kept wide open, the stalls are so close to the doors, one of the stalls door was hard to close without touching the toilet, and there's only two stalls out of three and they ran out of paper towels.

I love Hibachi Grill buffet that offers many different kinds of delicious food, seafood, meat, vegestables, salad bar, sushi bar, cakes, icecream. The sign at the door shows a big A from the health department I just had a lovely lunch. This time I tried the wonderful grilled vegestables, shrimp, chicken & thin pork chop ( I like it thin) & I can see my food being grilled. I gave a tip of course as it was well cooked & delicious. I love their senior citizen price of $12.99 for lunch.

Surprised I didn't have tummy trouble with low qualify grubs like these

Been here many times before, and haven't lately. Now I realized why... it's not the food, but the service. Especially the front counter lady. No matter you're an elderly or children, she would interrogate your @$$ like a missile base's gate keeper! "How old are you? Oh you're not qualified for a discount!" Jesus! It's only a couple of dollars difference! Food wise, didn't expect anything amazing, but the dishes were mostly cold! I mean, how tough is it to keep the hot water underneath the pans hot? Shrimps were tiny AF. Soups too salty and too thick in texture like glue. I wouldn't even dare to touch the cold dishes and let alone salad. Only got sodas refilled once since the waiters were too busy chit chatting. I still tipped fairly, but coming back, again? Highly doubtful.

Date of visit: November 22, 2024 My fiancee's uncle's funeral reception was held at Hibachi Grill Buffet - located within a very busy shopping mall (we lucked out finding parking nearby after circling the parking lot a few times). While the restaurant itself was clean, and the service wasn't too bad - initially they had glasses full of drinks on one of the side tables, which the servers refilled... eventually - the food was just serviceable. I was looking for stuff that I normally don't get at Asian buffets, but it seems like the same selections of appetizers, sushi, mains, and the grill were available. (Except for shu mai - that was conspicuously absent.) Not just that, while I'd limited myself to the sushi, potstickers, edamame, and seafood mix, they all tasted a bit on the bland side. The only saving grace I could think of was the coffee ice cream on the dessert bar. Not that bad, but not that great, either... though at a regular price of $18 on weekends, Hibachi Grill Buffet is a bit of a steal.

I was eating broccoli when I suddenly found a maggot in it absolutely disgusting. To make things even worse, there was a dead beetle on the floor and flies landing all over the food and desserts. I even told one of the workers about a fly, and he completely ignored me, which made the situation even more frustrating. The entire place felt unhygienic and unacceptable. This was easily the worst buffet experience I've ever had. I'm honestly shocked. I will never be coming back.

One of the worst Asian buffets around. Food at dinner time was very stale. The only saving grace was the Mongolian BBQ. Service was good.

Super solid spot for a family dinner!…read more We ordered a massive spread from here and honestly, everything was really good. The kung pao chicken had a great savory flavor with just the right amount of kick and a good crunch from the peanuts, while the orange chicken had a really good, tangy sweet glaze to it. Just a heads-up if you like it super crunchy, their version is definitely on the softer, saucier side (which I prefer), but the flavor is spot on. The minced chicken lettuce wraps were fresh and super flavorful, and the egg drop soup was pure comfort in a bowl and came out piping hot. The absolute standout was definitely the deep fried fish fillet. The batter was super light and airy, and the fish inside was perfectly flaky and tender. We paired it all with the vegetable lo mein, which was loaded with veggies and the noodles weren't mushy at all, which is always a win. Portions are good, everything feels fresh, and it definitely hits the spot. We have been dining here for years and will continue to do so!

I heard great things about this and finally tried it!…read more When I drove into the parking lot, it's a large plaza. I was able to find parking pretty close and tried to avoid parking in the reserved spots for specific stores. It was quiet and empty when I went in, the place was spacious and I saw seating and a drink fountain dispenser (a few drinks not available but they had my Diet Pepsi). I was greeted warmly and I ordered two 3 item combos: Chow mien, orange chicken, mushroom chicken, and pork stew White rice, teriyaki chicken, chicken and potato stew, and salt and pepper chicken. My favorite was teriyaki chicken and salt and pepper chicken. Everything was good honestly, I didn't have anything bad to say other than the containers will leak through into the bag and you will get sauce on the napkins, utensils, and sauce packets. For the price, it was $30 plus drink and can definitely satiate 4-6 people. They have a tip jar and since I paid cash, I forgot to tip but will go back and make sure I tip! The server is really nice, we chatted a little and she is very sweet. Apparently my bf knows about the place and the owners years ago so next time I'll bring him to try it now!

It really goes to show how the surrounding community that has a balance of different ethnic group comes to appreciation the good flavor and quality of this Chinese cuisine. The services here are very friendly and attentive. The only thing to keep in mind is that if you come in an hour before they close they will let you know that in advance. I think the intent is so you order fast and don't linger. Not a negative for me since my family usually is pretty quick about eating and going. They are also pretty good with customizing their ingredients. My wife is gluten free so we would ask that they not add in soy sauce or oyster sauce in some of the dishes that we know can still work without those two ingredients. You would need to know how to customize it yourself as I don't think they would know what to do if you simply say no gluten. Overall, I really don't have anything negative to say about this place. We walk in hungry and happy and we come out full and satisfied.

Service was good. The people there speak the same language as us which is Cantonese , which made it easy to order the I came here with my family and we ordered a 2, two-entrée plate with noodles for just $10.99. The price was very affordable--especially compared to places like Panda Express; and the portions were incredibly generous. The plate was absolutely loaded with food, so much that we originally planned to order two but ended up sharing just one because it was more than enough. The food itself was fresh, hot, and really flavorful. We tried the orange chicken, Kung Pao chicken, mushroom chicken, and the string bean chicken and all were delicious. Everything tasted well-prepared and satisfying. The service was good, and it made ordering easy since the staff spoke both Mandarin, Cantonese, and English. We visited during lunchtime, and there was a line, which shows how popular the place is. Despite that, the wait was reasonable. They also have some seating available, which is convenient if you want to eat right there. Overall, this spot definitely lived up to the recommendation from our family friends. Great value, tasty food, and generous portions; I'll definitely be coming back.
