I heard great things about this and finally tried it! When I drove into the parking lot, it's a large plaza. I was able to find parking pretty close and tried to avoid parking in the reserved spots for specific stores. It was quiet and empty when I went in, the place was spacious and I saw seating and a drink fountain dispenser (a few drinks not available but they had my Diet Pepsi). I was greeted warmly and I ordered two 3 item combos: Chow mien, orange chicken, mushroom chicken, and pork stew White rice, teriyaki chicken, chicken and potato stew, and salt and pepper chicken. My favorite was teriyaki chicken and salt and pepper chicken. Everything was good honestly, I didn't have anything bad to say other than the containers will leak through into the bag and you will get sauce on the napkins, utensils, and sauce packets. For the price, it was $30 plus drink and can definitely satiate 4-6 people. They have a tip jar and since I paid cash, I forgot to tip but will go back and make sure I tip! I used to eat here everyday, the value is just hard to beat. A combo B the 2 item combo weight alone is enough to overfill and adult. I think a 3 item combo is a good size to split between 2 people. There's just one person in the front, be nice be patient. She usually hooks it up and really packs on the noodles and the other items. The place is located on Azusa Ave near Chuck E Cheese, it has a few tables inside but most order to go. It is clean and welcoming. They have a wide variety of items and will make soup, fried rice and special dishes to order. The service is friendly and quick and the food is always fresh and tasty. We've been to Panda Wok a few times now, and honestly, it never disappoints. I usually get the 2 item combo with chow mein, broccoli beef, and orange chicken, classic and comforting, with good flavor and solid portions. BUT the real star? The cream cheese wontons. Crispy, creamy, and lowkey addictive. We came back specifically for those. They hit the spot every time. The restaurant itself is usually pretty empty when we go, but it's super clean, and that's always a win in my book. The service is great too, the woman working the counter was really friendly and made sure we had all the sauces, plates, and utensils we needed. Not to mention, she hooked it up with portions, and definitely gave me my moneys worth! Sadly...They gave me almost rotten meat going out. You could taste it that it was already going bad The meat was part of the beef and broccoli also, the person that was taking care of us was very rude older lady. The egg rolls tasted bad as well. Teriyaki chicken was very dry. I will definitely not recommend anybody come to this place if they continue with unethical practices. I didn't call the FDA or reported this place. That will be up to the next person. I would advise the owner to dispose of any meat past it's expiration date or going bad. Food poisoning and lawsuits are a subject of real matter. I rarely eat out, but this has always been my go‑to Chinese food spot. I would go anywhere else because I'm always disappointed. Today I visited the location an hour away near my friend's place since I saw the same name and I just found out they're the original owners !!!! and wow, you can taste the difference. The moment I took the first bite, it felt like stepping back eight years. The flavor is exactly the same as I remember before the owners sold the other location. I still love both spots , but the other location spot never tasted quite right after the change, but this one? This is the real deal. Fresh, flavorful, consistent, and made with the same love and quality I fell in love with years ago. Terrable experience. I got there after 11:00 am and ordered two plates. I then drove back home, which is about nine and a half miles away. After taking care of a few things at home, I sat at the table to start eating; upon my first bite of the chicken vegetable dish it turned out to be extremely Terrable. The same with the chow mein. All I had left to eat was a salad in the refrigerator. After completing the salad, I then packed up the Tainted panda wok food, gathered up some other items I need to take care of and headed back out. Now, on the road, I stopped at the places I needed to stop at, because they were the closest. The last stop was back at panda wok, where the female clerk refused to give me a refund for the Tainted food, because I was there about three hours ago. She kept saying I should have called them, but being upset about the Tainted food they served me wasn't a good idea. Eventually, she asked the manager about giving me a refund, however he said the same thing, three hours is too long, even though 99% of the Tainted food is being returned. Plus he didn't even look at me or talk to me about the situation. The female clerk acted as of she was calling another manager, but stated he's not picking up the phone. Regardless, we argued back and fourth until she finally gave me a refund, but refused to give me the receipt back. I tried to argue about this as well, but she absolutely refused to give me the receipt back. I gave up on trying to get the receipt back and just walked away. I was craving Chinese Food and it was late. I couldn't resist the temptation, So I  went to Panda Wok about half an hour before closing time. The place was crowded. Something happened that night, because I found out I wasn't the only one who was craving Chinese food,but there were many people who had the same ideas! The line was long but it moved fast. They had 3 types of combo plate; one item, two or three items. I got 3 items for my first two orders including barbecue pork, beef broccoli, barbecue chicken and half rice / half chow Mein. For the third order I chose shrimps with half chow Mein & half rice The food was really delicious, the amount was enormous. I also ordered wonton & cheese roll, but they were not that good. The lady who served us was super nice and friendly. The place was very clean although they were close to the closing time. They kept bringing out hot delicious trays from the kitchen while I was waiting to receive my orders. There were plenty of parking spots in Covina plaza, it was so easy to find a spot. Asian lady seemed nice enough, but the portions she attempted to serve was laughable. She started off with a medium scoop of rice followed by the smallest portion of noodles ever seen. Then, a trashy lady comes rushing in, needing to complete her previous order (guess she went to her car to get some money) which is fine because it gave me the perfect opportunity to cancel and leave!! Bye!! Recommendation: While Tasty Goody down the street may cost a dollar more per box, you'll easily get TWICE the amount. This is absolutely my favorite Chinese fast food spot in covina. My boyfriend showed me this spot and now we go almost every week. The portions are good and we love all the meat dishes we've tried. The workers are always very polite and kind; much friendlier and tastier than Tasty Goody. Tonight was our first time here. Some spots are very hit or miss, and today, Panda Wok was a definite HIT. The restaurant itself was very clean and well kept. The lady who helped us was very nice and welcoming. The combo plates, which we ordered two of, were reasonably priced and well worth what you are given, as well as an order of egg rolls. Unlike some of the reviews who mention the lady working the front, my experience here was different. The lady up front was actually very nice, at least to my mom she was. She was cordial to me as well but with my mother she was very sweet. The shop itself was very clean and nice and I love that she has her good luck table with the coins and stuff. The rice and the noodles were okay and the orange chicken had a nice flavor to it. But, the broccoli beef had a bad smell to it that lingered in my car. It didn't taste good either. It's as if the meat was very old or it was a combination of old and fresh meat mixed together. I can't exactly pinpoint what it was but it was inedible and I lost my appetite. You can smell it when you take a bite, I felt bad hurting my moms feelings because she apparently likes coming here but even she noticed the food was off this time. Price was ok(got 2 large combos). 3.5 stars, very large portions for the money you spend, the crew really packs the to go container and makes it heavy and dense. Speed is also very fast, you are often in and out within 5 minutes. It's normal takeout Chinese food. Orange chicken is good but some pieces will have a heavy amount of breading, very saucy which I'm sure some people will like. The fried spicy fish is abnormally spicy for Chinese takeout. I like it a lot but just a warning for those that don't really eat hot stuff. Fried rice is the bar minimum they can do to look right, very little egg, peas, and carrot. If you just pretend it's normal rice with a slight wok taste and soy sauce it's fine.
